It's always a bit of a gamble when a brand launches a cheaper, less-specced version of its flagship model. Whilst it's good news for anyone who wants the same experience without the premium price tag, there's usually something you have to give up – hence why I've been so keen to try the Roborock Saros 20 Neo.

Launched at IFA 2026, just nine months after its predecessor, the Saros 20 Neo shares many of the original's features but comes in at a lower price. Having tested the Saros 20, which I awarded five stars and soon placed at the top of our best robot vacuum cleaner guide, I was keen to see how the Neo compared.

Price and availability

The Saros 20 Neo has an RRP of £999 and is available in black or white from Roborock's online store and Amazon.

In the US, it's sold as the Roborock Qrevo Edge 3 Pro. Both models share the same core hardware, including 36,000Pa suction, dual spinning mop pads with a 15mm lift, a 6,400mAh battery and threshold-climbing capabilities.

Unboxing and set up

Getting started was straightforward, involving unpacking the robot and docking station, removing the protective packaging and checking that the brushes, dust bag and mop pads are fitted correctly. I placed it against a wall in my kitchen and near a power socket, with enough room around it for the robot to move freely. I then filled the clean-water tank, checked the dirty-water tank was in place and plugged it in.

Having tested other Roborock robots, I simply added the Saros 20 Neo as a new device in the app and followed the instructions to connect it to Wi-Fi. From there, I set my cleaning preferences, schedules and carpet settings before running the robot to create its initial map.

Design and features

Like Roborock's other models, the Saros 20 Neo is designed to handle most of your floor cleaning with minimal intervention. It measures just under 8cm tall and has a retractable LiDAR sensor that rises to map rooms and navigate around furniture, then lowers when the robot needs to squeeze beneath beds, sofas and other low-clearance spaces.

The robot measures 35 x 35 x 80cm, whilst the dock is considerably larger at 40 x 49 x 45cm. The dock has a more rounded design rather than the original's squarer shape.

The Saros 20 Neo has a 36,000Pa HyperForce motor designed to pick up dust, dirt and debris from hard floors and carpets. Its DuoDivide main brush and FlexiArm Arc side brush help reduce hair tangles, whilst the extendable side brush reaches into corners and along edges. The robot can also adjust its brushes and mop setup depending on the floor it's cleaning, lifting components or detaching the mop pads to help keep carpets dry.

Mopping is handled by two spinning pads that rotate at up to 200rpm and apply up to 14N of downward pressure. Warm water helps loosen stubborn marks, whilst the Edge Mopping System is designed to get closer to walls and corners. On carpets, the robot can adjust its chassis to maintain suction on pile up to 3cm deep, although some carpet-specific settings need to be enabled in the app.

One of the more unique features is the AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0, which is exclusive to the Saros 20 range. It helps the robot climb raised thresholds, with Roborock saying it can cross a single threshold up to 4.5cm high, or two consecutive thresholds measuring 4.5cm and 4.3cm.

Navigation combines the retractable LiDAR sensor with an RGB camera and structured-light sensing to map your home and recognise more than 300 obstacles. You can also set it to clean behind curtains, return to areas it skipped when something was in the way, and adjust its movements if it gets caught around furniture legs.

Interestingly, there are features for pet owners too, which I've been looking forward to trying having just welcomed home a new puppy. The robot can recognise nearby animals and adjust its route to avoid them, take photos when it spots them and use the app's Search for the Pet feature to help locate them. A video-call function also lets you check in through the onboard camera and remotely guide the robot around your home.

The docking station empties the robot's dustbin into a dust bag, refills its water tank and washes the mop pads using water heated to up to 100°C. It then dries the pads with warm air at up to 55°C and cleans the dock itself. A small light on the front also lets you know when the tanks need attention, shining white when everything is fine and red when something needs to be emptied or refilled.

The system also dispenses cleaning solution and adjusts its mop-washing routine depending on how dirty the pads are. Roborock claims the 2.7-litre dust bag holds up to 65 days' worth of dirt, although this will depend on how often you clean and how much debris the robot picks up.

Saros 20 vs Saros 20 Neo: what's the difference?

The Saros 20 Neo retains most of the original Saros 20's core cleaning features, but there are a few differences, with the biggest being navigation. The original uses StarSight Autonomous System 2.0, a tower-free navigation system, whilst the Neo switches to retractable LiDAR. That doesn't mean the Neo can't navigate beneath low furniture, but it does use different hardware to map and move around your home.

Interestingly, mopping pressure is actually higher on the Neo, reaching up to 14N compared with up to 13N on the Saros 20.

Crucially, both models retain 36,000Pa suction, the AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0 threshold-climbing system, dual anti-tangle brushes, automatic mop detachment and a dock with hot-water mop washing and warm-air drying. I'd argue these are amongst the most important features anyway, so the Neo is still well equipped despite the changes.

Performance

Having spent time with the original Saros 20, I was curious to see whether switching to the Neo would feel like a downgrade, but I found the experience to be almost identical. I barely noticed a difference in how it navigated around my home, and it managed to spot every kind of obstacle, including recognising and labelling my dog's cage on the app.

The initial mapping took slightly longer than it did with the original Saros 20, but we're talking about a relatively minor difference. Once the map was ready, the Neo navigated confidently, working its way around furniture and handling my home's layout without any issues. If I hadn't known about the change to the navigation system, I'm not sure I'd have noticed much difference at all.

Cleaning was just as good as I'd hoped, with the 36,000Pa suction picking up everyday dirt whilst the extending side brush got into corners and along skirting boards. The mopping was also impressive, particularly in my kitchen, where the pads did a great job of dealing with muddy paw prints. The anti-tangle brushes also kept hair from becoming a problem, and I liked being able to leave the robot to get on with things without worrying about it dragging wet mop pads across my rugs.

After a few uses, I did notice some hair collecting around the base where the mop pads sit. It could be that the vacuum isn't picking up everything the pads gather, but it was easy enough to wipe away with a cloth every now and then. It didn't seem to affect the robot's performance, but keeping the dock clean is always a good idea.

Verdict

The Saros 20 Neo may sit below the original in Roborock's lineup, but after testing both, the differences were hard to spot. I found the two remarkably similar in everyday use, from the impressive vacuuming and mopping to the navigation and obstacle recognition. Whilst mapping took a little longer, I barely noticed any difference once it got going. It's still a significant investment, but if you want premium cleaning without paying quite as much, the Neo gets the important things right.

Alternatives to consider

I've mentioned it enough already, but the original Roborock Saros 20 remains a good alternative, particularly if your budget stretches further. It's worth comparing current prices though, as a discount on the original could make the decision less straightforward.

The Eufy Omni S2 is another model to consider if you're after similar maintenance-free cleaning features. It uses a roller mop that continuously cleans itself with fresh water, alongside AI-powered obstacle avoidance designed to navigate around everyday clutter and pets. It doesn't match the Saros 20 Neo's low-profile design or threshold-climbing ability, but it's still worth a look.

Roborock is taking on Dyson and Shark with its latest wet-and-dry vacuum cleaner – and it’s finally available in the UK. The new Roborock F25 Ultra is the brand’s first handheld vacuum with steam and hot water cleaning modes, and it has a clever lay-flat design to help it get into all your home’s nooks and crannies.

Wet-and-dry vacuums have taken over the cleaning market, as a quick and easy way to get your floors clean and sparkling without dirty water cross-contamination. The new Roborock F25 Ultra takes this one step further with its high-temperature cleaning that tackles stains, grease and dirt in a more hygienic way.

The Roborock F25 Ultra uses VaporFlow and WaveFlow technology to clean up dried-on spills and stains. It produces 150°C steam which works to loosen these types of stains, while the flow and 86°C temperature hot water breaks down grease and stickiness.

This action, especially the steaming, makes the Roborock F25 Ultra a seriously hygienic vacuum-mop hybrid that removes 99.99% of bacteria and allergens. Not only does its technologies ensure an effectively clean floor, but it doesn’t leave them too wet or soggy, or use any harsh chemicals on your flooring.

As a vacuum, the Roborock F25 Ultra has a 22,000 Pa suction power to suck up dirt and debris. It also has a tangle-free brush head roller, so it’s suitable for homes with pets and people with long hair, and has four cleaning modes to choose from – Auto, Sponge, Steam and Hot Water.

The design of the Roborock F25 Ultra is similar to other wet-and-dry vacuums, with a water tank in the head, an LED display at the top, and an extra-long handle. It looks quite chunky, but the Roborock F25 Ultra actually has a 12.5cm lay-flat design which allows it to fold down by 180°C to get underneath furniture.

As the Roborock F25 Ultra moves around on its SlideTech 2.0 wheels, it has a blue light that illuminates any missing dirt and dust, and a DirTech smart sensor detects dirt and adjusts its cleaning power accordingly. The brush head also has a JawScraper which reduces tangles and streaks left behind by mopping.

For maintenance, the Roborock F25 Ultra comes with a self-cleaning and drying roller. The steam and hot water cleans the roller, and the main head of the Roborock F25 Ultra has an automatic detergent dispenser in the one litre water tank which lasts for up to 30 days before it needs refilling.

Users of the Roborock F25 Ultra will have to manually separate the wet and dry waste, but this is relatively easy to do. The Roborock F25 Ultra also has up to 60 minutes of runtime, and can connect to the Roborock app for scheduling, and self-cleaning and drying information.

The Roborock F25 Ultra is available to buy now for £699 / $799 at Roborock and select retailers, like Amazon.

It's safe to say I was pretty excited when Dyson's new robot vacuum cleaner lineup launched last month. This was not only because three models arrived at once, but also because they all came with different features, requirements and price points – meaning there's something for everyone.

As a result, I decided the R2 Nurovi would be a good place to start as the middle model. This was mostly because I have a mix of hard floors and carpet, but also because slightly higher suction power is needed in my house due to our five-month-old puppy.

That meant the conditions were pretty much perfect, leaving me with one more thing to do... put it to the test.

Price and availability

The Dyson R2 Nurovi is priced at £749.99 ($699) and can be purchased from Dyson's website, as well as Argos, John Lewis and Currys.

As mentioned, it's the middle model in the lineup, sitting between the hard-floor R1 Nurovi and the upcoming R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub, which uses an AI stain scanner to identify and tackle invisible stains.

Unboxing and set up

The R2 Nurovi is easy to set up and connects to your phone via the usual MyDyson app, which I've become very familiar with. This involves plugging in the dock and using the app to find nearby products to connect to, with the R2 Nurovi appearing almost immediately.

You can see me setting it up by filling the tanks and attaching the anti-tangle side sweeper below too:

The app then takes you through a few steps, including connecting it to your Wi-Fi and the robot itself. This took me a few attempts, as the app got stuck on the pairing request page, but everything was connected properly within about 10 minutes. If you experience the same issue, just relaunch the app until it works.

After that, the robot mapped my chosen area, which didn't take long at all, allowing me to edit and split rooms when needed. I then connected it to my Amazon Alexa (steps here if needed) so I could use voice control when required, and then it was all good to go.

Design and features

The R2 Nurovi has an understated Light Grey and Vinca Blue design, with Dyson retaining the distinctive canister-style look of its robot vacuum docks. The robot itself measures 35cm wide and 35cm long, stands at just under 10cm tall and weighs 3.6kg, whilst the docking station weighs 9.2kg and measures 52cm high, 47cm long and 42cm wide. I personally love the way it looks, and it's nice change from the usual black square docks provided by other brands.

The R2 vacuums and washes hard floors at the same time, rather than requiring separate cleaning runs. Dyson has designed it around a new Twin-Capture system, which uses two stages to deal with different types of dirt. A brush bar mechanically sweeps larger debris into the machine, whilst the vacuum motor focuses on fine dust and smaller particles.

There's also a 21,000Pa suction motor and an anti-tangle brush bar designed to pick up and de-tangle hair, including pet hair.

One of the more unusual design features is the Reuleaux triangle wash pads, which allow the points of the triangles to reach further into corners and along edges. This improves floor-washing coverage right up to walls, where circular pads can leave gaps.

The R2 also has extending anti-tangle side sweepers, which are designed to deal with dirt collecting around the edges of rooms. The sweepers extend 27mm from the robot to get closer to walls and into corners, whilst their redesigned structure guides dust and debris into the airflow.

The robot also uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect whether the floor is hard or carpeted, allowing the R2 to adjust its suction, whilst a sensor also monitors dust levels. The piezo system counts and sizes dust particles and can automatically boost suction when it detects that more cleaning power is needed.

Navigation has also been upgraded from previous models, with the R2 using high-speed LiDAR to scan and map your home, allowing it to navigate rooms, avoid obstacles and clean systematically. It can also climb over raised areas of up to 40mm.

In terms of battery life, Dyson quotes a maximum runtime of 90 minutes, with a 6.5-hour charge time.

Its docking station automatically washes the Reuleaux triangle pads with 75°C heated water after cleaning, before drying them with 45°C hot air. Dyson says this helps prevent mould and odour build-up, whilst dirty water is extracted hygienically during the cleaning process.

The dock also takes care of the dry debris and has eight Dyson cyclones that separate dust and debris when the robot returns, with the dock able to store up to 90 days of dry waste. The R2's bin has a 2.6-litre capacity, whilst the dock also automatically refills, self-cleans and recharges the robot – but more on this shortly.

Performance

I've been impressed by the Dyson R2 Nurovi's cleaning performance, particularly on hard floors. The app is easy to navigate, and I liked being able to split rooms and add furniture to the map. Having those visual reference points makes it much easier to see where the robot is cleaning, rather than trying to decipher a basic floor plan.

The R2 vacuumed and mopped my living room and dining room in around 20 minutes, which is on the speedy side. Having it tackle both jobs at once is also brilliant, particularly in a busy home with pets or children, where floors rarely stay clutter-free for long.

My home has hard floors and rugs, and the R2 handled that combination without any issues during my testing. That said, I've seen reports of other users experiencing problems with the robot getting stuck, so I'd be more cautious if your home has deep-pile carpets or lots of different floor surfaces. It wasn't something I encountered myself, but it's worth bearing in mind.

Unfortunately, the biggest issue I've had with the R2 is its Twin-Capture system. This collects dust and debris inside the robot before transferring it into the larger dust container in the dock. After a few cleaning runs, I noticed that the transfer wasn't working properly, with debris building up in the robot's onboard container instead of being emptied automatically.

I tried triggering a manual empty through the app, but that didn't seem to dislodge the blockage. The onboard container has two compartments, and on closer inspection, the upper section attached to the filter appeared to be clogged with dust. I manually removed the accumulated debris from both sections, hoping this would help the dock suction everything out more effectively.

Even after I'd cleared the blockage, the transfer didn't seem particularly powerful once I started paying closer attention. I knew the system was working to some extent, and there were no seals I'd forgotten to remove, but the process of getting debris from the robot into the dock was clearly being affected.

This is a pretty significant drawback for a robot vacuum that's designed to take care of cleaning with minimal intervention. Having to empty the onboard container manually takes away much of that convenience, and it put a real dampener on what had otherwise been a positive experience. I've since been more careful about how much debris I let the robot pick up in one go, and I make sure to check and empty it after each run.

I was also keen to see how well the triangular mop pads handled corners, but after watching the robot clean, I was a little disappointed. I understand the thinking behind the shape, and I was hoping it would make a more noticeable difference, but the pads didn't reach into corners as effectively as I'd expected.

The extending side sweepers were much more successful, doing a good job of picking up leftover hair and dust along skirting boards. The dock is also very loud when emptying the robot, although that's hardly unusual for this type of vacuum – it's just something to keep in mind.

Verdict

The Dyson R2 Nurovi has a lot going for it. It cleans hard floors brilliantly, tackles vacuuming and mopping in one go, and is quick enough to make a noticeable difference to your daily routine. I also love the app and the robot's design, whilst the extending side sweepers do a good job of picking up dirt along edges. Unfortunately, the dust-transfer issue I encountered is difficult to overlook. Having to manually clear the onboard container after cleaning defeats much of the point of buying a robot vacuum at this price, and the triangular mop pads didn't quite live up to my expectations either. There’s plenty to like about the R2 Nurovi, but at £750, I’d expect it to take care of the cleaning without leaving me to finish the job.

Alternatives to consider

As mentioned, Dyson has launched three models in the same lineup with different needs in mind, so you can move up to the R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub if you want more advanced suction and scrubbing, or down to the R1 if you find yourself using your robot on hard floors only. However, it's worth noting the R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub is currently only available in the US, and will come to the UK early next year.

However, if I had to recommend another brand, it would be the Eufy Omni S2. The Eufy has higher suction levels, but the mopping style and corner-reach designs are very similar, and the dust storage capacities are almost identical. However, the Eufy is considerably more expensive, so the R2 Nurovi is the better option if you're shopping on a budget.

The Tapo RV30 Max Plus Gen 2 has dropped to just £199 on the brand's own website, knocking an impressive 33% off its original price. The robot vacuum only launched at the beginning of September, making it just over a month old.

Launched as an upgraded replacement for the original RV30 Max Plus, which scored four stars in our full review, the new model delivers 13,000Pa of suction power and retains Tapo's Tangle-Free Cutting Brush. This picks up hair before automatically cutting and detangling it in the dock, helping to keep the brush from getting clogged.

There are plenty of other useful upgrades too, including improved edge-to-corner cleaning, a new-generation dToF LiDAR system and automatic carpet detection, which adjusts the cleaning to suit the surface.

If you're short on space, the docking station is relatively compact at around 11 x 9 inches, yet still offers up to 90 days of hands-free maintenance. Not bad for a robot vacuum that now costs less than £200.

The Shark AquaReach Pro has arrived in the UK after first launching in the US back in August. It comes with multiple tools, as well as an extendable wand designed to bring the same cleaning power to surfaces the floorhead can't reach.

In the US, the AquaReach launched in three models – the Essential, Pro and Premium – offering different runtimes and attachments. For now, the Pro is the only model available in the UK, but hopefully the other two will follow soon.

It's priced at £499.99 in the UK (and remains $499.99 in the US) and is available to buy from SharkNinja's website. The brand has also said additional colours and retail availability will arrive in the coming weeks.

As mentioned, the AquaReach Pro tackles wet and dry messes simultaneously, with a continuously rotating brush roll, powerful suction and cleaning solution working together to loosen, scrub and lift stains from hard floors. A dual-tank system keeps clean and dirty water separate, whilst the on-dock rinse cycle refreshes the brush roll after every use to help prevent dirty water and debris from being redeposited onto your floors.

It also comes with a Stain Scrubber attachment, featuring a targeted spray and powerful suction to tackle stuck-on messes. There's also a Detailer Mop that reaches under furniture, along edges and into tight corners for more targeted mopping and debris pickup.

Yep, you've read that right. As Senior Homes Writer at T3, it's my job to test the best (and worst) robot vacuum cleaners on the market today, which means I have a pretty strong idea of which models are actually worth it when sales such as Amazon's Big Deal Days roll around.

When I say tested, that can mean anything from putting a robot vacuum through a proper review to getting hands-on with one at events such as IFA. Either way, I've seen plenty of these machines up close, so I have a good feel for which brands and models are worth your attention.

As a result, I've picked out the robot vacuums I'd personally recommend buying this Prime Day, and you'll find each of them below.

Despite Anker primarily focusing its robot vacuum offering on the new Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E35 at IFA 2026, there was another model announced at the event. Well, that model is now available to buy, and the price is actually better than expected.

The Anker Eufy C30 Edge is rated for 35,000Pa of suction, putting it close to the current levels of the best robot vacuums on the market. Interestingly, the Omni E35 has the same suction rating but costs around £300 more, making the C30 Edge a strong alternative.

The C30 Edge is priced at £699 through Anker's online store and John Lewis, whilst it's available for $899 in the US.

The C30 Edge uses what Anker calls AeroTurbo Multi-Cyclone Filtration, designed to keep 99.99% of dust away from the filter. The idea is to reduce clogging and help the vacuum maintain its suction performance for up to 365 days.

It also has an extending mop pad, which uses a side-line laser to recognise more than 100 baseboard profiles. This allows the mop to reach further along edges and into recessed corners, tackling some of the areas that robot vacuums can traditionally struggle to reach.

The docking station handles most of the maintenance, automatically washing and drying the mop, managing the water and making dock cleaning easier. It can also charge during off-peak hours, whilst the 2.5-litre dust bag provides up to 60 days of hands-free dust disposal.

There are also several buying options available through Anker, with different bundles including varying quantities of dust bags and cleaning solutions. So, if you're planning to pick one up, it's worth comparing the bundles rather than automatically going for the standard package.

Shark has just launched its latest robot vacuum cleaner and mop in the US. Designed for first-time robot vacuum owners, the new Shark Navigator 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop sets up in just minutes, and takes care of the entire navigation, cleaning and emptying processes.

As T3’s Home Editor, I’ve tested many vacuum cleaners, but robot models are my least favourite to try, mainly due to the setup process. No matter the brand or model, I’ve always found setting up a robot vacuum really difficult, and it takes up quite a lot of time.

But Shark’s new robot vacuum-mop sounds like it’s solved this tricky setup problem. The Shark Navigator 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop automatically connects to Bluetooth and pairs with Wi-Fi which takes a matter of minutes. From there, the Shark Navigator starts cleaning your home with just one click, making it great for robot vacuum for beginners.

Once set up, the Shark Navigator uses 360° LiDAR and SmartPath Max Navigation to map your entire home, and guide the robot around each room. SmartPath Max also enables the robot to clean row by row, so it completely covers every surface area of your home.

In terms of cleaning, the Shark Navigator has a self-cleaning brushroll which is featured in many of Shark’s robot, upright and cordless vacuum cleaners. The brushroll prevents pet and human hair from getting tangled, and easily cleans across carpet and hard floor with powerful suction.

With Floor Detect, the Shark Navigator can recognise different floor types, and adjust its power when needed. For mopping, the Shark Navigator removes stains and spills, and the detection technology automatically avoids carpet and rugs, so they don’t get them wet. Cleaning and mopping can be monitored via the SharkClean app, where you can also schedule cleans, and customise maps.

The Shark Navigator comes with a self-empty bagless base which holds up to 60 days of dirt. When the robot is finished cleaning, the Shark Navigator empties the dirt into the base, so you don’t have to do any maintenance or clean-up.

Prices on the Shark Navigator 2-in-1 Robot Vacuum and Mop starts at $599. As of writing, it’s not yet available in the UK, but we hope to see it arrive in the UK market in the next few months.

SwitchBot has launched its latest robot vacuum cleaner, featuring its smallest robot and dock yet. Despite its small size and footprint, the SwitchBot K11+ Pro is packed full of intelligent features, including 12,000Pa suction, dual anti-tangle brushes, and in-depth mapping – and that’s all for under £400 / $400.

One of my biggest gripes with robot vacuum cleaners is their size, more specifically the dock. While the actual cleaning robots tend to be quite compact, the docking stations are sizable pieces of kit, and they take up a large amount of space in your home.

Luckily, SwitchBot has clearly thought about this with the launch of its new SwitchBot K11+ Pro. The auto-empty dock measures 25cm in height, 24cm in width and 18cm in depth, so it can slot into your house and sit underneath low shelves and cabinets. The dock may be small, but it has a built-in 4-litre dust bag that holds dirt for up to 90 days before you need to empty it.

Built on SwitchBot’s K11 mini robot vacuum design, the K11+ Pro robot measures 9.2cm in height and 24.8cm in diameter, so it can get underneath furniture like sofas and chair legs. Available in black or white, it weighs just 2.3kg and can even be picked up and carried from room to room.

But don’t let the small size fool you – the SwitchBot K11+ Pro has a lot under the hood. It has an upgraded volute centrifugal fan system that uses 12,000Pa of suction to clean your home of dirt, dust, pet hair and other particles, over both carpet and hardwood floors.

The main brush head of the SwitchBot K11+ Pro is made from rubber, which prevents hair from getting tangled around the roller. Handy for pet owners or people with long hair, the brush is accompanied by a two-arm anti-tangle side brush which loosens hair from the brush, and guides it into the suction inlet.

For mapping, the SwitchBot K11+ Pro supports up to five maps, so you can create cleaning plans and routes for multiple rooms in your house. It maps using LDS LiDAR navigation, and PSD close-range sensing, so it can recognise and avoid certain objects, like wall edges.

While in action, the SwitchBot K11+ Pro makes minimal noise, and operates as low as 45dB, so you can set it and forget it while you go about your day. It can also be used remotely via the SwitchBot app, which you can also use to set schedules and zones, plus it’s compatible with Alexa, Apple Home, Google Assistant and Matter.

The Gtech AirRAM MK2 is arriving in Lidl’s middle aisle tomorrow, with a huge £85 discount that makes it one of the retailer’s more tempting vacuum deals in recent months.

Usually priced at £230, the AirRAM MK2 is a hugely popular model and is often praised for its lightweight design and impressive battery life. It also uses Gtech’s patented AirLOC Technology, which is designed to capture larger debris as you push the vacuum forwards, whilst picking up finer dust as you pull it back.

You’ll be able to pick one up from tomorrow, Thursday 24th September, although I’d recommend checking Lidl’s stock checker before making a special journey, as availability can vary between stores.

Lidl has been adding some impressive products to its middle aisle recently, including the Philips 1000 Series Dual Basket Air Fryer, which also arrived with an impressive £80 discount.

We’ve actually tested the pet version of the Gtech AirRAM MK2 here at T3, where it picked up an impressive four star rating in our full review. Gtech is a brand we really like, so if you’ve been looking for a new cordless vacuum, this is definitely one I’d be keeping an eye out for.

Ultenic just turned its U20 cordless vacuum cleaner into a mop with its latest launch. The new Ultenic U20 Mopper is a vacuum-mop hybrid that offers both cleaning methods in one single, lightweight and affordable device – but it's the hair detangling that I’m most impressed with.

Ultenic launched its U20 cordless vacuum in mid-2025, and it currently sits in spot two in our cordless vacuum guide. Our Senior Home Writer enjoyed its quality, self-standing build, LED touchscreen and large bin but commented that its 55kPa suction could be more powerful.

Now it seems that Ultenic listened with the launch of the new Ultenic U20 Mopper, which not only offers a mopping function, but also has an increased 60kPa suction. This extra power allows the vacuum-mop to clean up dirt from carpets and hardwood floors in a single pass.

To use its integrated mopping function, the Ultenic U20 Mopper comes with a removable 230ml water tank that cleans up stubborn stains. Users simply detach the mop tank, fill it with water and put it back in the brush head to activate mopping.

Despite its clever vacuuming and mopping head, the thing that I was most impressed by with the Ultenic U20 Mopper was its Anti-Hair Collector. The upgraded Anti-Hair Collector acts as a scarper to prevent hair from wrapping around the brush head and getting clogged in the dustbin.

It’s a similar concept to Shark’s Anti-Hair Wrap technology which tends to have more of a focus on detangling the brushroll. With the Ultenic U20 Mopper, the de-tangling is focused on both the dustbin and brush head. At 1.5-litres, the dustbin is also more spacious so you shouldn’t have to empty it as much after each clean.

Another upgrade is its Flexible Bendable Tube. measuring 65cm, the tube of the vacuum folds down to reach underneath furniture like sofas and beds. It uses GreenEye technology to illuminate hidden dirt, and its 7-stage filtration system to keep your vacuum more hygienic.

With up to 60 minutes of battery life, and a touchscreen, self-standing design, the Ultenic U20 Mopper has taken the great features from the U20 and made them better – and added some handy mopping extras.

The Ultenic U20 Mopper is available to buy for £169.99 / $259.99 at Ultenic and select retailers, like Amazon. It comes with a mutli-surface accessory kit which includes the water tank, microfibre pads, 2-in-1 brush and a crevice tool.

iRobot has unveiled the Roomba Duo at IFA 2026, and it's a rather unusual concept. Instead of relying on a single robot to do everything, the system pairs a larger robot that vacuums and steam-mops with a much smaller robot designed to reach the places its bigger counterpart can't.

It arrives alongside the new Roomba Max 875 Combo Robot + AutoWash Dock, which takes a more traditional approach to robot cleaning and is already available to buy. The Duo, meanwhile, is all about exploring what could come next for iRobot.

Unfortunately, the Roomba Duo is still just a concept, and iRobot hasn't announced plans to bring it to market. Still, it's interesting to see the company experimenting with a completely different approach, particularly after what has been a challenging period for the brand.

Both robots use ClearView Pro LiDAR and PrecisionVision AI to navigate and avoid obstacles, whilst elevated AI cameras on the main robot help create detailed maps and identify areas that need extra cleaning. Its large 17cm wheels are also designed to help it move across different surfaces and thresholds.

The shared AutoWash dock takes care of much of the maintenance, washing and drying the mops, emptying dust and managing clean and dirty water. iRobot says the dust bag can hold several months' worth of debris, so the system is designed to require very little hands-on maintenance.

The smaller companion robot then takes care of the awkward spots, heading beneath furniture and tackling edges and corners where dust and pet hair tend to collect. Its PerfectEdge mop extends by up to 31mm, whilst the side brush reaches along walls and skirting boards.

As mentioned, whether the Roomba Duo will ever make it beyond the concept stage remains to be seen, but it's certainly an interesting glimpse at where iRobot could take its robot vacuums next.

MOVA has launched its V70 Ultra Complete, its most advanced robot vacuum cleaner and mop yet. With extendable mops and brushes, powerful suction and intelligent mapping, the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete looks like the whole package – and its price isn’t bad, either.

With all the advancements in the robot vacuum space, from climbing stairs to arms that pick up socks, one thing a robot vac has yet to excel at is edge cleaning. Due to their circular shape, it can be hard for these types of vacuums to get close to corners and into hard-to-reach areas – until now, that is.

The MOVA V70 Ultra Complete tackles these tricky areas, and reaches places other robot vacuums just can’t, thanks to its MaxiReachX technology. The robot vac-mop has a 17cm extending mop and 12cm side brush that pop out from the robot’s body to get into corners and skirting boards, and underneath furniture.

With up to 42,000Pa suction power, the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete can easily clean carpets and hardwood floors, and it automatically adjusts to these floor types and different rooms. For mopping, its motor spins the pads up to 300RPM and applies a downward pressure to remove tough stains.

To navigate your home, the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete uses AI and sensors to map your space, and recognise over 300 obstacles. For stair-climbing robot fans, it comes with the StepMaster System 2.0 which allows it to climb obstacles up to 9cm using its tiny robot legs – a concept I will never get behind as it slightly terrifies me.

The MOVA V70 Ultra Complete comes with an all-in-one docking station which self-cleans and empties the robot vacuum. It has an EcoCyclone bagless dust container that can store dirt for up to 100 days, and it’s washable to limit disposable dust bag waste.

The station also washes and dries the mop pads with heated water and air, and recharges the MOVA V70 Ultra Complete’s 6400mAh battery to give the robot vac-mop up to 220 minutes of runtime.

The MOVA V70 Ultra Complete is available to buy for £1,219 / $1,299 at MOVA and select retailers, like Very and B&Q. It’s not a budget product by any means, but it’s well priced compared to other competitors.

At IFA 2026, Narwal announced a new range of vacuum cleaners, including robot, stick and wet-and-dry models. But the vacuum that stuck out to me the most was the Narwal V50 Cube, the brand’s first-ever stick vacuum which comes with its very own 5-in-1 multifunction docking station.

While it’s not unusual for a stick vacuum to come with a dock, they’re mainly used for recharging or storage. But the Narwal V50 Cube takes this one step further with its new dock as it combines auto-emptying, self-cleaning, storage, charging and filtration in one compact station.

According to Narwal, the dock takes up less space than an iPad Air, due to its small and compact size that’s 52% smaller than Narwal's other docks. It offers 100-days of auto-emptying, and has a H13 HEPA filter and UV sterilisation to keep your vacuum as clean as possible and without releasing allergens in the air with its antibacterial seal.

Once docked, the Narwal V50 Cube self-cleans and automatically charges itself. Despite its smaller size, the dock can also store the vacuum, its backup battery and multi-surface tools, of which the Narwal V50 Cube comes with an anti-tangle brush, extension wand, motorised hand tool and a 2-in-1 crevice tool.

Onto its cleaning power, the Narwal V50 Cube offers 210AW Turbo Power to expertly clean your floors. While it can clean up both carpet and hardwood floors, it excels at cleaning carpets with its CarpetFocus mode that increases pressure to get deep into the fibres.

Like Shark, the Narwal V50 Cube has a de-tangling system in the brush head to avoid hair getting stuck during cleaning. The head gets into tight corners and hard-to-reach edges while its ‘Cyber Glow’ accent lighting illuminates any dirt you may have missed.

The Narwal V50 Cube comes with AI and detection technologies, including AI DirtSense which switches modes when it detects different types of dirt. With a 1.4kg weight, the Narwal V50 Cube is extremely lightweight and has an ergonomic handle so you can comfortably clean your entire house. Its dual battery system and 180 minute runtime also ensures this.

The Narwal V50 Cube is expected to launch later this year in the US. UK availability has yet to be confirmed.

I’ve gone through many different vacuum cleaners over the years, and I still have yet to find my perfect model. But the vacuum brand that I consistently go back to is Shark.

I’ve had many Shark vacuums over the years, including upright, stick and handheld models, and the Shark PowerDetect Transformer is a combination of all three in one device. This latest vacuum from Shark is designed to clean all floor types, be easy to maneuver from floor to floor, and get underneath furniture and into corners.

While it’ll take a lot for me to go back to a corded, upright vacuum cleaner, the Shark PowerDetect Transformer may have changed my mind. I spent three weeks testing it, and this is how I got on.

Shark PowerDetect Transformer review: unboxing and setup

The Shark PowerDetect Transformer arrived in a large cardboard box, disassembled and wrapped in paper bags and sticky packaging. Putting it together was extremely easy and took just a few minutes. An instructional manual was in the box but the entire process was very self-explanatory so it wasn’t all that needed.

First, I inserted the anti-odour box into the main brush head which consisted of me lining up the arrows and clicking and locking it into place. From there, I clicked the main stick pole into the brush head, and slid the large bin onto the front, before attaching the handle.

As a corded vacuum cleaner, the Shark PowerDetect Transformer has a long eight metre power cord. It came with a duster crevice tool, stair tool, HairPro Pet Power Brush and an Anti-Allergen Dusting Brush which clips onto the handheld part of the machine.

Shark PowerDetect Transformer review: design and features

When fully assembled in its upright position, the Shark PowerDetect Transformer measures 117.2cm in height, 28.5cm in depth and 30.6cm in width. It weighs 8kg with the main 1.3-litre bin attached which I found to be extremely heavy. It felt significantly lighter when in stick mode.

As a 3-in-1 device, the Shark PowerDetect Transformer offers upright, stick and handheld cleaning. To convert it from upright to stick, simply unclip the main bin, and then the vacuum can fold down to clean underneath furniture. For handheld, remove the main wand, and attach accessories for cleaning your car, the stairs, and hard-to-reach spots.

Each ‘mode’ is designed for different cleaning tasks. As an upright vacuum, the Shark PowerDetect Transformer is best for cleaning carpets as it has a stronger suction, while stick is easier to carry and get into difficult areas. Handheld is even better at that, and is good for smaller, more controlled cleaning tasks, like getting into the crevices of your car seats.

The Shark PowerDetect Transformer has an intelligent brush head with Anti-Hair Wrap technology to avoid tangles, and an LED light to illuminate dirt. The controls for the Shark PowerDetect Transformer are on the handle, including on/off and floor type, but the vacuum responds to floors itself with its detection technologies.

Shark has given the PowerDetect Transformer four different detection technologies, including direction, floor, edge and dirt. Direction senses how you’re moving the vacuum and will change its suction to forward or backward, while floor detects the floor type and adjusts its power. Edge senses corners, and dirt boosts power when it recognises different types and levels of dirt.

The Shark PowerDetect Transformer actually has two bins – the main large bin at the front and a smaller bin at the top, just underneath the handle. The main bin collects dirt while in upright mode, but when you take it off for stick or handheld, the smaller bin collects debris.

To empty the smaller bin, keep the Shark PowerDetect Transformer on and clip the main bin back onto the vacuum. The bin will then automatically empty into the main bin so you don’t have to empty two bins. It also has HEPA filtration and anti-allergen seal technology to trap dirt, allergens and dust, and prevent odours.

Shark PowerDetect Transformer review: performance

The Shark PowerDetect Transformer hasn’t been out for very long, but I think it’s one of Shark’s most intelligent designs. It offers three cleaning types in one, and does it with a quick and simple assembly system. Clipping the main bin on and off was simple, mess-free and took no time at all.

The controls at the top of the Shark PowerDetect Transformer were easy to use, although with its detection technologies, I rarely needed to use them. The vacuum and brush head immediately recognised different levels of dust and dirt, and I could hear it boost its power when it noticed these things which I really appreciated.

While cleaning, I found the Shark PowerDetect Transformer to work expertly on both hardwood and carpets. The LED light at the front was very bright – I’d go as far to say you could clean with the lights off and still see what you were doing! Its suction power was incredibly impressive, and it sucked up dirt quickly and effectively on single passes.

One area I found the Shark PowerDetect Transformer struggled with was dust. I noticed that it often just pushed dust around rather than hoovering it up, so it took several passes before it got everything. However, the vacuum got into corners and edges nicely.

The handheld mode was good, and its attachments were well made. It cleaned my stairs extremely well, although I found it hard to remove the accessories at times. The stick vacuum was helpful, especially to get low to the floor, and to carry the vacuum up and down my stairs. The length of the cord is generous, so while cordless is preferred, I didn’t find it to be limiting.

My main issue with the Shark PowerDetect Transformer is its weight. As an upright model, it’s extremely heavy and I felt like I really had to push it around, especially on carpet. It was slightly easier to maneuver on hardwood, but some people will struggle with it – it felt like I was doing an arm workout! It’s not the quietest, either.

Shark PowerDetect Transformer review: verdict

The Shark PowerDetect Transformer is undeniably a very clever and useful 3-in-1 vacuum cleaner. Having three cleaning options in one device makes cleaning your entire house – carpet, hardwood, stairs, furniture, car, and any other nooks and crannies – an absolute doddle.

The bin of the Shark PowerDetect Transformer was my favourite part. Having two separate bins meant you could transform the vacuum into different modes, while only having to empty one bin, and it kept everything hygienic and allergen-free. Stick mode was definitely my favourite as it took some serious weight off, and got into tricky areas and under furniture.

Its weight is the main issue for me, but the good thing is you can choose to use the Shark PowerDetect Transformer just as a stick and handheld, and only make it upright to empty the bin. Its noise will be loved by parents who vacuum to wake you up, but in general, it is quite loud when in use and when emptying. Its dust pick-up could be better, too.

Overall, though, I enjoyed using the Shark PowerDetect Transformer, and it’s become my ‘upstairs’ vacuum, as it expertly cleans both my carpet and hardwood on those floors.

Shark PowerDetect Transformer review: alternatives to consider

If upright is your bag, the Hoover H-Upright 300 Pets is a great corded vacuum cleaner that’s extremely lightweight. There’s plenty of cable to go around, and it expertly cleans up pet and human hair, as well as other dirt and debris.

Another upright model – but this one is cordless – is the Gtech AirRAM Platinum. It’s extremely slim, and offers an excellent performance across all floor types. Its LED headlights are like Shark’s, and it also has a clever bin-emptying system.

Finally, if you’re a Shark fan but want an upright cordless model, the Shark FreeStyle Pro is light, easy to carry and despite its clunky bin, it turns corners well and gets into tricky spaces.

Developed in collaboration with Ecovacs, Bosch has launched its new Built-In Vacuum and Mop Robot, designed to integrate both the robot and its docking station directly into kitchen cabinetry.

The system is designed to fit in or next to a sink base cabinet and can be installed by a trained kitchen installer. Bosch says it's being introduced across more than 400 independent kitchen retailers in the UK and Ireland.

The built-in model is part of Bosch's new UK robot vacuum range, which also includes standalone models for anyone who doesn't want an integrated option. It's priced at £2,100 (around $2,800) and you can find stockists via Bosch's website.

This isn't the first built-in robot vacuum we've seen, but it's one of the more notable examples to actually reach mainstream retail. LG also launched a robot vacuum with a built-in station last year, although it still isn't available to buy.

Once it's finished cleaning, the Bosch robot automatically returns to its station, where it empties its dust box, cleans and dries its mopping pads, and recharges. The station connects directly to fresh water, wastewater and power, and can wash the mops with 75°C hot water and dry them with 45°C hot air. It also dispenses floor-cleaning detergent and cleans the station itself.

It features 20,000Pa of suction power, making it Bosch's most powerful robot vacuum to date. At just 84mm high, it's designed to get underneath furniture and into trickier areas, whilst it can also cross barriers of up to 20mm, including door thresholds.

You can control the robot through the Home Connect app, with options to adjust floor plans, create no-go zones and set cleaning routines. It also supports multi-floor mapping across up to three floors.

At IFA 2026, Dreame announced its latest flagship robot vacuum cleaner, and it looks like the brand’s most advanced model yet. The new Dreame Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete has been upgraded with better mapping and climbing technology, and it comes with a clever steam cleaning feature.

Robot vacuum cleaners have gotten extremely advanced over the years, with many even being able to climb the stairs – terrifying, I know. But the Dreame Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete marks a serious milestone as it’s one of the first robot vacuum-mops that can steam clean your floors.

Previously, if a robot vacuum had a steam function, it didn’t directly steam the floor. Instead, its base station used steam to wash and sanitise its mop pads after cleaning. In comparison, the Dreame Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete can actually steam your floors by releasing up to 180°C of steam through four outlets on the roller edge.

The steaming function of the Dreame Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete is designed for spot cleaning. It’s best for loosening dried-on stains before the roller head completely removes and cleans the floor using hot water. It also uses steam to self-clean at 100°C.

For vacuuming, the Dreame Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete has 40,000 Pa suction power, and a new HyperSteam Detangling Floor Brush 2.0. The updated brush head uses a combination of rubber and crystal brushes to collect large dirt and dust in different sized spaces.

To separate its vacuuming and mopping, the Dreame Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete has a Triple Tech Hub that lifts the brushes and mops up to 15mm when needed. It can also extend its mop rollers to 8cm for edge cleaning.

Speaking of lifting, the Dreame Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete can climb steps and thresholds up to 10cm, thanks to its ProLeap Obstacle Clearance technology. Its mapping and detection is also better than before. Powered by OmniSense 4.0, the robot vac-mop uses X-Vision dual AI cameras and VersaLink navigation to map your home.

During cleaning, the AI cameras adapt to your environment so it can react to moving objects, and can even re-route in real-time. The Dreame Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete can also recognise over 320 different objects, some even as small as 1cm.

Dreame states that this new robot vacuum-mop has a four hour runtime, although its battery life is notably smaller when using the steam function. This limits the Dreame Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete runtime to around 40 minutes. To switch this off, you’ll need to manually do this in the app.

The Dreame Aqua20 Pro Ultra Roller X Complete is expected to launch in select European countries on September 21st. As of writing, UK and US availability has yet to be confirmed and pricing is also being kept under wraps.

IFA 2026 took place last week, and it’s the time of year when huge appliance manufacturers announce a whole host of new products and collections – and this year, Haier is no exception.

Haier has announced a massive new line-up of appliances, including fridge freezers, washing machines, tumble dryers and coffee machines. But something I was most surprised to see from Haier was its new vacuum cleaner line-up, called the I-Pro Clean Series 5.

Within the range are upright, cordless and robot vacuum models, all of which are designed for specific cleaning needs, like floor types, different stains and dirt. One characteristic which ties the Haier I-Pro Clean Series 5 together is its Double Roller system.

Haier’s Double Roller technology features two motorised rollers which work together during cleaning, including forward and backward motion. The counter-rotating rollers capture and pick up more dirt while also reducing the amount of passes the vacuum does over the same surface.

The first model from the Haier I-Pro Clean Series 5 range is the Haier I-Pro Clean M5. This cordless vacuum cleaner has up to 250 air watts of suction power and uses an integrated sensor to detect and monitor dirt, and adjust the vacuum’s power for an efficient clean.

The design of the Haier I-Pro Clean M5 is simple, with a large bin at the top of the vacuum, and a display at the top for the controls. It also shows you real-time feedback as you clean. It has a flexible tube design which allows it to get under furniture, and it has up to 100 minutes of runtime.

Within its bin, the Haier I-Pro Clean M5 has a HEPA 13 filter and a five-stage separation system which captures dust and other small particles. Its self-emptying station also works to prevent these allergens and bacteria from getting back into the air, and has advanced plasma disinfection technology to keep itself clean, as well as your floors.

In terms of robots, the Haier I-Pro Clean R5 has up to 22,000 Pa suction power, and combines its Double Roller system with a roller mop for both vacuuming and mopping. Its mop can extend and lift to avoid carpet, and it thoroughly cleans multiple surfaces of dirt, dust and stains.

The Haier I-Pro Clean R5 has an LDS navigation system with an AI camera that makes maps, detects and avoids obstacles, and recognises dirt. It comes with a docking station that charges, empties and washes and dries itself.

Finally, Haier is taking on the Dyson Wash G1 with its own floor washer. The Haier I-Pro Clean Z5 uses its Double Roller system and dirt detection to adjust the amount of water it adds to your floors. Not only does it ensure a thorough clean, but it stops excess water making your floors too slippery and avoids cross-contimation with dirty water.

As a cordless device, the Haier I-Pro Clean Z5 has a 50 minute runtime, and an auto clean function which washes and dries its rollers when finished. It has an impressive 25,000 Pa suction power, and offers edge-to-edge cleaning to get close to the edges and corners of your home.

Haier has many appliances under its belt, but its new flagship cleaner line-up definitely looks like it could give Shark and Dyson a run for their money.

Roborock has taken the covers off a crop of new products at IFA 2026, including the dazzling Saros 20 robot vacuum range. Top of the pile has to be the Roborock Saros Rover, which has already been showcased at CES in Las Vegas and features independently adjustable legs that make it one of the most agile robovacs out there.

However, for the team here at T3 Towers, the Roborock Saros 20 Flow Complete offers less in the way of party tricks, but delivers oodles more practicality. The appliance boasts a formidable 36,000 Pa HyperForce suction motor system, which looked really impressive when it was in action on the huge Roborock show floor.

This model has also got an upgraded AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0, which means it’s more than capable of getting over obstacles around the home, including thresholds of up to 8.8cm. The Roborock Saros 20 Flow Complete also packs a roller mop, for tackling hard floor surfaces, spillages and stains.

The Roborock Saros 20 Flow Complete behaves smartly too, thanks to its RetractSense LiDAR Navigation system, which helps it get under low furniture. The 3D obstacle recognition was similarly impressive during demonstrations, underlining how Roborock seems to have got it just about right with its latest crop of machines.

Roborock Saros 20 Neo

Another highlight of the imposing Roborock booth was the Roborock Saros 20 Neo. Roborock has tailored this machine towards homes with more complex floor layouts, which combined with its beefy specification makes it a great all-rounder.

The Roborock Saros 20 Neo sports a similarly beefy arsenal of cleaning tools, including the AdaptiLift Chassis 3.0 setup, advanced navigation and obstacle recognition (over 300 different items no less) as well as a 36,000 Pa HyperForce suction motor. It’s also great at getting into low-slung environments, right on down to space of 7.95cm.

Adding extra appeal to the specification is a dual anti-tangle system, which makes it useful for shaggy dog owners and other pet hair scenarios. Meanwhile, the warm-water mopping system can apply up to 14N of downward pressure when needed, making the Saros 20 Neo a good option for folks who face stubborn floor stains on a regular basis.

The docking station also washes the mop with 100°C hot water, which should keep the roller in tip top condition. It’ll also cover nearly 350 m² on a single charge.

Both the Roborock Saros 20 Flow Complete and the Roborock Saros 20 Neo also benefit from European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF) certification, which means they’re officially ‘Allergy Friendly’.

Roborock RockAqua P1

However, Roborock also continues to diversify its innovative product portfolio, adding the RockAqua P1, its first robotic pool cleaner to the collection. It looks very cool, with a design that appears almost too good to put under water.

Much like its dry land Roborock counterparts, the robotic pool cleaner features an enviable ability to tackle complex pool shapes covering floors and walls as it goes, right up to a minimum depth of 15cm. It features 6,800 GPH of suction, packs a 4-litre debris basket into the body shape and the 180 μm + 70 μm dual filtration system means it’s easily able to collect dirt and debris effectively.

There’s a runtime of up to 3.5 hours, recharging takes about the same amount of time and a built-in monocular camera ensures obstacle avoidance. Meanwhile, dynamic dirt detection assists the machine in adapting to ever-changing pool conditions. Fishing it out of the pool is also not needed thanks to the Auto Waterline Parking, which automatically brings the robot to the surface.

Roborock F25 Ultra Steam Gen2 and more

Roborock also revealed a slew of other goodies, including its so-called intelligent cleaning solutions that consisted of the Roborock F25 Ultra Steam Gen2 and the Roborock F25 Pro Turbo Combo. The former had a nifty high-temperature steam and hot-water cleaning design that was easily able to tackle stubborn and dried-on stains during the brand’s keynote event.

Meanwhile, the Roborock F25 Pro Turbo Combo had a clever 5-in-1 system that makes it a brilliant multi-tasking machine, transforming it from a wet/dry vacuum into a cordless machine that can be used on standalone items of furniture or for forays into those hard-to-reach areas around the home.

Elsewhere, the Roborock RockNeo Q2 LiDAR robotic mower was just as impressive. This cool-looking creation can cover areas of lawn up to 800 m². It comes packed with top tech too, including Sentisphere LiDAR environmental perception and ReactiVision Fusion features that offer the latest in cable and antenna-free navigation.

There’s also a floating cutting deck and a PreciEdge cutting module that delivers precision trimming of borders. Owners can expect it to cut within 3 cm of lawn edges, which is impressive.

Pricing and availability

The Saros 20 Neo is set to be released in the UK starting from today, and can be purchased via Amazon UK as well as the Roborock UK store. It has an RRP of £999. However, UK consumers also can purchase the Saros 20 Neo for just £799 from the 7^th to the 20^th of September and by doing so will receive an additional 480ml of cleaning solution.

Ireland will get the Saros 20 Neo a little later, from October, with pricing details yet to be confirmed. Similarly, pricing for the Saros 20 Flow Complete, the Saros Rover, RockAqua P1 and other products will be confirmed later down the line.

T3’s Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E35 review in a sentence: A perfectly proportioned design and impressive performance delivers heaps of appeal for average homeowners.

When it comes to the best robot vacuums, the Eufy brand is right up there with the best of them. I recently reviewed the Eufy Omni S2, which was a beefy though costly machine that ticked all the right boxes. It had quite an imposing design though, which is why the recently tested Eufy Omni C28 caught my eye shortly after. It looked a little more low-key and a lot less bulky, which for anyone with space considerations in mind, makes a much more sensible purchase.

The Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E35 follows a similar theme on the aesthetics front, with a form that works well for me and a list of functions that are impressive too. Specification highlights include 35,000pa suction thanks to a supposedly exclusive multi-cyclone system that means the AeroTurbo setup maintains cleaning consistency for much longer. Maintenance and cleaning intervals are said to be less frequent too.

Elsewhere, there’s HydroJet mopping, which delivers 288mm wide roller cleaning and rinsing of said roller on the go. The mopping intensity sounded good too, with a 15N pressing force being applied across the roller compared to the more commonly found 8N on alternative models. Adding to the overall cleaning credentials is a side-facing laser, that combined with the wide roller, should deliver better results right up to the wall. Often a weak spot on some lesser machines. So, did it work as expected? Read on to find out…

Price and availability

The Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E35 has an RRP of $1099.99, but early bird pre-sale buyers will receive a discount, bringing the E35 to $899.99. Pre-sale is open now on Eufy's website.

For the UK, the RRP is £999, which makes the Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E35 a higher-end model, although it packs a very impressive set of features and functions that make the cost look justified.

Design and features

One of the best aspects of the Omni E35 is its size. Compared to some models I’ve reviewed, this one feels about right in the dimensions department, making it ideally suited to the hallway location I favour in my house. The overall design looks good too consisting in the main of black plastic, some of it matt and some of it shiny. All in, the robot and base station didn’t feel ridiculously heavy either, meaning it could be relocated without much fuss.

Inside the box, the Omni E35 comes with the robot vacuum unit and the Omni base station, that is home to the rear-mounted power connection plus on the top, to the right, clean and dirty water tanks as well as a dedicated cleaning solution compartment.

Also on the top, to the left side of the unit, a physical dust bag is hidden away under a lifting lid. There’s a container of floor cleaner included for good measure along with a power cable, quick start guide and a safety sheet. Unboxing and setting it up took me mere minutes and there wasn’t much to do. The detachable ramp that leads the robot vacuum into the docking station needed clicking in place and the tanks filled and that was about it.

The RoboVac unit itself is nicely designed; with essentially all of the usual features we’ve seen before. On the top of the unit, there’s a prominent LiDAR navigation component standing proud of the main body, while just in front is a power button and a recharge button. Along the front is the RGB camera, line laser sensors and an LED light.

Notably, square wall sensors can be found on each side of the RoboVac’s body. Around the back, where it docks with the base station, are the various ports that allow for water collection. Under the lift-off top, is the on-board dust bin.

On the underside, there are a collection of components that work in tandem to make the Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E35 deliciously potent. The carpet sensor quickly spots a change in floor surface, the DuoSpiral brushes come pre-fitted and the impressively proportioned roller mop makes for a top-level array of cleaning tools.

That mopping roller, in particular, was nicely designed to that it extends to the very end of the RoboVac body, which always helps when it comes to get in close to kitchen units and skirting boards. Overall, the feature set, design and build quality feels very premium.

Performance

I’ve always found Eufy software and its app design to be spot on, especially for its home security camera products. So, I was similarly impressed with the app for the Omni E35. At the time of writing, I was asked to use a beta setup, due to the pre-release nature of the product being tested.

However, once the Omni E35 is live, the app will be available for iOS 11 or later and Android 8.0 or later devices. Users will need a Wi-Fi router broadcasting a 2.4GHz signal and an account needs to be set up in order to add the device. And, thankfully, the Omni E35 is easy to add to the app and configure.

First up, following the initial startup procedure, is the mapping process. This followed the same theme I’ve encountered on other Eufy models and was relatively simple and straightforward. I quite like the way Eufy allows for easy map management, which is handy for merging floor layouts where your home has open plan sections. Other handy options include the ability to flag no-go zones, areas where carpet or rug sections might be and, crucially, configure the floor material settings.

Considering I use my robot vacuum on a ground floor that is predominantly open plan and covered with wood laminate, all of the app options allow precise management of what happens and when. I certainly couldn’t fault the vacuuming side of things, with more than enough suction on a hard floor to get rid of everyday dust, dirt and balls of fluff that seem to proliferate on hard floors. The robovac even managed quite well on rugs I thought, even though I’ve yet to find a model that really feels at home on thicker pile.

Best of all though, the Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E35 is a prime performer when it comes to mopping. The downward pressure exerted by this unit was impressive and it can easily tackle stubborn or sticky stains. The appeal is boosted by the continuous washing of the mop, which happens in transit. I got one or two water drops around the docking station, but overall, the Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E35 delivered excellent results. Plus, that wide roller really did get right up to the edge of skirting boards, which was a real bonus.

I particularly liked the way the Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E35 could have its component parts disassembled without hassle in order to maintain its efficiency. Even the small dust bin could be taken apart for more thorough cleaning and the same went for the rollers on the underside. These clicked in and out very easily, which meant I could clean them off and remove trapped long hairs in seconds. Again, the ease of use was very appealing.

Verdict

The Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E35 is perfect for the average home. It’s got more than enough muscle on both the vac and mop fronts and maintenance levels appear to be low. For example, the docking station bag and cleaning solution only need replacing every 30 to 60 days depending on use.

Meanwhile, the roller mop, high-performance filter and brushes should be good for between 3 and 6 months of use. Those clean and dirty water tanks (2.5 litres and 2.4 litres respectively) need monitoring but they’re of a good size so, overall, I’d say the Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E35 is a pretty fuss-free option.

The runtime, up to 188 minutes in quiet mode, is impressive too while charging is officially 4 to 5 hours, which is perfectly fine to me. Operating levels up to 84dB are also acceptable and the Omni E35 can also manage carpet clearance of 26mm. As a complete package, this bag of tricks is a very solid option.

Alternatives to consider

Anyone with a larger home who wants something a little more substantial should investigate the Dreame X50 Ultra Complete robot vacuum. Alongside the brawny Eufy Omni S2, larger robot vacs make a good option for similar money. However, the neat form factor of Eufy Omni C28 mentioned earlier is a good alternative to this model.

There is, of course, also the Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E25 as another option, which can probably be had for less money these days. We’ve found it at up to half the price of the Eufy Robot Vacuum Omni E35 with some simple searching online. It is also great at cleaning right up to the edges of skirting boards and kitchen units.

Dyson has unveiled an entirely new range of robot vacuums, combining its Neural Intelligence technology with its latest vision system. The lineup consists of three models – the R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV, R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry and R1 Nurovi Dry – each offering a different level of cleaning.

The news comes just two days after Dyson launched its long-awaited CameraJet toothbrush, taking the brand into an entirely new category. This latest launch brings the focus back to floorcare, but it's still a significant move, especially given Dyson's limited history with robot vacuums.

The Dyson R1 Nurovi Dry and R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry are available from today, priced at £499.99 and £749.99 respectively. The more advanced R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV will follow in early 2027, with pricing still to be confirmed.

The Dyson R3 Nurovi Spot+Scrub UV sits at the top of the range, featuring an AI-powered stain detection system that combines UV light, AI vision and green laser-like illumination to identify nearly 200 different household substances and objects. Once it spots a stain, the R3 can then repeatedly clean the area until it's gone.

A self-cleaning wet roller uses a 12-point hydration system to continuously apply fresh water heated to 70°C, helping tackle stubborn stains whilst cleaning the roller on every rotation. The full-width microfibre roller can also extend by 40mm to get closer to edges, whilst 30,000Pa of suction takes care of dry cleaning across hard floors and carpets.

The Dyson R2 Nurovi Wash+Dry takes a slightly different approach, swapping the circular mopping pads found on many robot vacuums for Reuleaux triangle-shaped pads. The pads are designed to maintain a constant width as they move, helping the robot reach further into corners and along edges where circular pads can struggle.

For vacuuming, there's a new Twin-capture system that separates fine and coarse debris. Bristles mechanically sweep larger debris into the robot, leaving the vacuum motor to focus its suction on finer dust and smaller particles.

There's also an acoustic piezo sensor that detects dust levels and different floor types in real time, automatically adjusting suction and cleaning behaviour as the robot moves around your home.

Finally, the Dyson R1 Nurovi Dry is the dedicated dry-cleaning model, designed for both carpets and hard floors. It uses the same Twin-capture technology as the R2, paired with 21,000Pa of suction. Dyson has also redesigned the side sweepers to better control the direction of dust and debris.

Those sweepers can extend towards walls and into corners for better coverage too, whilst the new design is intended to reduce hair wrapping and tangling around the bristles.

Dyson has also unveiled the W1 PencilWash, an upgraded version of the original PencilWash that launched earlier in 2026. We awarded the original model three stars in our full review, so it's good to see an upgraded version arrive so quickly.

The new W1 has a more absorbent roller, redesigned hygienic waste system and self-cleaning technology built into the dock, whilst retaining the slim design from before. The Dyson W1 PencilWash is also available from today for £299.99, which is around £90 cheaper then the original's current price.

Shark has finally launched its long-awaited PowerDetect Transformer vacuum cleaner in the UK. The 3-in-1 cleaning gadget has completely changed my mind about upright models, and it might even convince you to go back to this style of vacuum – here’s everything you need to know.

In true Shark style, the brand debuted the PowerDetect Transformer in the US in July 2026. Two months later, UK shoppers can now get their hands on the Shark PowerDetect Transformer and as someone who’s tried it (full review coming soon), I can confidently say it was well worth the wait.

The main attraction of the Shark PowerDetect Transformer is it has three vacuums in one device. As a full-size upright corded vacuum, the main bin can be removed for it to turn into a lightweight stick vacuum. From there, you can break it down even further into a handheld vacuum.

My main issue with upright vacuums is that they can be extremely bulky and heavy, but the Shark PowerDetect Transformer fixes that problem. I was recently invited to the SharkNinja offices to see it in action, and while it was a little on the heavier side in its upright form, it was easy enough to move around and lift.

Turning the Shark PowerDetect Transformer into a stick vacuum makes it significantly lighter. But my favourite part of the new 3-in-1 device was its bin – yes, really. The ‘front’ of the upright vacuum is a large bin that collects dirt and debris that it sucks up, but as a stick or handheld vacuum, it doesn’t have that main bin system.

Instead, the Shark PowerDetect Transformer has a smaller bin just below the handle of the vacuum, so it remains attached when in stick and handheld modes. It doesn’t have a huge capacity like the main bin but it contains a good amount of dirt.

When reattached to the main upright part of the Shark PowerDetect Transformer, the smaller bin automatically empties into the main dust cup, so you don’t have to empty two different bins. It’s not too loud when it does this either, and it goes through the emptying process twice to ensure it doesn’t leave anything behind.

Having tried the Shark PowerDetect Transformer myself at SharkNinja’s offices, I found putting the vacuum apart and together very easy and satisfying with the quick click. I used it to vacuum up cereal, sprinkles and other mess, and it performed exceptionally well on both carpet and hardwood floors.

Oftentimes, the Shark PowerDetect Transformer cleaned the entire mess with a single stroke. When I moved it backwards over dirt, it didn’t crush or smear the mess but picked it up in the reverse direction, too.

The Shark PowerDetect Transformer has many of Shark’s best features which as a Shark vacuum owner, I’m glad the new model didn’t get rid of them. It has Anti Hair Wrap technology to avoid tangling the brushroll, as well as reveal technology to illuminate hidden dirt with its LED light on the head.

The Shark PowerDetect Transformer also has updated, smarter features like detect technology which automatically responds to floor type, dirt levels and edges, as well as a HEPA filter for capturing allergens and preventing odor with its odour neutraliser technology.

As mentioned above, I’m currently testing the Shark PowerDetect Transformer and a full review will be out soon so stay tuned for that. But my overall first impressions when I got to try it at the SharkNinja offices was a positive one – and it might have convinced me to go back to an upright vacuum.

iRobot has officially launched the Roomba Max 875 Combo Robot + AutoWash Dock at IFA 2026, its most advanced robot vacuum and mop to date. The new flagship focuses on deeper carpet cleaning, tougher stain removal and keeping carpets dry whilst mopping, alongside a more maintenance-free docking system.

It comes with 35,000Pa of suction alongside iRobot's new SealForce Vacuuming Technology, which lowers a skirt around the chassis to create a tighter seal against carpet fibres and concentrate cleaning power where needed. It's an interesting approach when many of the best robot vacuum cleaners are chasing ever-higher suction figures, with iRobot instead focusing on how effectively that power reaches the floor.

The Roomba Max 875 Combo Robot + AutoWash Dock is available from today through iRobot's online store for £1,099/$1,199.

Mopping has been upgraded too, with ThermaMist Technology spraying heated mist to loosen dried-on stains before the PowerSpin Max Roller Mop scrubs them at 300rpm. PerfectEdge technology extends the mop towards walls, whilst LiDAR and PrecisionVision AI handle navigation and obstacle avoidance.

As mentioned, the AutoWash Dock takes care of most of the maintenance, washing the mop with 80°C water, drying it with heated air, dispensing cleaning solution and emptying the dustbin. iRobot also claims it can provide up to 90 days of hands-free maintenance.

Tapo has launched a new robot vacuum and mop that’s considerably more affordable than many of its recent releases, despite still promising plenty of cleaning power. The Tapo RV30 Max Plus Gen 2 is an upgraded replacement for the original RV30 Max Plus, which first launched in late 2024.

The RV30 Max Plus Gen 2 delivers 13,000Pa of suction power and retains Tapo’s Tangle-Free Cutting Brush, which picks up hair before automatically cutting and detangling it in the dock. If you’re short on space, the docking station is also relatively compact at around 11 x 9 inches, despite offering up to 90 days of hands-free maintenance.

The RV30 Max Plus Gen 2 is priced at £299.99 (around $400) and is currently available to buy from Amazon and Tapo’s own online store.

There are plenty of other useful features too, including improved edge-to-corner cleaning thanks to a longer side brush that reaches further along walls, around furniture and into corners. It can also automatically detect carpets and adjust its cleaning accordingly, or you can set your own cleaning preferences depending on the room and surface.

Navigation has also had an upgrade, with a new-generation dToF LiDAR system designed to move around obstacles with greater precision. It supports 3+1 multi-floor maps too, allowing it to recognise different floors and store maps locally to build up a more complete picture of your home.

If you've been thinking about upgrading your vacuum cleaner, Dyson has just made the decision a little more tempting. The brand has cut prices across a selection of its floorcare range, with savings on everything from some of its best cordless vacuums to its best robot vacuum options.

Dyson discounts don't always cover such a wide mix of models, so there are a few deals worth looking at depending on what you need. I've picked out the biggest savings below, along with how much you're actually saving on each one.

Shark has launched the AquaReach, its latest wet-to-dry vacuum cleaner and mop hybrid. Designed to clean from ‘floor to ceiling’, the Shark AquaReach comes with multiple tools, and features an extendable wand which fixes my main problem with wet-to-dry vacuums.

Wet-to-dry vacuums have been around for a while, but they had a resurgence in the past couple of years, thanks to Dyson. Most notably, the brand launched the Dyson V15s Detect Submarine in early 2024 which combined expert vacuum power with hard floor mopping by swapping out the roller heads.

Now, Shark has made its own version with the Shark AquaReach Vacuum Mop. The vacuum-mop cleans hardwood floors, tile, vinyl, stone, laminate and more, using its main brushroll head and suction. The brushroll even self-cleans as it vacuums and mops so you don’t spread dirt or spills around the floor.

My main problem with wet-to-dry vacuums is how heavy they can be. Of course, an electronic mop is undoubtedly going to be heavier than a standard mop, but it poses a problem when I clean my bathroom – aside from having to slog it up the stairs.

Call me lazy, but I’ve always found it easier to clean my shower tiles using a mop, but lifting an electric wet-to-dry vacuum is out of the question. There’s where the Shark AquaReach’s extendable wand comes in handy.

The wand detaches from the main body of the vacuum so you can use it to clean tiles, baseboards, and areas that are high up or in tight corners, so you can clean your home from top to bottom. As a wand, it still delivers a powerful suction as well as a precision spray for tough stains.

The Shark AquaReach has a dual-tank system that separates clean water and solution from dirty water. It comes with stain scrubber and detailer tools, as well as Shark’s Hydro Multi-Surface Concentrate that cleans tough stains and neutralises odours. For detecting stains, the Shark AquaReach has an LED light in the head to illuminate hidden dirt and debris.

Weighing just 12.81 pounds, the Shark AquaReach isn’t particularly heavy, and as a wand, it’s even lighter. It has a cordless design and comes with a dock that recharges it, and cleans and dries the brushroll. It has a bright blue colour, although there’s also a Shark AquaReach Pro version which comes with a mop pads kit and a stylish black and gold colourway.

The Shark AquaReach is available to buy for $399.99 at SharkNinja, while the Pro version is priced at $529.99. As of writing, it’s not yet available in the UK and Europe, but in true Shark style, its new products launch in the US first before arriving elsewhere, so we expect the same to happen with the Shark AquaReach.

Xiaomi could be preparing to launch its new Robot Vacuum 6 series internationally, with both the standard Robot Vacuum 6, Robot Vacuum 6 Pro and Robot Vacuum 6 Max now appearing on its global website. A number of the brand's best robot vacuums have stayed within China, so it's great to see wider availability taking place.

All three models can vacuum and mop, but it's Xiaomi's new active roller mop system that stands out, which is continuously cleaned as it moves. Xiaomi says this should result in an almost streak-free finish, particularly when tackling larger spills.

There's no official pricing or regional availability just yet, but with each model now listed globally, it looks like we shouldn't have too long to wait for more details.

The roller mop can also extend outwards to reach closer to edges and skirting boards, whilst separate side brushes sweep dry debris towards the main vacuum intake. If the robot moves onto short-pile carpet, the roller automatically lifts out of the way to avoid leaving it damp. Both the Robot Vacuum 6 and 6 Pro offer 30,000Pa of suction power, whilst the Max takes things up to 35,000Pa.

Xiaomi has also paired each model with a multifunctional base station that takes care of the maintenance. It automatically refills the robot with fresh water, washes the roller mop using hot water and then dries it with hot air afterwards.

The Robot Vacuum 6 Pro adds clever features including a retractable LiDAR navigation tower and triple-camera AI vision, but the Robot Vacuum 6 Max has a retractable dToF LiDAR that allows it to clean underneath spaces as low as 9.3cm. It also has bionic dual mechanical legs that allow it to climb over thresholds up to 6cm high, which could be particularly useful if you have raised doorways between rooms.

Watch out, Eufy – Narwal has just announced its most advanced robot vacuum cleaner and mop yet. Expanding its Freo series, the new Narwal Freo 20 is the first model from the brand to feature a ‘world’s first’ flattened roller mop which self-cleans using hot water mid cycle.

The launch of the Narwal Freo 20 marks many firsts for the brand, including it being the first Freo model to be equipped with Narwal’s FlowWash Mopping System. Rather than having to return to the dock for cleaning, the Narwal Freo 20 continuously washes its mop during a cycle to prevent water marks and cross-contamination.

Most robot vac-mops feature drag, sonic or dual-spinning pads to mop your floors. Where the Narwal Freo 20 differs is it uses a flattened roller or track mop which has a wider contact area to cover more ground as it cleans. As it cleans, the Narwal Freo 20 sprays 140°F of hot, fresh water through its 16 nozzles for an expert clean.

The mop of the Narwal Freo 20 automatically delivers 12N of downward pressure, and rotates in all directions to remove stubborn stains. It also has a built-in scraper and air pump which removes leftover dirt and separates it into another tank so it’s not spreading dirty water on your floors.

As a robot vacuum, the Narwal Freo 20 has 31,000 Pa suction power that’s ideal for all floor types, including carpets and hardwood floors. It also uses DualFlow Tangle-Free system to avoid blockages from human or pet hair, and its EdgeReach technology allows the robot to get into tight corners and right up to the edges of your floor.

For mapping, the Narwal Freo 20 has an incredible advanced camera and AI system which comes with multiple modes that cater to different detections. It uses dual RGB cameras and AI processing to identify over 300 objects, and manoeuver around them using TwinAI Doge technology.

For homes with pets and children, the Narwal Freo 20 has a Pet Care Mode which adjusts the robot to clean around places your pet sleeps or sits. The cameras offer video monitoring so the robot vacuum can double as a security camera so you can check on your pet while you’re away from home.

For children, the Narwal Freo 20 has a Baby Care Mode which allows it to recognise places with cribs and toys. When this happens, the robot vacuum switches to a quieter cleaning mode so it doesn’t disturb your child.

The Narwal Freo 20 comes with its all-in-one dock which has a new woven fabric design to blend into your home and furniture. While the Narwal Freo 20 cleans itself on the go, the dock also has a four-stage cleaning system which washes and dries the mop, and auto-empties the bin.

The Narwal Freo 20 is available via early access with the official launch expected on 20th August. Its full price is $1,099.99 but there’s a launch discount where you can get it for $899.99. As of writing, UK pricing and availability has yet to be announced.

If you're looking for one of the best robot vacuums, a five-star review is a good place to start. We don't hand out our top rating lightly, with only a select handful of models earning full marks in our testing over the past few months. In fact, if there's one thing our reviews have highlighted, it's just how consistently two brands – Roborock and Dreame – continue to raise the bar.

The promotion applies to several Hoover models, including the HL5 Anti-Hairwrap Upright, HL4 Anti-Hairwrap Upright, HL2 TurboStyle Upright and HL2 Pet TurboStyle Upright. Many of the vacuums are also discounted as part of the sale, and Hoover is offering free delivery too.

That said, the promotion is part of Hoover's payday sale and is due to end today. Simply add your chosen vacuum to your basket on the Hoover website, and you'll be prompted to select either the Home Cleaning Kit or Pet Grooming Kit for just £1.

If you don't need a new vacuum, both accessory kits are also on sale separately for £5.99 each, down from their usual £50 RRP, so they're still well worth considering.

The Pet Grooming Kit includes a grooming tool with two interchangeable heads – one with rubberised teeth for long-haired pets and a massage brush for short-haired breeds. It attaches directly to your vacuum's hose or wand, allowing loose fur to be collected as you groom.

Meanwhile, the Home Cleaning Kit includes an under-furniture wand and a multi-angle dusting brush. The brush locks into five different positions, making it easier to clean awkward spaces, whilst the extendable wand is designed to reach underneath furniture.

Dreame’s robot vacuums have consistently impressed me, so I was delighted when I had the opportunity to test out the latest flagship model, the Dreame X60 Pro Ultra, which is geared towards pet owners.

While the brand might not be as well known as the likes of Dyson or Shark, it does offer incredible value for money. The best robot vacuums are notoriously more expensive than their corded or cordless counterparts, but they also provide an almost hands-off experience, which in my opinion, is well worth paying for.

This is especially the case when you get something like the X60 Pro Ultra Complete vacuum, that not only performs fabulously as a robot but can also compete with the best cordless vacuums too. You'll find my full thoughts below.

Price and availbility

The Dreame X60 Pro Ultra Complete is priced at £1,300, although a current launch offer has knocked £150 off.

This includes a fully loaded accessories kit, which features an additional main and side brush, two dust box filters, two dust bags, three pairs of mop pads and a 1-litre bottle of cleaning solution. Enough extras on top of the pre-installed brushes and pads to keep you going for at least a year, if not longer depending on the size of your home.

Unboxing and setup

Easy unboxing and setup is something I really value as someone who spends a lot of their waking hours testing products. Thankfully, the X60 Pro Ultra Complete is one of the easiest machines I’ve ever set up. Not only was it surprisingly lightweight, despite the box itself being incredibly heavy, but it took just a few minutes to get started.

Most of the brushes come preinstalled, you just need to attach the mop pads manually and from there, it’s a case of downloading the app to connect to the WiFi and setting up a quick map of your home. This model talks you through everything as you go along and even gives you time estimates for how long certain tasks will take.

Adding water for mopping is quick and easy, and the X60 Pro Ultra Complete even has an automatic dispenser for the cleaning solution, so you don't have to think about mixing up ratios. At the end of its cycle, the robot will automatically empty its onboard bin into a larger bin in the base, which can store up to 100 days worth of dirt and dust.

Design and features

The Dreame X60 Pro Ultra Complete comes with quite a few notable design features, with the first being its incredible power. At 42,000pa, it has one of the most powerful advertised suction speeds available at the time of writing. It has also improved its downward mopping pressure compared to previous models, which adjusts based on your needs.

Vacuuming can be heavily customised based on your needs, with a particular emphasis on heavy stain detection and pet areas. Dreame’s new X60 range can now also recognise over 300 unique objects including litter trays, other cleaning appliances, socks, shoes and more.

The robot’s ‘Pet Area’ auto detection and cleaning is a godsend if, like me, you have a messy cat that enjoys tipping copious amounts of litter outside of the tray every time they use it. It will automatically note areas where there’s lots of pet activity – for example, litter trays – and mark these on the map. You can then either choose to avoid these areas completely or have the robot do a deeper clean around them.

LIke previous models, the X60 Pro Ultra uses two spinning mopping pads that clean with hot 40°C water and exert downward pressure to scrub away stains. As part of the X60’s upgrade, the base can now also clean the mopping pads with 100°C water and dry them with hot air for more hygienic cleaning.

The X60 Pro Ultra also has two extendable arms: one for mopping, with an 18in reach and one side brush, with a 12cm reach. This is the first time Dreame has included two extendable arms on its robots, and it's ideal if you have a home with a lot of hard to reach corners.

Those with awkward steps in their home will also be pleased to know that Dreame has improved climbing capabilities with the X60 Pro Ultra. This model can mount a single step up to 8.8cm tall, or cover two 5cm steps in succession, meaning that even homes with awkward thresholds can enjoy the benefits of a robot vacuum.

When it comes to design, the X60 Pro Ultra Complete is a surprisingly manageable size, especially given how much it does. The actual robot itself is just 8.9cm tall, meaning it will fit in most hard to reach areas, meanwhile the dock is 39cm x 45.6cm x 49.9cm. Like any robot with mopping, vacuum and self emptying capabilities it’s not small, but Dreame does a good job of keeping bulk to a minimum.

App

The Dreame home app is, for the most part, enjoyable to use. All of your cleaning, maintenance and scheduling tasks can be done from here and there’s a lot to play around with. While you do occasionally have to do some digging to find the settings you want, once you’ve got your head around where everything is, it’s a lot of fun customising your cleaning routine – I actually got a bit carried away and spent far too long changing around all the settings.

In-app customisation includes all the important bits you’d expect from a premium robot like this – such as multi level mapping, creating no-go zones, scheduling and power adjustments. However the X60 Pro Ultra goes one step further, allowing you to schedule at specific times, such as after dinner or during the night using a quiet mode.

There’s also a strong emphasis on pets here. Within the app, there’s a section dedicated to live viewing and two way sound, so you can speak to your furry friend. You even have the option to capture and store gifs of your pet on the app – I’m not kidding. Dreame also assures you that there’s no cloud stored data and the live view requires an activation code, so there's less of a worry about safety issues.

It’s worth noting that during testing, I did find the app to be a little cumbersome and slow at times. However, it didn’t happen enough for me to get frustrated or mean that I had to cancel my cleaning plans.

Performance

I was seriously impressed with Dreame’s performance across my hard floors and carpets. I have mostly hard floors at home, so robot vacuums have always been my go to, but the powerful suction really got to work on the carpet I do have, pulling up trapped dust and dirt that the cheaper robots I’ve previously used haven’t done.

I really put the X60 Pro Ultra to the test with copious amounts of litter, pet hair and human hair, none of which it really struggled with. Litter is notoriously difficult to pick up and while it did take a couple of passes to be fully cleared, I don’t think it’s a major issue, as it doesn’t add a great deal of extra time to the overall cleaning cycle. To test the mopping capabilities I also let some sauce dry on my kitchen floor and the X60 Pro Ultra made light work of this too, cleaning it in a single pass without leaving a smeary mess in its wake.

This model is also particularly good at recognising spots that need additional cleaning thanks to its upgraded lights and dual AI cameras. It’ll even tell you when it’s detected a particularly tough stain or high particle area and is doing an additional deep clean.

Verdict

The Dreame X60 Pro Ultra Complete might be a bit of a mouthful, but there’s very little else to complain about. It’s an incredibly capable robot vacuum, and you can tell a lot of thought has gone into the features and, more importantly, what consumers actually need. From its impressive pet detection to the dual-arm extension and upgraded mopping system, it feels like the complete package for a flagship robot vacuum.

Performance was fantastic throughout my testing, and I’d go as far as saying it does just as good a job as I do with a manual vacuum, albeit at a slightly slower pace. That’s pretty impressive for something that can get on with the job entirely by itself.

Of course, there’s no getting around the hefty price tag. While you get a lot of technology for your money, it’s still difficult to justify spending this much on a vacuum, particularly when Dreame has plenty of other capable models available for less. However, if you’re looking at the flagship end of the market, this is the sort of price you can expect to pay for genuinely advanced features and automation.

Alternative to consider

If your budget can’t quite stretch to the dizzying heights of £1,300, you might want to consider one of Dreame’s more affordable premium models, such as the recently released Dreame Matrix10 Pro. Priced at £849, this model follows on from the popular Dreame Matrix10, which we reviewed in 2025.

The Matrix10 Pro comes with hot mop cleaning, 30,000pa suction and, of course, self-emptying and self-cleaning. As it’s one of Dreame’s latest models, it also features dual extending arms, similar to the X60 Pro Ultra Complete. There's just a few compromises that mean the Matrix10 isn’t as quite as well rounded as the X60 and I’d personally still stretch for the X60 if you have a large home and pets.

Donald Trump has introduced a ban on the import of advanced robotic devices into the US, which includes many of today's best robot vacuum cleaners. The move forms part of the Trump administration's AI Action Plan, which aims to encourage more technology manufacturing within the United States.

Whilst the original announcement was fairly broad, the FCC has now published a document clarifying exactly what the ban covers. Under the new definition, robots that can move autonomously, are equipped with sensors, connect to a network and weigh more than 4.4lb (2kg), including any docking stations, can no longer be imported into the US.

That means the ruling applies to most robot vacuum and mop combinations, robot lawn mowers and even certain transport, pool-cleaning and industrial robots.

There is some good news for anyone who already owns one of these devices. Robots that have already received FCC certification can continue to be sold, and products that are already in homes will continue to work as normal. The ban only affects the import of future products that fall under the new rules.

Whilst it's impossible to know exactly which brands will be impacted, upcoming robot vacuums from the likes of Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Narwal and Xiaomi could be delayed in the US or miss out on a launch entirely if they don't receive the necessary approvals or exemptions.

It's also worth reiterating that this is US-specific legislation, so there's currently little reason for buyers in the UK or elsewhere to worry about similar restrictions. For now, the biggest impact is likely to be on the timing and availability of future robot vacuum releases in the American market.

Lidl is bringing a number of household cleaning products to its middle aisle this week, including a 2-in-1 vacuum from Beldray. It arrives in stores this Sunday and will cost just £29.99, making it a very tempting middle-aisle find.

Beldray is a reliable yet affordable household brand, with several of its models earning strong reviews. In fact, the Beldray Airfinity earned four stars in our full review last year and subsequently made our shortlist for the T3 Awards 2026.

The model arriving at Lidl features cyclonic technology and can quickly convert into a handheld vacuum, which isn't bad at all for a vacuum costing just £30. I've also had a look around, and the same model is priced at £39.99 at Robert Dyas and Amazon, so you're getting a lower price than normal too.

Now, I want to be clear that you shouldn't expect the same performance you'd get from one of the best vacuum cleaners. There are a few compromises here, including a relatively small 600ml dustbin and the fact it's corded. The build also looks a little on the cheaper side, which isn't exactly surprising given the price.

However, one thing that really stands out to me is its 600W power, which is impressive for any vacuum, let alone one that costs just £30. You also get a spare washable filter, as well as a crevice tool and brush tool for more versatile cleaning.

Again, don't expect this to deliver the same experience as a premium vacuum. However, coming from someone who spends a lot of time reviewing vacuum cleaners, I think this is worth a trip to your nearest Lidl if you're after an affordable everyday cleaner.

Roborock has launched the Qrevo 2 Pro in the UK, combining powerful cleaning, smarter automation and a redesigned dock that's designed to reduce the amount of hands-on maintenance. It joins Roborock's wider Qrevo range, which already includes the recently reviewed Qrevo S Pro.

The Qrevo 2 Pro comes with 25,000Pa HyperForce suction, a Dual Anti-Tangle System, smarter carpet care and improved corner and edge cleaning. The redesigned multifunctional dock can also store up to 65 days' worth of dust, meaning you won't need to empty it anywhere near as often.

The Qrevo 2 Pro is currently available for £529.99, reduced from £649, giving you £120 off when buying through Roborock's online store or Amazon. However, the offer is only available until 9th August, so you'll need to be quick if you're tempted.

One of the standout features is Auto Mop Removal, which sees the robot automatically detach its mop before heading onto carpets and then reattach it afterwards. This means your carpets can stay dry whilst the robot continues cleaning across different floor types.

Roborock has also improved its corner and edge cleaning, allowing the Qrevo 2 Pro to cover up to 30% more corner area, whilst its FlexiArm Edge Mopping system extends the mop to clean as close as 1.85mm along edges.

The multifunctional dock now features an upgraded one-piece tray alongside a new Soaking Mode that's designed to wash the mops more thoroughly. Once cleaning is complete, 75°C high-temperature mop washing helps tackle dirt and reduce odours, whilst 45°C warm-air drying helps keep the mops fresh and the dock more hygienic between cleans.

When you spend all day comparing robot vacuums with ridiculous suction power, more AI features than you can count and endless app settings, it's actually quite refreshing when something like the iRobot Roomba Mini comes along.

Launched in March as one of the smallest robot vacuums the world has seen, the Roomba Mini still has plenty of the features you'd expect from some of the best robot vacuum cleaners around.

Naturally, I couldn't wait to put it to the test and find out whether this half-size robot could still deliver a full-size clean.

Price and availability

The Roomba Mini is available in the UK and Europe for £379 and €399, respectively, and comes in four colours – black, white, pink and mint green. It's currently not available to buy in the US.

Design and features

The Roomba Mini is iRobot's smallest Roomba robot yet, measuring just 24.5 x 24.5 x 9.2cm and weighing around 2kg. iRobot claims it offers 2 x more cleaning coverage in tight spaces, whilst the robot itself is around half the size of a full-sized Roomba.

Despite its compact size, the Roomba Mini features what iRobot describes as 70x more Power-Lifting Suction, alongside a single-action brush designed to pick up everyday dirt, dust and crumbs. It can also vacuum and mop, with the mopping function activated by attaching a disposable mop pad.

The box comes with 30 disposable mopping pads, giving you a fresh pad for each clean. You can also replace these with compatible third-party disposable wipes if you don't want to stick with iRobot's own pads.

Navigation is handled by ClearView LiDAR, which can map your home in under 10 minutes and helps the Mini navigate around furniture and obstacles. It also features Carpet Detect, which automatically avoids rugs and carpets when mopping.

You can schedule and customise cleaning through the Roomba Home app, use voice assistants or simply press the button on the robot to start a clean. It can even begin cleaning without a Wi-Fi connection.

The AutoEmpty Dock automatically empties the robot into an AllergenLock bag, which can hold up to three months' worth of dirt. The dock itself measures 21.2 x 17.8 x 28.5cm and takes up 33% less floor space than standard robot vacuum docks, making the whole setup particularly well suited to smaller homes.

Performance

The Roomba Mini is a fun addition to the robot vacuum market, and it certainly holds its own when it comes to features. I found the suction to be absolutely fine, particularly on hard floors, and it's great that mopping is included, even if it's via a simple mop pad.

I also really like that features you'd normally expect to find on a much larger model, such as the AutoEmpty Dock, Carpet Detect and ClearView LiDAR, are all included here. It helps the Roomba Mini feel like a properly developed robot vacuum rather than a rudimentary version.

When I first started testing, I was also impressed by how quickly it mapped my home and got to work. It scanned the rooms efficiently, and the map appeared in the app within seconds. I've used the iRobot app before and have always found it straightforward to navigate, so it was nice to have that familiar experience here. The Mini's compact size is another major advantage, and I can see it being a particularly good fit for anyone living in a smaller home or flat who doesn't have the space or need for a huge robot vacuum.

I also enjoyed integrating the Roomba Mini with Alexa, as it meant I could control the robot using voice commands, whilst the iRobot app made it easy to create cleaning schedules and manage its settings.

However, after six weeks of testing, I couldn't quite shake the feeling that the Roomba Mini is a little gimmicky in some areas. The suction is perfectly adequate on hard floors, but it isn't particularly impressive on carpet, where I found it struggled more with picking up debris. The mop pad is also fine for dealing with crumbs, but I often found that stains were left behind after multiple passes. It's certainly better than having no mopping function at all, but I wouldn't rely on it for a particularly thorough clean.

I also ran into some frustrating connectivity issues during my testing. The Roomba Mini disconnected from the app several times without any obvious reason, despite the robot remaining plugged in. Each time, I had to remove the vacuum from the app and reconnect it, which unfortunately meant losing my saved map and cleaning schedule. I then had to set everything up again from scratch. This happened three times over the six-week testing period, and it was easily the most frustrating part of using the Roomba Mini.

Verdict

The Roomba Mini is a likeable little robot vacuum that has an impressive number of features within its compact design. It's particularly well suited to smaller homes, but the weak carpet cleaning, basic mopping and frustrating connectivity issues mean it doesn't feel like the complete package. If you mainly have hard floors and want a small robot vacuum that can handle the basics, there's a lot to like here, but I'd be hesitant to recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful all-round cleaner.

Alternatives to consider

The obvious alternative to consider is the SwitchBot Mini K10+, which is very similar in size. Both models use LiDAR mapping and offer mopping via disposable pads, but main difference is suction power. The Roomba Mini offers significantly more than the SwitchBot, which could make it the better choice.

If you don't mind having a larger robot and want to stick to a similar budget, the Roomba Max 705 is another model worth considering. It's currently half price at £279 and offers many of the same features as the Roomba Mini, but adds anti-tangle Dual Rubber Brushes, an Edge-Sweeping Brush and 180x more Power-Lifting Suction.

Another day, another Eufy robot vacuum review. I've had the pleasure of testing several of the brand's models throughout 2026, and it's safe to say Eufy is currently up there with the very best when it comes to robot vacuum cleaners.

My latest test subject is the Eufy Omni C28, which launched earlier this year as a more affordable option in the brand's lineup. After spending time with flagship models like the E25 and E28, I was keen to see what corners, if any, had been cut to reach the lower price.

The Eufy Omni C28 has an RRP of £649/$799.99, although it's currently discounted by £100 in the UK and $300 in the US via Eufy's online store. Take a look below:

Unboxing and set up

Setting the C28 up couldn't have been easier. Like most modern robot vacuums, it guides you through everything in the app before heading off to map your home.

I was impressed by how quickly it produced a detailed floor plan, although it wasn't perfect on the first run. That said, the more cleaning cycles it completes, the more accurate its maps become as it learns your home's layout. I'd say mine was around 85% accurate initially, but after a few runs it had refined the map considerably.

Design and features

The Eufy Omni C28 closely follows the look of the brand's recent robot vacuums, featuring a slim, circular body measuring just 10cm tall, allowing it to slip underneath low furniture with ease. On top sits a LiDAR navigation turret, helping to spot obstacles whilst cleaning.

The accompanying Omni station automatically charges the robot, empties the onboard dustbin, washes the roller mop with clean water and dries it afterwards to help prevent unpleasant smells and bacteria. It also houses separate clean and dirty water tanks, and interestingly, the dirty water tank is actually larger than the one found on the more expensive E25.

When it comes to cleaning, the C28 offers 15,000Pa of suction, which is slightly lower than some premium rivals but still more than enough for everyday use. Instead of using dual spinning mop pads, it features Eufy's HydroJet Self-Cleaning Roller Mop, which constantly washes itself whilst cleaning and applies 1kg of downward pressure to scrub hard floors. I actually preferred this design, as it left noticeably fewer streaks than some robot vacuums I've tested with traditional mop pads.

The DuoSpiral detangling brushes also deserve a mention, which are designed to prevent hair from wrapping around the roller. This makes the C28 a great option if you have pets or anyone with long hair at home.

Navigation is powered by LDS and Laser Line technology, whilst the Eufy Clean app allows you to create multiple maps, customise room-by-room cleaning, set no-go zones and adjust both suction and mopping intensity.

Performance

In day-to-day use, I found the C28 navigated around furniture and changing room layouts very confidently. As mentioned, every time it completed a clean, it seemed to improve its map and cleaning routes as it went along.

I will say it isn't quite as impressive as some of Eufy's more expensive models. Without an RGB camera, its object recognition isn't as refined, so it occasionally needed a little more space around smaller obstacles. That said, I still thought it performed very well overall.

Cleaning performance was another pleasant surprise, and although the suction isn't as powerful as the E25 or E28, it had no trouble picking up pet hair, crumbs and everyday dirt from both hard floors and carpets. If your home has particularly thick carpets or you want the deepest clean possible, I'd still recommend spending a little more on one of Eufy's flagship models. However, for daily cleaning, especially in small to medium-sized homes, the C28 does an excellent job.

That said, I did have a couple of complaints, and the biggest was the noise from the docking station when it empties the dustbin and cleans the mop. The robot itself is fairly quiet, but the dock is significantly louder than the E25's. The first time it ran, I actually thought something had gone wrong because of how noisy it was.

There's also the usual maintenance to keep on top of, although the app does a great job of reminding you when it's time to clean the sensors or empty the tanks.

My only real disappointment was that Eufy doesn't include any floor cleaning solution (£19.99/$20.99) with the C28. It's included with the E28, so it feels like an odd omission here, especially considering you're still spending several hundred pounds. Eufy also recommends only using its own cleaning solution, so it's another small expense to factor in.

Verdict

The Eufy Omni C28 lacks some of the premium features found on Eufy's flagship models, but its combination of dependable cleaning performance, streak-free roller mopping and intuitive app make it one of the strongest value options in the mid-range market. It's particularly well suited to small and medium-sized homes where everyday maintenance matters more than chasing the highest specifications.

Alternatives to consider

If your budget can stretch a little further, I'd recommend looking at the Eufy E28, which offers stronger suction and a few extra premium features.

If you'd prefer something outside the Eufy lineup, the Dreame X50 Ultra Complete is another excellent alternative. With far stronger suction and one of the most advanced docking stations available, it's a fantastic performer.

iRobot has officially entered a new product category with the launch of the Roomba Electro Plus. It arrives as a cordless, self-propelled hard floor cleaner that combines vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting, self-cleaning and self-drying into a single machine.

After announcing its bankruptcy before re-emerging as a privately held company, iRobot is clearly looking to strengthen its position in the market. Expanding beyond the best robot vacuums feels like a natural next step, and the Roomba Electro Plus could be the first of many new product categories for the brand.

The Roomba Electro Plus is available to pre-order now from iRobot's online store for $399.99, with first-time customers able to save 10% by signing up to the brand's email newsletter. There's no word yet on a UK or European launch.

One of the standout features is its electrolysed water technology, a feature that's starting to appear in more home appliances, including Xiaomi's recently announced smart washing machine. The system transforms ordinary tap water into a cleaning solution capable of eliminating 99.99% of household bacteria, viruses and fungi.

Interestingly, the Electro Plus launches alongside a brand new generation of Roomba robot vacuums, priced between $600 and $1,000. This shows the company is still committed to its core business whilst recognising that broadening its product lineup is key to staying competitive.

Tapo has quietly listed the RV50 Omni on its website as a more affordable alternative to the flagship RV50 Pro Omni, which launched earlier this year. Both models look almost identical and share many of the same standout features, including Tapo's anti-tangle brush system that automatically cuts and clears wrapped hair as it cleans.

The RV50 Pro Omni earned four stars in our review, although we found its 15,000Pa suction slightly underwhelming compared to some rivals. The new RV50 Omni features 12,000Pa of suction, making a small compromise on power in exchange for a lower price.

Both robot vacuums are now listed on Tapo's online store, with the new RV50 Omni expected to launch on 30th July.

In terms of pricing, the RV50 Pro Omni originally launched at a hefty £749.99, but it wasn't long before discounts brought it down to around £400. The new RV50 Omni has an RRP of £499.99, but it's launching with an introductory offer of £319.99, so even the two models' pricing is very similar.

Looking more closely, both use the same chassis, self-cleaning dock, LiDAR navigation and many of Tapo's cleaning technologies. The biggest omission on the RV50 Omni is DeepEdge Adaptive Mopping, which allows one of the mop pads on the Pro model to extend outwards and clean right up against skirting boards and into corners.

That said, the standard RV50 Omni still looks like excellent value. If you don't mind sacrificing the extending mop pad and a little extra suction power, you're getting a robot vacuum that delivers most of the flagship experience for significantly less.

On the other hand, if the price gap between the two models narrows during future sales, I'd be tempted to spend the extra and opt for the Pro. It really comes down to which features matter most to you.

I'm usually the first person to tell you not to spend more than you need to. There are hundreds of products out there where cheaper alternatives are just as good – the Dyson Airwrap is a perfect example, and I've tested countless cordless lawn mowers that have outperformed rivals costing twice as much.

The best robot vacuum cleaners, though? That's where I draw the line.

After testing more robot vacuums than I can remember, I've come to the conclusion that this is one category where you really do get what you pay for. That doesn't mean you need to spend thousands on the latest flagship model, but I'd always recommend stretching your budget if you can.

The biggest giveaway of a cheap robot vacuum isn't actually the suction power – it's the navigation.

A robot vacuum is supposed to clean your home without you thinking about it, so if it can't work out where it's going, it completely defeats the point. I've tested budget models that spend half their time bouncing off furniture, cleaning the same patch of floor three times and somehow still missing an entire corner of the room.

Manufacturers love throwing around terms like LiDAR and AI nowadays, but not all systems are created equal. A premium robot uses those technologies properly, creating an accurate map of your home, recognising obstacles and cleaning in logical rows. A cheaper model might tick the same boxes on paper, but the experience can be worlds apart.

That said, suction power is still important, especially if you want a robot vacuum that lasts. I hear about so many people that buy a certain model because it's £200 cheaper than the competition, only to find it struggles to pick up pet hair or clean carpets properly six months later.

Personally, I wouldn't even look at a model with less than around 20,000Pa these days. Suction naturally drops as components wear over time, so it makes sense to start with something that's got plenty in reserve. That said, don't get distracted by massive numbers either. A robot claiming 40,000Pa isn't automatically better if its mapping is poor or it gets tangled in charging cables every other day.

At the end of the day, a robot vacuum isn't just another appliance – it's supposed to remove a chore from your life entirely. If you're going to spend money on something that's designed to save you time every single day, I strongly recommend spending a bit more and buy one that does exactly that.

Shark has expanded its PowerDetect line-up with the PowerDetect Transformer, and it’s a real triple threat. The new 3-in-1 vacuum cleaner is the brand’s most versatile model yet, turning into upright, stick and handheld models with a simple click.

I’ve tested many vacuums during my time as T3’s Home Editor, including types like upright, cordless, stick and handheld. I always come across one major problem which is that switching a vacuum cleaner into a handheld one is fiddly and requires far too many accessories.

But the Shark PowerDetect Transformer seems to have solved that problem, and made it far easier to switch vacuum cleaner types and modes. As a 3-in-1 device, the Shark PowerDetect Transformer starts as an upright vacuum with a removable canister and bin that you can detach with a click. From there, it turns into a stick vacuum which can easily fold down to get underneath furniture.

But that’s not all. The Shark PowerDetect Transformer turns into a handheld vacuum by simply removing the main wand, so you can use it to clean your stairs and inside your car. It comes with a crevice tool accessory for handheld use, which is much simpler and more streamlined than other handheld vacuums which usually come with too many accessories.

The main benefit from this clever design – other than getting three cleaning types in one – is that each mode has its own use. As an upright vacuum, the Shark PowerDetect Transformer has a stronger suction which makes it better suited for cleaning carpets. As a stick vacuum, the Shark PowerDetect Transformer is slimmer and more lightweight, so it’s easier to get into hard-to-reach areas and for you to carry around.

When removing the main bin from the upright vacuum, the Shark PowerDetect Transformer uses a smaller dust bin when in stick and handheld mode which is located near the handle. Once you assemble it into upright mode, the smaller bin automatically empties into the main bin so you only have to empty one bin.

With HEPA filtration and anti-allergen seal technology, the bin traps dirt, allergens and dust, and prevents odours.

Within the main head is a dual brushroll system which picks up dirt, dust and other debris. It uses Shark’s Anti Hair Wrap technology to stop hair from getting stuck in the brushhead, and Reveal and Detect technologies to illuminate hidden mess and respond to different floor types and dirt levels.

I jumped at the chance to review the Roborock Qrevo S Pro. Why? Because it is a robot vacuum and mop and the thought of something else cleaning the floors was a huge relief.

The reality was no different. I’ve been releasing the Roborock Qrevo S Pro on a daily roam around the ground floor of my home, to vacuum the carpets and rugs and mop the hard wooden floors. It has been two weeks and so far, so good.

I’ve challenged it with deliberately dropped dried cereals and the daily debris bought in by a young family. It certainly had its work cut out for it. Keep reading to see if it’s the best robot vacuum cleaner for your household, or if you’re going to stick with the best cordless vacuum after all.

Price and availability

The Roborock Qrevo S Pro is available to buy for a cool £549.49, either direct from the brand or a go-to favorite reseller, Amazon.

While it was only just launched at the end of April 2026, this robot vacuum and mop combo regularly takes a discount. For example, right now it’s discounted by 15% which takes the price you pay down to £479.99.

Regardless of where you buy it from, Roborock or Amazon, you’ll get free delivery and free returns. This alone will save a small fortune because I would consider it a “bulky” item to ship.

Unboxing and set up

The Roborock Qrevo S Pro is one of the easiest smart devices I have ever tested. It’s a bold claim, I know, but in fewer than five minutes I had all the hardware to this robot and mop combo set up and connected to the Roborock app on my phone.

This was helped by the Quick Start Guide which is included in the package contents. On this sheet of A3 laminated card were printed five steps to installation and four steps to connect to the app. Also included were mop cloth mounts, a user manual, the robot itself, a power cord and the dock.

I located my Qrevo S Pro, aka “Richard”, in our hallway backed against the wall. This is a hard, wood floor situated between the lounge at the front of the house and the kitchen/diner to the rear. It’s recommended that the dock is positioned on a hard, flat floor and flat against the wall, with a minimum radius of 0.4m wide and 1.2m depth of non-obstructive space around it.

With the dock base attached to the main dock (it's removable for easier cleaning), power cord connected to the back of the dock, water tank filled up and the mop cloth mounted, all that’s left to do is download the app and follow the on-screen instructions.

The maiden voyage of the Qrevo S Pro will be to map the floor space that you want cleaned. If there are any rooms that you don’t want cleaned for whatever reason then just shut the door; our “Richard” soon got the hint.

Design and features

On paper, the Roborock Qrevo S Pro is packed full of features; precise mapping and obstacle avoidance, 18,500Pa suction and anti-tangle system, dual liftable spinning mops, 65-days without dustbag emptying, 45°C high temperature cleaning and 75°C warm air self drying.

The reality is no different.

It maps the space/s you want cleaned on the maiden voyage. It took our “Richard” a couple of attempts because a door to a room was shut during the mapping process and a few too many dining chairs (each with four legs) caused a bit too much of an obstacle course to navigate.

While the map doesn’t appear to update after each clean, certainly each cleaning course is different when “Richard” is working its way across the floors. With two young children in the house, there are always toys around – and the toy storage moves with it. This means that no two cleaning routes are the same, but “Richard” takes this in its stride and just cleans what it can get to by dodging any obstacles.

I have to admit that I don’t have a way to measure the suction being promised. However, I can hear that the suction is adjusted as “Richard” transitions between the carpets, rugs and hard flooring. I also can not see any hairs in a tangle on the roller bar or side brush.

It does also feature two mops that rotate when cleaning, and lift while vacuuming. It does look as though these mops are dragged across the carpet and rugs, but I haven’t noticed any dampness on its route to report.

After two weeks of testing “Richard” at least once-a-day I can see that both mop pads look (and smell) clean. I can not see any obvious staining and I’m satisfied that they will continue to clean the floor, rather than make it dirty again.

These two mop pads are positioned on the underside of the Roborock Qrevo S Pro, alongside the all-rubber main brush which, as we’ve explored, doesn’t get into a tangle with hair.

This main brush is nestled between two wheels with an enhanced omni-wheel featuring a built-in brush that aims to reduce maintenance. Furthermore, a side brush on the top left of the robot & mop combo will sweep crumbs and debris into the path of the main brush for banishing to the dustbag.

Flip over to the otherside and there are two buttons – “Home” and “Stop”. Both are self explanatory but "Stop” will ultimately pause the Qrevo S Pro mid-task and “Home” will send it back to base. Above these two buttons is a crumb catcher that can be accessed by lifting up the top cover. There's also the all-important Precisense LiDAR-based navigation system in a dome-like cap which will scan the space when creating a map.

Then, at either end of the vacuum & mop combo are structured light sensors that detect and steer away toys, socks and furniture – steer through, as I’ve found. Though I wouldn’t recommend it for fear of losing anything, it can be said that you may be able to get away from tidying before setting off the Qrevo S Pro.

Measuring h3.8 x w13.8in, the robot vacuum and mop will easily slip under most furniture and cupboards to clean those floors that don’t often see the light of day. It weighs just 0.7lbs also so it’s easy to lift should you need to move it or look underneath it for anything that may become lodged (like a sock).

The dock on the other hand measures h20.4 x w19.2 x d13.4in. This is where the Qrevo S Pro will empty, clean and recharge itself. It has a 4-litre clean water tank which can be easily lifted and removed for refilling. Similarly, the dirty water tank has the same capacity and ease of removal.

A dustbag is located at the front of the dock behind a cover. I’ve been testing our Qrevo S Pro, “Richard” for at least two weeks, and I’ve yet to replace the disposable dust bag (it’s estimated that it’ll need replacing every 65 days). This dust bag is pre-installed upon arrival.

App

To control the Roborock Qrevo S Pro I could either use the two buttons on top of the vacuum, or the app. The Roborock app has a greater amount of customisation and control so I used it to activate most cleans, unless it was a scheduled clean – something else that you can do in the app.

Once the map had been established, and I was satisfied that it had accurately sussed out the space, I could select a preferred cleaning mode for each room depending on the floor type. I could also select the room I wanted to clean if I didn’t want “Richard” to clean our entire ground floor, and set routines for more personalised cleaning sequences.

The map also updates after every clean, like it was learning the space. After a week of test, it also identified a threshold without any prompt from me and added this to the map.

At any point during a clean I could also “Pause” the clean or “Return to Base” through the app. If I wanted to hand over the control over to another human in the house then I could also share the device with them although, of course, anyone can just press a button on vacuum to start a clean.

I also found it helpful to receive notifications when the water tank needed to be refilled, or when a sock had become lodged. You can, of course, disable these notifications if you want to tone down your phone's activity. Alternatively, the Qrevo S Pro can connect with Matter, Alexa, Google Home and Apple Siri for hands-free control.

Performance

I’ve been using the Roborock Qrevo S Pro at least once per day for two weeks to vacuum the carpets and mop the hard floors, and I wouldn’t be without it.

It effortlessly removes the majority of debris from the floors which has ultimately saved me the time it takes to clean and saved on the effort of reaching for the vacuum cleaner and mop. Our “Richard” sensed the difference in flooring as it moved between carpets and hard flooring, adjusting the suction accordingly and lifting / dropping the spinning mops.

As it worked its way around the mapped floor space and there was a person or item in its path, "Richard" navigated around the obstruction and continued to clean the remainder of the space. It then returned to where the obstruction was to finish the clean before returning to base.

However, it was totally hopeless at banishing larger dried cereal to the dustbin; multigrain hoops were swept around in circles or swept away from the path of the roller. Similarly, it doesn’t scrub the floor, only lightly wets it, so wet wheat biscuits remain cemented on the floor (until I can scrub it off).

There were also a couple of instances that the robot dragged a small toy along the floor, so make sure to lift anything off the floor that you don’t want dragged, or banished into the dustbin. I also found that socks can become lodged in the roller so try to ensure that these are picked up before a clean too.

It's one of the more bulkier robot vacuum and mops that I have tested also, so it's a bit cumbersome when manouvering around furniture and seems to miss some of the floor area in the process. It's size also means that it can't always get down the sides of the sofa or, in my case, behind the hair chair in the kitchen which is next to the table unless I move it to be somewhere else in the way.

While it does remove the majority of debris from the floors, which is great, it does miss some. This seems to either be because the debris is on a textured rug so the 18,500Pa suction isn’t great enough, or the zig-zag cleaning pattern simply misses it.

The noise is also worth mentioning. I used a decibel meter reader app on my phone which measured; 70dB while emptying, 64dB while vacuuming, 52dB while mopping and 48dB while returning to base. It was quiet enough not to disturb us while vacuuming or mopping, but emptying was so loud that it temporarily drowned out the TV.

Maintenance

The Roborock Qrevo S Pro self-cleans so there is very little maintenance, although it will need a few things from you to keep in a working order.

For example, the water tank will need refilling every few days so it can keep mopping, and the dirty tank will require emptying every few days. You’ll know when to do this by the red light shown on the docking station, or a notification to your phone.

The dust bag will also need replacing every 65 days. These can be bought either direct from Roborock or Amazon for £31.99 (pack of 6). Speaking of dust, the dock and vacuum would also benefit from dust-down – especially, if like “Richard”, yours is in black.

Verdict

If you don’t have a robotic robot and mop, and you have a variety of floor types, then the Roborock Qrevo S Pro should be at the top of your wishlist. It is a mid-range price tag but a high-end device that’ll sweep away most daily debris, so it’s a bit of a steal in my eyes.

I’ve tested several robotic vacuums in the past which have carried a much higher price tag. This may be because technology is much more advanced or production costs have reduced but, even so, for £599 (when not on sale) it’ll save you the time and hassle of cleaning the floors at the end of each day – especially if you have children.

If you only have a robot vacuum cleaner or a robot mop, this would also be a good upgrade because it is suitable for all floor types; carpets, rugs, tiled, sealed wood and stone.

Alternatives to consider

If you have your heart set on a robot vacuum and mop but are after a greater suction power, like double that of the Roborock, then the Dreame Matrix10 Ultra is our top choice. If £1,399/€1,399/$1,799 for the Dreame is way off your budget, then let it be known that the SwitchBot Mini Robot Vacuum K10+ Pro is T3’s best affordable robot vacuum cleaner. It costs the same as the Roborock Qrevo S Pro but it’s smaller, measuring 24.8cm x 24.8cm x 9.2cm.

Amazon Prime Day 2026 is on the horizon, but if you want my advice, you should shop for deals the week before, as this is often when you find the biggest discounts.

Case in point – the Eufy Omni E25 robot vacuum cleaner which we said had “strong suction, smart mopping and minimal effort” is now the cheapest it’s ever been in this early Prime Day deal.

Originally priced at £849, the Eufy Omni E25 is now £569, saving you £280 on this premium robot vacuum and mop. We gave this model four stars in our Eufy Omni E25 robot vacuum cleaner review, and stated that it “combines a strong cleaning performance with useful automation”.

When we tested the Eufy Omni E25, we found it worked best on hardwood floors as its mopping technology is exemplary. It features a rolling mop and HydroJet system so as it spins, rinses and applies pressure to your floors for cleaning it also cleans the mop as it goes so you’re not spreading dirt around.

When not in action, the Eufy Omni E25’s mop roll lifts to avoid carpeted floors or rugs. With 20,000 Pa power, the Eufy Omni E25 has a powerful suction that removes hair, dirt and dust, and its DuoSpiral Brushes reduces hair tangling and clogs.

Our favourite feature of the Eufy Omni E25 is its CornerRover arm, which allows the vacuum to get close to your walls and corners to clean them effectively. When it’s done cleaning, the Eufy Omni E25 returns to its docking station where it washes and dries the mop pads, empties the dustbin and refills the water tank – you shouldn’t have to empty or replace anything for at least 75 days.

In terms of navigation, the Eufy Omni E25 uses LiDAR and RGB cameras that accurately map your home. It can also recognise obstacles in its path and actively avoids them. It’s one of our favourite robot vacuum cleaners, and now at Amazon, the Eufy Omni E25 is at its lowest ever price so it’s a no-brainer.

So you’re considering a robot vacuum, and you’ve got a healthy budget. Well, Ecovacs has one it hopes challenges the best robot vacuum cleaners around. Say hello to the Deebot X12 OmniCyclone.

The X12 OmniCyclone is Ecovac’s latest flagship robot vacuum, sitting atop the firm’s extensive range of clever floor cleaners and boasting new technology to help justify its premium price tag. With standout premium models like the Dreame Matrix10 Ultra and Roborock Saros 20 already on the market, I expected seamless setup, mapping, cleaning and maintenance from the X12 – if it wants to mount a worthwhile challenge.

So, does its new FocusJet technology, along with its Ozmo Roller 3.0, Zero Tangle 4.0 and docking station features live up to the billing? I’ve put the Deebot X12 OmniCyclone through its paces to find out.

Price and availability

The Ecovacs Deebot X12 OmniCyclone price is £1,249/$1,499, placing it firmly in between its key competitors. The Dreame Matrix10 Ultra is slightly more expensive, while the Roborock is a touch cheaper.

That price includes the robot vacuum, docking station, and cleaning solution for the mop function. You can currently buy the X12 from Amazon.

Unboxing and set up

The Deebot X12 OmniCyclone arrives well packaged, although the station is packed with more plastic and polystyrene than I’d like to see for a product in 2026. The robot itself is packed in its own box within the larger package, and it features solely cardboard packing protection.

As well as the X12 robot and Omni station, you also get a base ramp that simply, but securely clips to the front of the front of the station, along with a bottle of cleaning solution, a bottle of heavy-duty cleaning solution, power cord and manual.

There’s also a couple of corner guards to help soften a couple of sharp corners on the front of the docking station. I was able to position the station in my laundry room, away from walkways, and with no small children to worry about, I didn’t see the need to stick these on. However, if you do have young children, or there’s a chance you might accidentally catch the docking station as you walk past, the inclusion of these rubber bumpers is a nice touch.

One thing to note is there’s a lot of protective film on both the OmniCyclone station and the robot itself, so take time to peel these all off, checking you’ve removed every piece.

A useful one-sheet quick start guide is included, giving you clear visual and written instructions on how to get the base setup, easily add water and cleaning solution to the correct reservoirs, download the app, and get the X12 connected to your Wi-Fi.

You’ll need to place the OmniCyclone station close to a power outlet, as the power cord is only a meter and a half long.

The free app on your smartphone provides step-by-step setup instructions, and is complimented by audible voice guidance from the X12 robot vacuum, keeping you updated every step of the way. It’s all very straightforward, and I applaud Ecovacs for that.

You can give your robot vacuum a name. I called my review unit Vinnie, allowing me to use this name with voice commands to send Vinnie out on a clean, or check things such as battery level.

Before I could get going the app notified me of an available firmware update. I had to place Vinnie in the docking station, ensuring the connector pads on the rear of the robot were against the connectors in the dock. I got audio confirmation from the X12 when I had it properly docked.

From there, the update downloaded and installed in five minutes, and you get the option to set future updates to download and install automatically overnight. Once this is complete, it’s time to send the Deebot X12 OmniCyclone out to map your home.

Mapping

The Deebot X12 OmniCyclone automatically maps your home – you just need to set it going and it’ll work out your layout. It does a really good job, but you need to ensure the pathways around your home are clear before it heads out, as I found when I set it off to map.

I placed the base station in my laundry room, and the X12 was able to manoeuvre its way around this small space and make its way into my main living area. Here it did well moving round my kitchen island, sofa, TV stand, plants and coffee table. It even did pretty well under the dining table, among the web of chair legs, although it did spend around 30 seconds working out how to free itself from between a few of the legs – it made it out in the end though.

All seemed to be going well, but instead of venturing into the hallway and then the lounge, the X12 returned to the base station, saying it had completed mapping.

That’s because as it made its way round the kitchen, my cat was blocking the door to the hallway as it watched suspiciously as the X12 trundled past it. Due to this feline blockade, the robot clearly assumed there was nothing worth investigating beyond it.

After I had gently ushered my cat out of the way, I sent the Deebot X12 OmniCyclone out on a fresh mapping run, and this time it managed to find its way into the hallway and lounge.

It completed the mapping task in five minutes, producing an impressive floor plan of my home, with each space colour coded and rooms auto-named – although the names can be easily edited in the app if it hasn’t got them quite right.

Carpets, rugs and mats were also automatically detected without my intervention, which means the X12 knows where to mop, and where not to mop.

You can also fine tune the map it's created as well, by moving walls, highlighting additional carpeted areas, setting no-spray zones, and creating virtual boundaries if you don’t want the robot going into certain areas.

Design and features

With the weight of a sizeable price tag on its shoulders, the Deebot is at least dressed for the occasion. Its slick, premium design looks modern, and the base station features a smart Deebot logo design on its top, adding to the premium aesthetic.

The base station and robot vacuum also feel premium, with a certain heft to them, and a well built finish that suggests they’re capable of years of loyal service.

I did find the glossy front section of the robot a bit of a dust and fingerprint magnet though, picking up cat hair and fluff as it trundled round my home. This isn’t a huge issue, but it can lead to the machine looking a little grubby after a while, not to mention potentially blocking the view for the AI sensors and cameras. Giving it a quick wipe with a cloth every now and to keep it looking smart.

You’ll need to find a decent chunk of space for the base station, as it’s bigger than some of the competition, chiefly due to its bagless design and powerful cyclone dust bin that sucks out debris from the robot’s bin with impressive force.

The design of the clean and dirty water tanks on top of the station have also been improved, with comfortable handles making it easy to remove and empty/refill them.

In a lot of ways, the features here are similar to those found on its predecessor, the Deebot X11 Omnicyclone, but there is one major new addition with the X12.

FocusJet is the firm’s latest technology, with the robot’s AI able to automatically detect heavy stains, spraying them with a cleaning solution from two nozzles on the front of the robot before starting a mopping routine. Ecovacs says this results in fewer passes required when mopping to remove stubborn stains, increasing the efficiency of the robot.

Unlike some of its mopping rivals that use flat, circular mop pads, the Deebot X12 OmniCyclone comes with the firm’s Ozmo Roller 3.0, a 27cm cylindrical roller mop that can extend from the side of the robot (Ecovacs calls this ‘TruEdge’) to get into corners and up to edges other bots might not be able to reach.

The roller is 50% longer than its predecessor (17.5cm) and can spin quicker at 220rpm (vs 200rpm on the X11) for a deeper clean.

Unlike the Dreame Matrix10, there aren’t dedicated roller mops for different surfaces - the Deebot makes do with the single roller. However, like other premium rivals, the base station here can clean the roller during cycles, and once a cleaning cycle has finished – ensuring your floors get a fresh clean each time.

The base station takes around three minutes to complete a mop washing cycle, and during that time it’s able to recharge the X12’s battery by up to 13%, ensuring the robot can mop larger areas without lengthy recharge breaks.

Another upgrade that arrives on the X12 is the Zero Tangle 4.0 main brush, designed to not get clogged up with hair thanks to an anti-tangle, which paired with 22,000Pa of suction power provides a suitable level of power – even though both the Dreame and Roborock offer greater suction.

This also wouldn’t be a premium robot vacuum in the year 2026 if AI wasn’t present. The Deebot Z12 OmniCyclone packs Yiko, an AI assistant you talk to to control cleans. Instructions can be very specific too, such as "please clean below the sofa in the living room."

The app also sports an AI agent mode, which can learn your habits and automatically adjust cleaning modes and scheduling, with the aim of seamlessly fitting into your household’s needs.

Maintenance

The OmniCyclone base station that comes with the Deebot X12 looks good, and is highly functional in its design. The clean and dirty water reservoirs are easy to remove and refill/empty, sliding out from the top of the station, while a small panel on the front left is easily removed to reveal the cleaning solution reservoirs for the mopping and FocusJet. These too, simply slide out and each have a removable lid to keep the contents secure.

The cyclone bin sits proudly in the centre of the station, and it’s easy to remove with a single latch that doubles as the carry handle, allowing you to remove it from the station. It then has a blue, spring-loaded slider on the side, that you slide down, opening the base of the bin and pushing the contents out.

I like how easy this was to empty, and it kept my hands clean. Plus there are no dust bags to contend with, making things even easier. I also found the bin to be a good size, capable of holding multiple full cleans of my home before I needed to empty it.

Meanwhile, the station also cleans the mop brush, leaving you to just deal with the dirty water it generates from this clean.

The only small downside is I found the robot dropped debris on the base station ramp after every cleaning cycle – which meant I had to manually tidy it up each time. It’s not a huge issue, and it’s not like I had to chase it round the house picking up after it, but it was a little frustrating.

Performance

Day-to-day, the Deebot X12 OmniCyclone is easy to live with. Set it off to vacuum the house and it will diligently do so, trundling through your home collecting debris in its path.

Like many robot vacuums, it’s much quieter than a traditional vacuum (usually 65-85dB), and I measured its vacuuming volume at 51-54dB on hard floor and 55-65dB on carpet. It’s louder on carpet as the X12 automatically detects the floor type and increases suction to ensure the same level of clean through the fibres.

It means you’re still able to have a conversation with someone without shouting at them, or watch TV without having to flick the volume up much, as the X12 moves round the room.

You get four levels of vacuum suction, however for the most part I stuck with ‘standard’ (aka level 2), which managed to collect light debris such as crumbs and cat hair from both hard floor and carpet.

For the times when I went longer between vacuum cycles, or when I’d had multiple guests visit in a short space of time, I’d switch the power to strong. If you really want to get fine debris up, there is a Max (level 4) setting, although this is much louder and uses more battery power.

The X12 did a good job of moving around my home, although there were occasions where it would nudge a cat bowl, wrestle a lightweight mat by the door, and bump into a table leg or two. It never got stuck though, and I was impressed with how it always worked out a way to free itself from a tight spot.

It was also able to handle the 2cm step between my hardfloor hallway and carpeted lounge, applying additional power to the wheels to help it boost over the ledge and continue its clean.

What also impressed me was this robot vacuum’s low profile, and its ability to continue under low-sitting units where there was only a few millimetres of vertical clearance. It even has a light that will automatically turn on if its under a large piece of furniture and the cameras need a better view of what’s around it.

It can take you by surprise, as its relatively quiet operation means I sometimes forgot it was moving round my home, only to be slightly shocked when it tickled my feet. Avoid them, it did not.

It took between 60 and 70 minutes to clean my 40m² home, and it was able to do it all on a single charge, with around 40% battery remaining.

During this time it would return to the dock two or three times to empty the X12’s onboard bin into the larger bin in the OmniCyclone station. It’s this emptying which is the noisiest part of the whole process, so if you’re thinking about running the Deebot X12 overnight, the bin emptying could wake you up.

While the X12 did a good job collecting fine debris (think crumbs, pet hair, dust and dirt) on its regular vacuum cycles, it struggled when I tasked it with more substantial clean-ups.

I dropped 20g of rice on both hard flooring and carpet, and the X12 collected 98% of the grains on the latter. That sounds like a good result, but the remaining 0.5g it left behind were noticeable to the eye and under foot, which isn’t particularly useful if you’re looking for a hassle-free clean up of a spill.

Things got much worse then I repeated the same hard floor and carpet pick-up tests with 20g of Cheerios breakfast cereal. Instead of running over the scattering of multigrain rings, the Deebot X12 actively avoids the denser patches of the ‘spill’ and vacuums around it.

As for the rings it did manage to collect, when it returned to the base station it wasn’t able to remove all of them from the robot’s bin. This meant I had to manually clear it out.

This was disappointing to see, as it reduces the vacuum’s convenience as you can’t reliably call on it to tidy up larger debris you might have dropped on the floor.

The X12’s mopping function works more consistently, with the roller mop providing even coverage across my hard floors, and not leaving them overly wet. That means the clean floors dry quickly.

Deebot’s TruEdge feature sees the roller mop extend from the side of the unit, allowing it to clean up close to skirting boards, corners, and other harder to reach areas.

The X12 did a great job of automatically detecting carpet and lifting the roller mop up and out of the way when traveling over this surface. You’ll find the robot returns to the base station at least once during a mopping cycle to clean the roller, helping to avoid dragging dirt around your floors.

This process takes three minutes, and the X12 fast-charges during this time. I saw it replenish 14% of its battery during its washing cycles, which is a nice feature to ensure it doesn’t run out of charge mid-cycle.

It also performed well with tougher stains, like a dried ketchup spill, with the company’s FocusJet technology detecting the mess and effectively spraying it with cleaning solution before it attempted to mop.

The spill was cleaned up, with the X12 taking a few passes over the mess to ensure it got it all. Once mopping is complete, the X12 returns to the base station for another clean and then a roller mop drying cycle. It’s an impressive solution that I found worked very well.

Verdict

Did my floors look cleaner and feel fresher underfoot after the Deebot X12 OmniCyclone completed each full vacuum and mop cleaning cycle? Absolutely.

With two cats in our home, having feline hair regularly collected, food crumbs swept up, and muddy paw prints scrubbed away near the cat flap, the X12 delivered the service I was expecting for routine cleans. However, its vacuuming performance isn’t flawless.

If you’re after a robot vacuum that can reliably handle larger debris, you’ll want to look at the comparably priced Roborock and Draeme models as they offer better performance here.

The app is excellent though, and I found the automatic mapping of my home very impressive. The quiet operation (bin emptying aside) also meant the X12 could go about its business without interfering with my day – although it might nibble your feet if you’re milling around a room while it’s on its cycle.

Mopping performance was impressive, and the FocusJet tech did appear to help the X12 clear up more stubborn strains. If you’re after a premium robot vacuum and mop that can reliably clean your floors' general dust and dirt on a regular basis, the X12 delivers.

Alternatives to consider

The X12 has tough competition, and there are two other flagship robot vacuums and mops that are just ahead of the Deebot thanks to better vacuuming.

The Roborock Saros 20 is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop systems we’ve tested, combining powerful performance with well-executed features and technologies. It’s expensive, but if you’re after a high-performance robot that requires minimal input, this is one of the best options.

Meanwhile, the Dreame Matrix10 Ultra is one of the most advanced and user-friendly robot vacuums around, with cutting-edge tech and effortless automation, all controlled through the excellent Dreamehome app. The only real downsides are the high price and short power cable.

Another week, another new Shark floorcare launch! This time, Shark is expanding its Shark CarpetForce line-up with two new models designed to deep clean your rugs and carpets – and they may have just solved the biggest problem I have with traditional carpet cleaners.

2026 has been a huge year for Shark so far, with the brand releasing new PowerDetect vacuum cleaners, a portable, handheld fan and even a leaf blower! Its latest launches go back to its floorcare roots, and caters to carpeted homes and pet owners in the US.

The new Shark CarpetForce line-up includes the Shark CarpetForce Upright Carpet Cleaner, and the Shark CarpetForce HairPro. Both models have been given a new lightweight, compact design which tackles one of the most overlooked problems with traditional carpet cleaners.

I’ve tried many floorcare products in my time as Home Editor for T3, and I’ve always found carpet cleaners to be extraordinarily heavy and bulky. The new Shark CarpetForce launches have solved this issue with their slimmer, lighter formats, making it easier to move and carry them around your home.

Starting with the Shark CarpetForce Upright Carpet Cleaner, this model offers six times deeper cleaning than vacuuming, and comes with two customisable modes – Deep Clean and Express Clean. The former is designed for heavy messes while the latter is for quick cleans that dry even quicker.

The Shark CarpetForce Upright Carpet Cleaner uses a new DirtDisrupt brushroll which works at high speed and has multi-angled brushes that extract embedded dirt. It also comes with Shark’s Deep Clean Ultra with Stain Guardian formula that removes stains and odours.

The second launch is the Shark CarpetForce HairPro which pet owners will definitely appreciate. Pet hair – no matter how short – gets everywhere, especially into carpets, but the Shark CarpetForce HairPro uses HairPro technology to pick up three times more pet hair without clogging the brushroll.

The Shark CarpetForce HairPro has many of the same features as the other new CarpetForce model, including its lightweight design, dirt pick-up, customisable modes, and faster drying time. Where it differs is its PowerFins brushroll which offers continuous cleaning contact for picking up trapped dirt and hidden pet hair.

The new Shark CarpetForce cleaners are available to buy now, with the CarpetForce Upright Carpet Cleaner priced at $199.99, and the CarpetForce HairPro costing $229.99. As of writing, UK pricing and availability hasn’t been announced yet.

Shark has launched its new Luxe Collection of its PowerDetect cordless and robot vacuum cleaners. Designed to blend into your home’s interior, Shark has reimagined its PowerDetect Speed Clean & Empty and its PowerDetect UV Reveal 2-in-1 Vac and Mop in eight stunning colours – and they actually make me want to display my vacuum cleaner.

Let’s be honest, vacuum cleaners aren’t exactly the most attractive things in the world, and are typically hidden away in airing cupboards until they need to be used. But Shark’s new Luxe Collection is meant to “live beautifully in your home” while also offering a professional clean.

For UK and US shoppers, the Shark PowerDetect Speed Luxe Collection Clean & Empty Cordless Vacuum – try saying that three times fast – is now available in four colourways that are more natural than its previous iteration. Instead of harsh black and whites, Shark’s Luxe colours are inspired by soft earth tones and neutrals that are complemented by satin metallic accents.

The Shark PowerDetect Speed now comes in Walnut, Oatstone, Sagewood and Harbour Slate colours. The Oatstone shade is my personal favourite, as the main parts of the vacuum are neutral and muted, but there are hints of gold on the design that make it look really luxurious – I can’t believe I just said that about a vacuum, but here we are!

Aside from the new colours, the Luxe edition of the Shark PowerDetect Speed still has the same cleaning features as before. This includes four detection technologies that detect dirt, carpets, edges and cleaning direction, and Shark’s popular Anti Hair Wrap technology that prevents hair from getting tangled in the brushroll.

The Shark PowerDetect Speed comes with an auto-empty charging dock which empties the vacuum’s bin and charges it for you. The dock also comes in the new colourways. The Shark PowerDetect Speed Luxe Collection is available to buy now for £499.99 / $499.99 at SharkNinja.

For just US customers, Shark has also given the Luxe treatment to its Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal 2-in-1 Vac & Mop. The robot vacuum and mop now comes in Espresso, Ivory, Deep Harbor and Evergreen colours, with the latter being exclusive on SharkNinja’s website.

Out of all of the colours, the Evergreen is my pick, as it looks like it’s stepped out of a forest, and has stunning hints of gold. The robot vacuum and mop has UV light detection to find and clean hidden messes, and uses intelligent sensors, lasers and cameras to map your home. The Luxe edition of the Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal is available for $1,299.

Dreame has just debuted its new robot vacuum cleaner line-up at its latest launch event. Taking a page out of Eufy’s book, Dreame has announced its new Cyber X robot vacuum which climbs up and down stairs, and after seeing it in action, I think it finally solves the biggest problem these types of floor cleaners have – here’s what you need to know.

Clearly 2026 is the year for Dreame, as the brand has released tons of new home appliances, including its exciting new X60 series, featuring AI-powered robot vacuums and mops. I recently got to see them in action at Dreame’s Paris launch event that took place this week, and I think the new Cyber X is what we should all be excited about.

The Dreame Cyber X has been dubbed the ‘world’s first bionic quad-track stair climbing robot vacuum’. It looks a lot like the Eufy Mars Walker which debuted at IFA 2025, in that it has a similar design where the main robot vacuum slots into a carrier which then transports it up and down stairs.

Seeing the Dreame Cyber X climb stairs was extremely impressive. It can climb slopes up to 42° and tackle different types of staircases, including spiral and carpet. Where it shines though is descending stairs as it can easily climb down on its bionic quad-track system without sliding or falling down, thanks to its rubber tracks and triple brakes.

The Dreame Cyber X uses 3D ToF Vision to map your stairs, and it can support up to four floors at a time. It also has obstacle recognition so it can avoid objects up to 35cm, and it’ll pause if it sees someone coming down the stairs while it’s climbing or descending.

My issue with stair-climbing robots – other than the fear that I’d be woken in the night by one coming up the stairs! – is that it goes up and down stairs without actually cleaning them. The Dreame Cyber X has solved this though, as the robot vacuum will pause on the stairs to clean it while it descends.

It was quite strange seeing the Dreame Cyber X clean the stairs. It almost hovers on them while its small dual brushes get to work. But the cleaning is powerful with 6,000Pa suction on offer. It also has a 5,200mAh battery for multi-level cleaning, and is compatible with the brand’s X60 Pro vacuums.

Pricing and availability on the Dreame Cyber X has yet to be announced but I hope it arrives soon, as I want to see how it fares amongst its other climbing competitors.

Dreame has finally launched the Z30 Pro Aqua in the UK, its latest wet and dry cordless vacuum cleaner. The Dreame Z30 Pro Aqua is a 2-in-1 floor cleaner which powerfully and expertly removes stains, but it’s the self-cleaning station that I’m most intrigued by.

Dreame’s latest flagship model, the Dreame Z30 Pro Aqua takes a page out of Dyson and Shark’s books with its new floor cleaner that offers both wet and dry cleaning in one device. It uses an AquaCycle 2.0 system to spray water and scrub stains, and vacuuming up dirt simultaneously.

Part of the AquaCycle 2.0 is a brush that offers a four-phase cleaning system – spray, scrape, scrub and suction. For the vacuuming, the Dreame Z30 Pro Aqua has a powerful 28,000Pa motor that sucks up dirt, dust, pet hair and other debris, and can cover up to 290m².

Within the brush of the Dreame Z30 Pro Aqua is TangleCut technology – similar to Shark’s Anti Hair Wrap technology. Instead of pet and human hair getting stuck in and around the brush, the Dreame Z30 Pro Aqua has dual motorised scrapers that cut hair while vacuuming to avoid tangles and blockages.

Shifting over to mopping, the Dreame Z30 Pro Aqua has a three-zone water management system that separates clean and dirty water, and solid debris into different compartments – a la the Dyson Wash G1. The vacuum also has a filtration system that captures dust and other particles to keep the air in your home cleaner and more hygienic.

But the real star of the show is the Dreame Z30 Pro Aqua’s self-cleaning system. It comes with a base station that automatically washes and dries the roller of the brush. It dries it using 70° hot air so the vacuum-mop is ready to go for your next clean.

The design of the Dreame Z30 Pro Aqua is versatile, with its 90° foldable rod that gets into hard-to-reach areas, and a 180° rotating head. The vacuum offers a 90 minute runtime, and comes with accessories to suit all types of stains and surfaces, including furniture.

The Dreame Z30 Pro Aqua is available to buy for £549 at Dreame and Amazon.

Dreame has today announced its most powerful and intelligent robot vacuum series yet, introducing major upgrades across cleaning performance, AI navigation and full-home coverage. It’s the brand’s first major robot vacuum-focused launch in a while, especially after its huge ecosystem expansion stole the spotlight at CES back in January.

The new lineup includes three models – the X60 Pro Ultra Complete, the X60 Pro Ultra Matrix and the X60 Pro Master. Whilst each model is designed around slightly different user needs, together they form what Dreame is calling its first “full-space cleaning solution”.

Full pricing and availability details for the X60 Pro Series will be revealed during Dreame’s official launch event on 27th May.

The headline model is the X60 Pro Ultra Complete, which introduces several major upgrades over previous Dreame robot vacuums. One of the biggest additions is the company’s new Dual UltraExtend Arm system, allowing the side brush to extend by up to 12cm and the mop pad by up to 18cm.

The X60 Pro Ultra Complete is also equipped with Dreame’s new AI OmniSight System 3.0. Using dual 120-degree AI cameras and upgraded navigation technology, the system can reportedly recognise more than 320 object types, detect obstacles as small as 10mm and react within 0.1 seconds. Dreame has also added a new blue light detection system capable of identifying transparent liquid spills and automatically switching the robot into a mop-only cleaning mode.

The X60 Pro Ultra Complete features an enormous 42,000Pa suction level – the highest Dreame has ever offered – alongside the brand’s upgraded HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush 2.0 system and a Thermal Deep Mop System capable of cleaning mop pads using 100°C hot water. Dreame says this setup is designed to tackle stubborn stains more effectively, whilst also reducing hair tangling and improving hygiene during mopping.

The X60 Pro Ultra Matrix and X60 Pro Master share many of the same core technologies, but each introduces additional features aimed at different types of users. The Ultra Matrix includes a multi-mop switching dock with separate mop pads and cleaning solutions for different rooms, similar to the previous Matrix10 Ultra, helping reduce cross-contamination between spaces like kitchens and bathrooms.

Meanwhile, the X60 Pro Master focuses more heavily on convenience, featuring an automatic refill and drainage system housed inside a much smaller docking station designed to fit more discreetly into modern homes.

Alongside the X60 Pro Series, Dreame has also confirmed the official launch of Cyber X – the world’s first bionic quad-track stair-climbing robot vacuum. The Cyber X is designed to move across multiple levels of a home, and it can reportedly handle straight, spiral, open-riser and L-shaped stairs, climb slopes up to 42 degrees and overcome obstacles up to 35cm high.

Dreame says Cyber X can climb a stair in just 27 seconds thanks to its quad-track climbing system, whilst industrial-grade rubber tracks and a triple brake system help improve grip and overall safety.

The robot originally debuted at IFA 2025, but now returns with major upgrades and an official launch, with more details also expected during next week’s event.
