If you want waterproof and portable, Ultimate Ears make the best wireless speakers you can buy. Did we mention it was Summer Savings Week at T3?

Okay, some of the 'normal prices' quoted here are a little fanciful, but these are very good discounts on these great sounding, waterproof speakers with long battery life and attractive styling.

Ultimate Ears Megablast

This may look like any other Ultimate Ears speaker – it's shaped like a lager can, waterproofed and covered in fabric – but it has a trick up its sleeve in the form of Alexa. So now you can voice control your Amazon or Spotify tunes and enjoy great sound even if you drop it in the swimming pool (or bath).

Ultimate Ears Wonderboom

<a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8434&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.co.uk%2Fdp%2FB06X6JCBBR%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-21%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-21" data-link-merchant="Amazon UK"" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Ultimate Ears Wonderboom £51 | Was £90 | Save £39 at Amazon
The perfect cheap choice for a summer party where wetness is potentially on the menu, this is IPX7 rated for waterproofing. With a great, poppy sound that belies its small size and low (very low today) price, this is a steal. You can pair two of these little sonic grenades in stereo or dual mono if you need even more volume.

Ultimate Ears Boom 2 Lite

<a href="https://target.georiot.com/Proxy.ashx?tsid=8434&GR_URL=https%3A%2F%2Famazon.co.uk%2Fdp%2FB07J36VFFQ%3Ftag%3Dhawk-future-21%26ascsubtag%3Dhawk-custom-tracking-21" data-link-merchant="Amazon UK"" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Ultimate Ears Boom 2 Lite £63 | Was £170 | Save £107
Sure, probably nobody has ever paid £170 for this compact cylindrical powerhouse, but this is still another very good deal. Again it's waterproof and the 360-degree sound is suitably pumping, while those seeking an even bigger sound can pair two or more of these. You could, in fact have 150 of them playing the same tune at once.

All of these discounted speakers come in any colour you like, so long as it's black. They are also all perfectly fine to use indoors. The audio is surprisingly good considering they're 100% waterproof and built for pool parties. These Ultimate Ears speakers look as good as they sound, and their footprint is very small, so they are particularly good for the kitchen, bathroom or bedroom.

With long Bluetooth range, compact size, full waterproofing and the option to pair two or more, Booms, Megabooms, Megablasts and Wonderbooms are the perfect portable speakers. These deals only run today although we expect to keep seeing discounts on Ultimate Ears speakers forever and ever.

Duncan Bell

Duncan is the former lifestyle editor of T3 and has been writing about tech for almost 15 years. He has covered everything from smartphones to headphones, TV to AC and air fryers to the movies of James Bond and obscure anime. His current brief is everything to do with the home and kitchen, which is good because he is an excellent cook, if he says so himself. He also covers cycling and ebikes – like over-using italics, this is another passion of his. In his long and varied lifestyle-tech career he is one of the few people to have been a fitness editor despite being unfit and a cars editor for not one but two websites, despite being unable to drive. He also has about 400 vacuum cleaners, and is possibly the UK's leading expert on cordless vacuum cleaners, despite being decidedly messy. A cricket fan for over 30 years, he also recently become T3's cricket editor, writing about how to stream obscure T20 tournaments, and turning out some typically no-nonsense opinions on the world's top teams and players.

Before T3, Duncan was a music and film reviewer, worked for a magazine about gambling that employed a surprisingly large number of convicted criminals, and then a magazine called Bizarre that was essentially like a cross between Reddit and DeviantArt, before the invention of the internet. There was also a lengthy period where he essentially wrote all of T3 magazine every month for about 3 years.

A broadcaster, raconteur and public speaker, Duncan used to be on telly loads, but an unfortunate incident put a stop to that, so he now largely contents himself with telling people, "I used to be on the TV, you know."
