Hogwarts Legacy received its first extensive look during a PlayStation State of Play event last week, giving fans a good taste of what to expect from the new Harry Potter action RPG.

Set during the late 1800s, players will join Hogwarts as a fifth-year student where they will take part in classes and explore an open world environment based on iconic locations from the film and books. Developer Avalanche Software, best known for the Disney Infinity series of video games, really looks to have taken their talents to the next level, pulling from the deep lore of Harry Potter to bring about an authentic Wizarding experience.

To get a better idea of what players will get up to in Hogwarts Legacy, we've gathered together every official image of the upcoming game for your viewing pleasure. Scroll through the below gallery to see them all for yourself:

Whether it's deciding what House to join (shout out to my fellow Ravenclaws), soaring the skies of the open world on the back of a broom, or just simply walking around the many halls and rooms Hogwarts has to offer, Hogwarts Legacy looks to be the video game experience fans of the series have been pining for.

With 14-minutes of new PS5 gameplay premiered during the PlayStation livestream, many people will be hoping that Hogwarts Legacy makes it out in 2022. Warner Bros. has already confirmed that Gotham Knights will launch in October, while a Bloomberg report indicates that Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been pushed to 2023. We'll just have to wait and see what happens but I'd be surprised if WB releases two of its biggest titles in such close proximity.

Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled to release in Holiday 2022 across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. The game was also quietly confirmed to be coming to Nintendo Switch.
