As someone who reviews everything from the best coffee machines to robot vacuums, there are certain products that inevitably end up being delegated to my long-suffering partner. The best body groomers fall firmly into that category, and whilst I was technically overseeing the testing process, it's fair to say my role involved inspecting the results from a respectful distance and trying not to laugh.

The Manspot Body Trimmer is one of a growing number of affordable grooming tools promising a smoother and less stressful manscaping experience. With waterproofing, ceramic blades and a wallet-friendly price tag, it certainly ticks plenty of boxes on paper.

After several weeks of testing – mostly carried out by my partner, much to his delight – here's how the Manspot Body Trimmer performed.

Price and availbility

It doesn't get much cheaper than the Manspot Body Trimmer, which comes in at just £21.99 on Amazon. The Manspot version is available in either black or a stylish khaki green, whilst there's also a Ladyspot model offered in pink or purple.

Slightly unnecessary gendered marketing, but at least there are a few colour options to choose from.

Design and features

The Manspot Body Trimmer is designed as an all-in-one grooming tool for body hair, with a clear focus on comfort and ease of use in more sensitive areas. It has an ergonomic shape that sits comfortably in the hand, whilst the textured finish provides plenty of grip. It's also fully waterproof, allowing you to use it wet or dry and rinse it clean afterwards.

The trimmer uses a high-performance motor paired with an anti-cut blade system that's designed to minimise irritation, nicks and razor burn. The blades themselves are made from ceramic and aerospace-grade materials, which Manspot claims improve both durability and comfort during use. They're also intended to be more hygienic than some traditional blade materials, making them well suited to regular grooming.

The trimmer ships with four guide combs offering cutting lengths of 1.5mm, 3mm, 3-6mm and 9-12mm. The shortest guard delivers a very close trim, whilst the longer options give you a bit more flexibility depending on the look you're after.

Manspot claims the battery can last for up to 20 grooming sessions, or around 90 minutes of runtime from a single charge. Charging takes around 2.5 hours and is handled via USB-C, and there's also a small cleaning brush included in the box.

Performance

My partner actually started testing the Manspot Body Trimmer on his face first, simply to get a feel for how the trimmer handled. That said, I wouldn't recommend regularly using a body trimmer as your main facial grooming tool, as it's specifically designed for more sensitive areas of the body. If facial shaving is your priority, you're much better off sticking with one of the best electric shavers.

His first impression was how comfortable the trimmer felt in the hand. The ergonomic shape makes it easy to manoeuvre, whilst the soft-touch silicone provides plenty of grip. It feels secure to hold, which is particularly important if you're using it in the shower where things can quickly become slippery.

He also liked the blade width, which strikes a nice balance between covering larger areas efficiently whilst still being precise enough for more detailed grooming. Swapping between the included guards is equally straightforward thanks to the simple clip-on, clip-off design.

Moving onto the rest of his body, he was pleasantly surprised by the overall performance. Whilst it doesn't quite match the refinement of premium options like the Wahl Manscaper, it comfortably performs above what its price tag would suggest. The trimmer followed body contours well, delivered a neat trim and, most importantly, managed to avoid any uncomfortable pinches or nicks.

One thing he did note is that the Manspot Body Trimmer is fairly compact. Whilst that means it doesn't cover large areas quite as quickly as some bigger rivals, it makes it an excellent option to take travelling. As a result, it would have been nice to see Manspot include a travel pouch or storage case in the box, but considering the price, it's hardly a dealbreaker.

Verdict

The Manspot Body Trimmer is a budget-friendly grooming tool that prioritises comfort and safety over premium refinement. It performs reliably for everyday body grooming, especially in sensitive areas, and whilst it doesn’t quite reach the smooth efficiency of higher-end competitors, it still delivers impressive results for its price. Its compact size also makes it travel-friendly, though the lack of a storage pouch is a small but noticeable omission.

Alternatives to consider

If you're looking for another affordable body groomer, I'd also recommend the Philips Series 3000 Bodygroomer. It delivers an impressively smooth shave for the money and feels remarkably similar to Philips' more premium Series 7000 models, despite costing just over £40.

I also couldn't finish without mentioning the Wahl Manscaper, which remains our favourite body groomer overall. Not only is it competitively priced, but it combines a lightweight build with a comfortable rubberised grip and a handy LED display that shows both the selected cutting length and remaining battery life.

I travel a lot for work, and for obvious reasons, I take my electric toothbrush with me on all my trips. But after one journey, I got into my hotel room, unpacked my toiletries and found that my electric toothbrush was completely dead, even though I’d charged it beforehand.

After little deducing, I realised that when I’d packed my electric toothbrush, the contents in my bag must have accidentally pressed against the on/off button. So, while I was sitting on the plane, my toothbrush was working away, brushing absolutely nothing and draining the battery in the process.

I know what you’re thinking: this is why you put your electric toothbrush in its travel case – and you’d be right. Removing the brush head from the main body of the toothbrush, and storing it in its travel pouch helps guarantee your toothbrush won’t turn on and buzz away for hours, meaning you won’t lose use of it when you get to your destination.

But whether your electric toothbrush comes with a travel case or not, many of today’s electric toothbrushes don’t have detachable heads, in an effort to be more sustainable and create less waste. If this is the case for you, I recently found this ‘hidden’ travel lock feature which prevents your electric toothbrush from turning on accidentally – if only I’d known about this before!

The buttons on your electric toothbrush do a lot more than you might think. Aside from switching modes and turning on and off, your electric toothbrush’s controls can also ‘lock’ your toothbrush so you can save your battery and prolong the lifespan of its technology.

For most electric toothbrushes, you can activate the travel lock by pressing and holding the power button for up to five seconds. To ‘unlock’ your electric toothbrush, simply do the same. But some models are different, so I’ve listed how to use the travel lock on your toothbrush for Philips, Oral-B and SURI users.

How to use the travel lock on Philips electric toothbrushes

Philips electric toothbrushes all have similar methods for activating the travel lock. For Sonicare and ExpertClean models – we’re fans of the Philips Sonicare 7100 at T3 – you simply press and hold the power button for three seconds. To let you know the travel lock is on, the battery light will flash or a lock icon will show. Your toothbrush will also make a beeping noise.

The Philips DiamondClean brushes, like the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9900 Prestige, require you to press down the mode button instead of the power button.

How to use the travel lock on Oral-B electric toothbrushes

As Oral-B electric toothbrushes have gotten more advanced with each new generation, there are a couple of ways to turn on the travel lock. If your Oral-B iO toothbrush has a touchscreen, you can scroll through the settings to select the travel lock option. Alternatively, hold the power button for five seconds until a lock icon appears and the LED light around the head flashes.

For more recent Oral-B iO brushes, like the Oral-B iO6 and above, you can turn the travel lock on and off by using the Oral-B app. If your toothbrush is under iO6, like the Oral-B iO3, you’ll need to stick to holding down the power button – the same can be said for Pro and Smart toothbrushes.

How to use the travel lock on SURI electric toothbrushes

If you have a SURI toothbrush like the SURI 2.0, you simply need to press and hold the power button for five seconds. Above the button is a light which will flash orange to indicate it’s locked. The brush itself will also vibrate and beep.

While it used to be that most people had a signature scent – a single fragrance which was recognisable as theirs – that's far less common these days. In 2026, scent is treated more like a wardrobe, with different options for different moods, weathers and seasons.

That's exactly why bottles like Creed's Wild Vetiver get me so excited. The scent – a sibling to the 22 year old Original Vetiver – is unlikely to be the daily driver for many men.

It's scent profile is sweet and floral, with strong notes of rose and lots of fruits sat on top of a vetiver and woody base. If you were only ever going to wear one scent, I don't think many of us would opt for that.

But when you've got a few bottles or a small collection, Wild Vetiver can really shine. Not dissimilar to that day where you decide to wear your most outlandish shirt just because you can, this scent can offer something totally different on days when you just fancy a change.

I've been wearing this on and off for the past few weeks, and always find it to be a welcome scent to put on. One thing which has particularly impressed is the longevity, with it seeming to stick to skin and clothes for hours. I'm quite happy with a couple of sprays to last a full six to eight hours.

Projection is also pretty good. While there's some fall off after the initial sprays, I found myself and others around me still noticing it a few hours later, which is more than can be said for some scents I've tested.

Of course, it's not cheap, and that will be the biggest stumbling block for most users. I managed to find it for £220 (approx. €255 / US$295 / AU$420) for a 50ml bottle and £310 (approx. €360 / US$415 / AU$590) for a 100ml bottle, which is definitely on the higher end for most of us.

I wouldn't say it's too expensive, though, sitting broadly alongside bottles from the likes of Acqua di Parma, Tom Ford and the like. It can hold its own in that company, and that justifies it for me.

The Oral-B iO range has quickly become one of the most recognisable names among the best electric toothbrushes, offering everything from affordable entry-level models to premium brushes packed with smart features.

Over the years, we've tested the Oral-B iO2, iO3 and iO7, giving us a good understanding of where each model sits within the lineup. Now, the iO6 has arrived for review, positioning itself as a premium mid-range option that still commands a significant price tag.

This raises the question of whether the iO6 offers enough over its cheaper siblings to justify the extra cost, or are you better off saving your money and avoiding it altogether. After several weeks of testing, here's how the Oral-B iO6 performed.

Price and availability

The Oral-B iO6 carries an RRP of £300, but like many Oral-B toothbrushes, it's frequently and generously discounted. At the time of writing, it's available for around £105 at both Currys and AO, making it a far more tempting proposition than its original price suggests.

It's available in Black, Pink or Silver Grey, and comes bundled with an iO brush head, travel case, magnetic charger and a hygienic brush head holder.

Design and features

The Oral-B iO6 sits firmly towards the premium end of Oral-B's lineup. The handle is slim, smooth and comfortable to hold, with a matte finish that feels premium in the hand whilst providing extra grip when wet.

At the centre of the handle is a small interactive black-and-white display that shows brushing modes, battery information, brush head replacement reminders and post-brushing feedback.

Whilst it's not as advanced as the colour display found on the more expensive iO8 and iO10 models, it still adds a premium touch and makes navigating settings far easier than relying on a collection of flashing LEDs. The toothbrush itself is controlled via two simple buttons – one for power and one for cycling through brushing modes.

The headline feature of the iO6 is Oral-B's magnetic iO drive system. Rather than relying solely on the oscillating movement found on older Oral-B brushes, the iO6 combines oscillation and rotation with gentle micro-vibrations. The result is a brushing experience that feels noticeably smoother and quieter whilst still delivering a deep clean.

The iO6 offers five cleaning modes, including Gum Care, Intense, Daily Clean, Sensitive and Whiten. There's also a 360-degree pressure sensor, with the illuminated ring around the neck of the brush changing colour depending on how hard you're brushing. Red indicates too much pressure, green confirms you're brushing correctly and white suggests you're not applying enough.

The iO6 also includes Bluetooth connectivity and works alongside the Oral-B app. Once connected, the app can provide real-time coaching, track brushing coverage and help ensure you're spending enough time on all areas of your mouth. For users who enjoy data-driven health tracking, it can even integrate with Apple Health.

Other premium features include a built-in two-minute timer, quadrant pacing to ensure even brushing, brush head replacement reminders and personalised brushing feedback.

Performance

For me, the cleaning performance is where the Oral-B iO6 really stands out, and throughout testing, my teeth consistently felt exceptionally clean after every brush. I found myself using the Daily Clean mode most often, and it struck a great balance between power and comfort.

One of my favourite features during testing was the built-in display. It might sound like a small addition, but being able to see exactly how long I'd been brushing for and how much time I had left made a strong difference to my routine. The feedback screen at the end of each session also made the whole experience feel more interactive and engaging.

I also really liked the illuminated pressure-sensing ring, which provides instant feedback if you're brushing too hard. Combined with Oral-B's clever iO brush heads, which gradually fade in colour as they wear out and need replacing, it's a very easy toothbrush to use and maintain.

The included travel case is also great, particularly for frequent travellers. It keeps everything protected in a suitcase, making the iO6 easy enough to throw into a bag for weekends away. I'm not entirely sure why there's space for two brush heads, but having a back up is always a good thing I suppose?

That said, there are a few frustrations. My biggest gripe is the lack of a proper stand or dock. Instead, the toothbrush sits directly on your bathroom surface, which can quickly become messy after brushing. Having recently used the magnetic pebble included with the SURI 2.0, it's something I noticed immediately and missed throughout testing.

Battery performance was another disappointment. A full recharge from empty took around 24-30 hours, which feels incredibly slow by modern standards, and once fully charged, I was only getting around one and a half to two weeks of use. Compared to rivals like the SURI 2.0 and Quip Lite, which can often last between 30 and 50 days between charges, that's a significant difference.

Factor in the relatively high price tag and the fact there are cheaper toothbrushes elsewhere in the iO range that deliver a very similar clean, and it becomes harder to fully justify the premium.

Verdict

The Oral-B iO6 delivers an excellent clean, feels premium in the hand and includes useful additions such as the interactive display, pressure-sensing ring and intelligent brush head reminders. Throughout testing, it consistently left my teeth feeling polished and fresh, whilst making the whole brushing experience more engaging than most electric toothbrushes manage.

However, the lengthy charging time, relatively average battery life and lack of a dedicated stand feel difficult to overlook at this price point. Add in the fact that cheaper models elsewhere in the iO lineup deliver a very similar cleaning experience, and the iO6 becomes harder to recommend at full retail price.

That said, if you can find it on one of Oral-B's frequent discounts, the iO6 becomes a much stronger proposition. For those who want a premium electric toothbrush packed with useful smart features, but don't feel the need to stretch to the flagship models, it's one of the strongest options in the range.

Alternatives to consider

If you like the idea of the Oral-B iO6 but don't think you'll use all of its extra features, I'd strongly recommend looking at the Oral-B iO2 instead. It's a much simpler toothbrush, but still offers three brushing modes, a quadrant timer, pressure sensor and travel case, whilst costing significantly less.

Another strong alternative is the Philips Sonicare 7100. It's also on the pricier side, but offers more advanced customisation options and delivers a different style of clean thanks to its sonic brushing technology rather than Oral-B's oscillating approach.

Smart technology has taken over all rooms in the home, including the bathroom. Nowadays, you can even get smart toilets so the idea of having toothbrushes with smart or AI features in them isn’t that wild anymore.

But sometimes, it’s best to go back to basics, and that’s where the Oral-B iO3 comes in. Launched in 2024, the Oral-B iO3 is the brand’s entry-level model in its iO electric toothbrush series. Since its launch, there have been many more iO releases – the newest model being the iO10 – but the Oral-B iO3 doesn’t disappoint when it comes to a deep clean, good charge and affordable price.

Oral-B iO3 review: price and availability

The Oral-B iO3 is available to buy for £160 at Oral-B and select retailers like Amazon, John Lewis and Boots. It’s available in black, grey, pink and blue colours, and comes with a travel case and charger. In the US, it’s between $75 - $90.

It’s rare that you’ll see the Oral-B iO3 at full price. As of writing, it’s discounted to £65 at Amazon and Boots, and £59 at John Lewis. As it only comes with one brush head, you’ll need to buy replacements which you can get in two, six, eight and 10 packs. Prices on these typically start at £14.50 and you can buy them at most retailers.

Oral-B iO3 review: design and features

The Oral-B iO3 is an advanced electric toothbrush which measures 24cm in height and has a depth and width of 2.8cm. It weighs just 136g, making it extremely lightweight. The brush head of the Oral-B iO3 can be removed to swap out new heads and for travelling.

The main body of the Oral-B iO3 has the controls which consists of two buttons. The one at the top is for turning it on and off, and the bottom one cycles through its brushing modes – daily clean, sensitive and whitening.

Where the brush head meets the body of the Oral-B iO3, there’s a 360 degree LED light ring that acts as a visible pressure sensor for your teeth and gums. When it flashes green, it means the pressure is perfect, while red indicates you’re using too much pressure. The white light shows if you’re using too little pressure.

The Oral-B iO3 uses gentle micro-vibrations to clean your teeth. It has a round dentist approved brush head which has individually powered bristles. It has a two minute timer built in and the brush and noise slightly pauses every 30 seconds to tell you when to switch to a different zone in your mouth.

The Oral-B iO3 is easy to charge, and comes with a charging stand. It takes up to 16 hours to charge fully, and it delivers up to two weeks of brushing on a single charge. When charging, the light ring pulses red while charging and turns green when it’s fully charged.

There’s much debate between electric vs manual brushing, but Oral-B claims that the Oral-B iO3 offers 100% cleaner teeth and healthier gums than a regular manual toothbrush – here’s why I think they’re right.

Oral-B iO3 review: performance

I’ve tested many electric toothbrushes from Oclean, Quip and Philips, but the iO3 is my first model from Oral-B. My husband has had the iO7 for years and has loved it, so I was excited to see what all the hype was about.

As electric toothbrushes go, the Oral-B iO3 certainly looks the part. It has a simple design with just two buttons so you can’t really go wrong with it. Its noise isn’t too offensive and the brief pauses to tell you when to switch brush position is very helpful. The LED ring is the icing on the cake as it clearly shows how much pressure you’re using without overloading you with information.

I found the Oral-B iO3 to have a good amount of charge. It definitely lasted for over two weeks before I needed to recharge it. This isn’t huge compared to some of the other models I’ve tried, but it’s still pretty impressive. The charger and travel case that comes with the Oral-B iO3 are also well designed and easy to travel with.

The Oral-B iO3 definitely made my mouth and teeth feel very clean. The micro-vibrations are strong but they don’t feel too intense. At the risk of being laughed at, I felt that the brush heads felt a bit too large in my mouth. As mentioned, I’ve tested many electric toothbrushes that have had a lot slimmer heads, so in comparison, the Oral-B iO3 felt chunkier which made everything a bit messy.

Now, are there more advanced models on the market? Yes, but I like the simplicity of the Oral-B iO3. Sometimes, you don’t need your devices to be able to talk to you or to come with an app. While my husband’s iO7 is very impressive and it has the smiley face screen that everyone loves, the ease of use that comes with the Oral-B iO3 is great, and as the entry-level option to the range, you can’t really ask for much more.

Oral-B iO3 review: verdict

If you want a professional electric toothbrush which is simple to use and won’t break the bank, you can’t go wrong with the Oral-B iO3. It might not be the newest, smartest option on the market but it leaves your mouth feeling clean, fresh and hygienic – what else could you want, really?

It may take some time to get used to the brush heads and the mess can be a bit much, but the Oral-B iO3 is a brilliant option for those who want to improve their oral hygiene. It really wins points for its price as well.

Oral-B iO3 review: alternatives to consider

If you fancy similar simple controls, the Suri 2.0 is the best of the best. It looks great, performs professionally and its latest version has a new case, charging stand and pressure sensor.

If brush head size is important to you, the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9900 Prestige has similar controls and design to the Oral-B iO3 but comes with slimmer brush heads. It’s more expensive, a little heavier and comes with AI, so it’s not ‘simple’ by any means, but it does look it.

A more advanced version of the Oral-B iO3 is the Oral-B iO9. This model comes with the interactive screen that smiles or frowns at you to let you know how your brush went. It’s also more expensive and has app control.

In all my time testing the best men's fragrances, I don't think one has ever landed with me at a more perfect time than DS & Durga's Rum Bay Rum. As the UK melts through a heatwave, this bottle felt right at home.

Why? Well, to make this as simple as I possibly can – this scent smells almost exactly like a Cuba Libre, and for me, that's the perfect drink for a really hot day, basking in the sun.

The brand's own website lists bay, linden and sandalwood as the top, middle and base notes, respectively. For me, there's much more too it than that.

Sure, woods are here, but the spices are where it's really at. There's definite cinnamon to my nose, without straying too far into nose-piercing, sharp scent. Things remain very sweet throughout the wear, like you've just cracked the bottle top from a glass Coke bottle, and you get that first hit of sweet-spice.

The rum aspect is definitely not too prominent – there's no overbearing alcoholic smell here – though my brain certainly filled in the gaps. Maybe that's just the yearnings of a heat-soaked mind...

Silage is pretty good here, as anyone who has used DS & Durga will be accustomed to. There's no room-filling, overbearing projection, but simply a nice halo of good scent around the wearer.

Sadly, I found the longevity to be just a little less than I'd hope for, really only getting an hour or two before it was little more than a skin scent. It's worth noting that I was testing this in hot weather (did I mention the heat already) and on days where I was a little more active, so it's possible that a cooler temperature might yield better results here.

Even so, I can't help but recommend this. The scent is just so easy to wear, and such a classic that you really can't go wrong. Buy a 50ml and stick the bottle in your bag to top up as needed – you won't regret it!

With Acqua di Parma celebrating 110 years in the business this year, there's certain to be no shortage of special launches. We've already seen the launch of Colonia Il Profumo Millesimato, which utilised a specific harvest of the Ylang Ylang plant.

Now, the brand has unveiled its summer collection, complete with one fragrance which utilises a bizarre technique in its creation. Called Bergamotto La Spugnatura, and it's the last part of that name which is important here.

The La Spugnatura technique is an ancient, artisan technique used to extract citrus essence. In essence, the peels are hand-pressed into a sea sponge, before being extracted into terracotta pots, to ensure depth and nuance.

It's an extreme measure, but one which perfectly summarises the lengths to which the brand will go for perfect fragrance. You won't find techniques like this used everyday.

The whole collection was designed with Laura Gonzalez – an interior architect renowned for her 'chic mix-and-match' style. Her recent work includes the Cartier Mansion in New York and the Hotel Saint James in Paris, among others.

Elsewhere in the range, we find the brand's Fico di Amalfi scent reimagined with a limited edition bottle. There are also a trio of 200g candles available in three scents – Sorbetto Al Limone, Latte di Mandorla and Granita Al Gelso – plus a host of lifestyle goods like candle holders, a fan, and a tic tac toe game.

Priced at £236 (approx. €275 / US$315 / AU$445) for the headline La Spugnatura bottle and £156 (approx. €180 / US$210 / AU$295) for the Fico di Amalfi bottle, these fit into the pricing already well established in the brand's catalogue.

It's not cheap, but the best things in life rarely are. When you consider the attention to detail and the determination to continue ancient techniques to produce the very best artisanal scent, it's hard to argue with.

If you're a lover of men's fragrance, there will come a time where you start to look away from the beaten track. Sure, the likes of Tom Ford, Creed and Acqua di Parma produce incredible scents, but there's also a world outside of those brands where smaller companies are making niche bottles.

I've been fortunate enough to get my hands on quite a lot of them. So, if you're not sure where to start, look no further – here are five brands you might not be aware of, but you absolutely should be.

1. Jusbox

Up first is Jusbox. This brand offers something a little different, with each scent inspired by the work of a different musical artist, complete with a record-inspired bottle-top.

More than just the story, however, this brand seems to always knock it out of the park in terms of scent. I've had my hands on a decent cross-section of the range, and I've never had a bad experience.

My personal top pick is Beat Cafe, which is tastefully done with notes of leather and tobacco, and lots of elegance.

2. DS & Durga

Of the five options on this list, DS & Durga may well be the most well known. Still, the brand enjoys far less awareness than others in the space, so it's worthy of inclusion here.

Another musical option, DS & Durga is a husband and wife team, which creates a matching playlist for each of its scents. I've got a few of their bottles on my nightstand, mainly because the brand does an excellent job of filling the gap between familiarity and offering something new.

Take Crush Balls as an example – it's a fragrance which smells like fresh cut grass. You won't want that everyday, but when the occasion calls, nothing else will get close.

3. Goldfield and Banks

Hailing from Australia, Goldfield and Banks has garnered widespread acclaim on social media for its strong styling and well-executed scents. Everything about the experience epitomises luxury, and never wavers from that point.

My personal favourite is still Ingenious Ginger, which does a remarkable job of compressing the ginger note into something sweet and light, rather than outright spice. If you're looking for an all-weather daily wear option, this should be on your must-buy list.

4. Mind Games

Inspired by the world of chess and designed to be unisex, Mind Games fragrances offer a really compelling option for those seeking something different. Whether its an elegant gourmand packed with pistachio, or something deep and dark, there's a bottle here for you.

There's no getting around the price – these are eye-wateringly expensive – but the bottle designs are excellent and the scents are unlike anything else you'll find out there.

5. Born to Stand Out

Last, but in no way least, is Born to Stand Out. The Korean brand is all about breaking the rules, with edgy names for its scents – will you be wearing Sin & Pleasure or Naked Laundry today? – as well as an 8-bit middle finger emoji as the pointer on its website.

While still a relatively young brand, there's a lot of variety in the catalogue here. Everything from a well-stocked core offering to a stash of skin scents in the Eau Intimité range ensure there's something for everyone here.

Don't expect to like everything, but be certain there's a bottle for you.

Xiaomi has quietly listed its new electric toothbrush on its global website, suggesting it’s gearing up for a worldwide launch. The new Xiaomi Mijia Smart Servo-oscillation Electric Toothbrush Pro is the brand’s most advanced model yet, and it introduces a more refined cleaning system built around a servo-oscillation motor that’s said to sweep up to 60° whilst vibrating at the same time.

It’s not the first electric toothbrush we’ve seen from Xiaomi, with models like the Xiaomi Oscillation Electric Toothbrush already available in several regions. However, this new Pro version clearly sits at the top of the range, especially when it comes to cleaning efficiency and smart features.

Pricing and official availability haven’t been confirmed yet, but as mentioned, its appearance on Xiaomi’s global site does strongly suggest a wider rollout is on the way.

One of its standout additions is the integrated colour display on the handle, which provides real-time feedback, highlighting areas that may need another pass and even showing plaque levels. The toothbrush can also connect to Xiaomi’s app to provide personalised brushing reports, whilst also offering vibration alerts if you’re applying too much pressure.

Xiaomi claims the toothbrush can last up to 180 days on a single charge, and a full recharge taking around five hours. It also comes with two brush head options, including a softer bristle variant for sensitive teeth and gums – something you don’t always see included as standard.

The same handful of names have dominated the electric shaver category for years, and while the big players have steadily improved what's under the hood, the actual designs haven't changed all that much. You know the drill: long, contoured handle, rubber grip, a price tag that makes you wince when it's time to replace the foil head.

That's something personal care appliance maker Laifen seems determined to shake up. This relatively fresh brand has built a reputation in the last few years by taking categories the big guys had got comfortable in, like high-speed hair dryers and electric toothbrushes, and producing kit that looks and performs like flagship money but doesn't actually cost it.

The P3 Pro is the brand’s current flagship shaver. It's a compact foil model milled from a single block of aluminium, powered by dual linear motors at a combined 24,000 cuts per minute, with a three-element shaving head, IPX7 waterproofing, USB-C charging and a quoted 100 minutes of battery life. There's even a little glass window on the front so you can watch the motors at work.

I've been using the palm-sized shaving gadget for the past month to see if it performs as well as it looks. Here's what I think.

Laifen P3 Pro review: price and availability

The Laifen P3 Pro is on sale now in the UK and the US, with availability gradually expanding elsewhere. In the UK, you can pick it up direct from Laifen EU or via UK retailers like Amazon, where it's currently listed for just short of £170.

In the US, it's listed at $199.99 on Laifen's own site, and Australian buyers are looking at around AU$249.95 RRP, with regular discounts dropping it closer to AU$200.

For context, that puts the P3 Pro a fair bit cheaper than the obvious rival, the Panasonic Arc5 Palm, which often costs nearly twice as much. So if you're after the premium travel-shaver vibe without quite paying flagship money, the Laifen is a worthy contender before you even switch it on.

Laifen P3 Pro review: design and build

The first thing that hits you with the P3 Pro is how unusual it looks. It's not your typical long, contoured shaver with a rubberised grip. Instead, it's a chunky little metal cuboid, milled from a single block of aluminium, with a small glass window on the front so you can actually see the dual motors at work. It's a bit like one of those open-window watches, and yes, it's a flex, but it's a fun one that I’m glad is there.

The little glass display panel up front is minimalist but does the job, with a subtle icon for the travel lock and another for charging status. It’s all you need in shaver like this.

Build quality is where the P3 Pro really shines. Everything about it feels expensive. The sandblasted aluminium has that cool, matte finish that reminds me of a MacBook, and the magnetic foil head snaps into place with a satisfying click. There's no plasticky feel anywhere here, it feels high-end, almost like an Apple gadget rather than a bathroom appliance.

The issue with all that metal is that it adds up. At 180g, it's heavier than you'd expect for something this small, and because the surfaces are so smooth, it can be a bit slippery when your hands are wet. I almost dropped it in the sink a couple of times before I worked out a proper grip.

It's also worth flagging that there's no pop-up trimmer, which is a shame. For sideburns and tidying around a beard line, you'll still need a separate tool. Given how compact the P3 Pro is, I get why Laifen left it out, but I'd love to see one on a future model.

The travel-friendly aspect is nicely thought through, though. There's a proper travel lock activated by a long press of the power button, the USB-C port is sealed with a sturdy rubber flap, and the whole thing slips into a wash bag without any drama. Just be aware that the travel pod is sold separately, which feels a bit cheeky at this price.

Laifen P3 Pro review: performance and features

So, does it actually shave well? In short, yes, and surprisingly so for a brand that's still relatively new to this category.

Laifen has gone with a dual linear motor setup, which it markets as 24,000 cuts per minute. The slightly nerdy reality is that each motor runs at 12,000 CPM, but the two work in opposition to cancel out vibration, and the result in your hand is genuinely impressive. There's none of that buzzy, rattly feel you get from cheaper shavers. It just hums along smoothly while at work.

The shaving head uses two foils plus a central slit trimmer for catching longer, flat-lying hairs. These foils are ridiculously thin at 0.055mm, and they're made from a low-nickel stainless steel, which is good news if you've ever had a reaction to dodgy metals on your face.

In day-to-day use, I found the P3 Pro one of the most comfortable foil shavers I've tried in a while. It glides over the skin without that scratchy, dragging feeling, and I didn't end up with any redness, razor burn or post-shave irritation, even when shaving against the grain on my neck. For anyone with sensitive skin, that alone is good news.

Closeness, while very good, isn’t exactly best-in-class. On the cheeks and neck, it gives a properly clean finish that lasts the day, but on thicker stubble around the chin and moustache, I felt it sometimes needed an extra pass or two to get it smooth. If you go four or five days between shaves, you might find yourself working a bit harder, but for daily or every-other-day use, it's spot on.

Cleaning is especially easy, too, thanks to the shaver’s magnetic head. You pull it off, rinse the lot under the tap, shake it dry, and you're done in under a minute. The whole shaver is IPX7 rated as well, so you can use it wet or dry, in the shower or over the sink, and not worry about it breaking. One small mystery: hair clippings barely seem to collect anywhere visible. The shaver always looks weirdly clean, even after a proper going-over. I'm not complaining, though! I just suspect these might turn up somewhere eventually.

Battery life is another top thing about this shaver. Laifen quotes around 100 minutes of cordless use per charge, and in my testing I actually got a fair bit more than that with normal everyday shaves. There's also a quick-charge feature that gives you roughly seven minutes of use from just three minutes plugged in, which is especially useful for those times when you've forgotten to charge it before a trip. USB-C charging means you can use the same cable as your phone or laptop, so there's one less faff to deal with when on the go.

Laifen P3 Pro review: verdict

The Laifen P3 Pro is one of those products that makes you wonder why the bigger brands haven't done the same sooner. The build quality is nothing short of exceptional for the money, and the shave itself is comfortable and consistent. I also am a big fan of the travel-friendly touches like USB-C, quick-charging and the travel lock all show that Laifen has actually thought about how people use these things day to day.

It isn't perfect, though. The lack of a pop-up trimmer is a real miss, and the metal-and-glass body can be slippery when wet. It’s also a massive shame that there’s no carry pouch included in the box, and an extra kick in the teeth that the travel pod costs extra - especially when the shaver is pitched as a travel companion.

If you've got thick stubble and you tend to leave shaving for several days, you might want a more aggressive shaver, but for daily or near-daily shavers who want something that looks the part, lasts ages between charges, and doesn't irritate the skin, the P3 Pro is a really easy recommendation.

It’s that time of year again when we start seeing a wave of best electric toothbrush launches, and one of the latest comes from a brand we only discovered recently – but already absolutely love. We tried the Quip Ultra last year and gave it four stars, so when a Lite version launched just a few months ago, we couldn’t wait to get our hands on it.

Before we get into it, it’s worth noting that Quip is a US brand, so those of us in the UK and Europe can’t access its products quite as easily. That said, there are international shipping options available, so it’s not completely out of reach if you’re keen to try it.

Below, you’ll find my full thoughts, and why this 'Lite' version might actually be the better choice for most people.

Price and availability

The Quip Ultra Lite has an RRP of $65 (around £48), although there’s also a refill plan that drops the upfront cost to $60. This includes a subscription for EasyClick Brush Pod refills every three months for $8 – which is the same price you’d pay for the refills anyway.

The toothbrush comes in four colours – Ash, Iris, Air and Meadow – and is available via Quip’s online store and Amazon. International shipping starts from around $15 (£11), which isn’t too bad all things considered.

Design and features

The Ultra Lite is a sonic electric toothbrush, making it a great option for anyone upgrading from manual brushing who still wants a powerful clean. Unlike its predecessor, which offered up to 10 modes, the Ultra Lite leans into simplicity with just three – Gentle, Daily and Deep Clean.

You still get all the essentials too, including a pressure sensor that gently buzzes if you’re brushing too hard, a two-minute timer with 30-second pulses, and an auto shut-off.

Battery life provides up to 30 days on a single charge, which makes it ideal for both everyday use and travel. Speaking of which, it also comes with a travel case, stand and mirror mount, as well as the charger. The case is plastic and doesn’t feel as premium as the original Ultra’s, but it does the job well.

One of Quip’s standout features is its EasyClick Brush Pod system. Each pod is designed to last around three months and can be easily swapped out, reducing waste compared to replacing larger brush components. It uses a secure tri-lock design, so whilst it takes a second to get used to, it feels sturdy and well thought-out once in place.

Design wise, the Ultra Lite sticks to Quip’s signature minimalist aesthetic. It has a soft silicone finish that feels great in the hand and can be fully washed without any issues. It’s also noticeably lightweight, and the handle design has been slightly tweaked, with a more rounded shape compared to the flatter oval design of the original Ultra.

Performance

The Quip Ultra Lite is absolutely fantastic, and I’ve loved using it throughout the entire testing period. By stripping things back, Quip has removed features that aren’t really essential, and focused on what actually matters day to day. At no point did I feel like I was missing Bluetooth connectivity or a wider range of modes, which I think says a lot.

After a few days of testing, I naturally settled into using the Daily Clean mode, which felt like the best balance for everyday use. Each time, my teeth felt properly clean without any effort, and the overall experience was consistent. The pressure sensor is very useful, and the two-minute timer with 30-second intervals helps keep things on track without being intrusive.

Everything worked reliably, even towards the end of the battery, which isn’t always a given with electric toothbrushes. The handle is also comfortable to hold, and the silicone finish feels premium compared to harder plastic designs.

Battery life is probably the most surprising part of the whole experience. Quip advertises up to 30 days, which is already decent, but in my testing it lasted closer to 50 days on a single charge. That makes a noticeable difference in terms of convenience – especially if you travel or just don’t want to think about charging another device. It’s easily one of the best battery performances I’ve seen from an electric toothbrush in a while.

Verdict

The Quip Ultra Lite is a brilliant electric toothbrush that focuses on what actually matters. By stripping back unnecessary features, it delivers a simple but effective cleaning experience with strong sonic performance, useful essentials like a pressure sensor and timer, and an impressively comfortable design. It also has an exceptional battery life and an budget-friendly price, making it a fantastic option for anyone who wants to upgrade from manual brushing without overcomplicating their routine.

Alternatives to consider

If you like the look of the Ultra Lite but think you’d benefit from more modes or smart connectivity, the standard Quip Ultra is still worth considering. It’s a bit pricier, but offers more advanced features whilst keeping the same sleek design.

For alternatives, the closest comparison I’ve come across is the SURI 2.0. It has a similar minimalist design and also includes thoughtful extras like a travel case and mirror mount.

Last year, Italian purveyors of luxurious scent, Acqua di Parma, unveiled Buongiorno. Since I first tested it, the scent has become a staple of my men's fragrance rotation, with a profile which is perfect for spring and summer, retaining the brand's classic DNA while managing to feel new.

Now, it has unveiled a new collection of scents inspired by the original. Acqua di Parma Buongiorno La Collezione consists of five different interpretations of the fragrance.

Each of the five is conceived as a skin scent, meaning we should be expecting massive silage. Still, at Eau de Parfum strength, they should have a bit of a kick – the original was perfect in that regard, and I'm expecting more of the same here.

Of the five, Buongiorno Al Bacio sounds the most familiar, with a distinctly citrussy profile which is very on brand. Expect top notes of bergamot, rosemary and petitgrain giving way to orange blossom and neroli, with a woody base.

Buongiorno Amore Mio takes on a more floral personality, with ambroxan, hedione and cotton flower. And Buongiorno Dolce Far Niente takes the brand's citrussy signature and leans it towards a traditional green scent.

Buongiorno Gioco del Destino does something similar, but with musky notes, but my pick of the bunch is Buongiorno Buonanotte. That packs in woods across the board, with pink pepper and bergamot on top and just a sliver of musk.

That one sounds like a treat, though all of them should make for nice additions to the collection of anyone who loved the original bottle. Priced at £257 (approx. €295 / US$340 / AU$495) for a 100ml bottle, these are a little more pricey than the original. There's also a gift set available with a 10ml vial of each of the five, which is perfect for experimenting with all of the new scents.

As T3’s Home Editor, I’ve covered style for years now, including hair removal and grooming devices. But I’m relatively new to the world of IPL machines which is why I was excited – albeit a little apprehensive – to try the Sensica Sensilight Mini.

For those unfamiliar with IPL hair removal machines, IPL stands for ‘intense pulse light’ and its different wavelengths of light target the hair’s pigment. As the light reaches the pigment, it heats in order to kill growing hair cells and follicles to reduce hair growth and thickness.

The Sensica Sensilight Mini advertises itself as an FDA-cleared reactive pulsed light device that offers permanent body and facial hair reduction. I spent a couple of months testing it to see if it was as effective as it promised, and I was pleasantly surprised – here’s how I got on.

Sensica Sensilight Mini review: set up

As a corded device, the Sensilight Mini doesn’t require any charging. The only main thing to do when setting up the Sensilight Mini is a preliminary test to ensure the device is safe for your skin.

IPL devices are safe to use for most skin types, but it’s said to work best for lighter skin tones – see this compatibility skin tone chart for more information. As someone who has a light skin tone with light-to-medium hair, I rated high in the compatibility chart but still wanted to test it to make sure it would be safe for my skin.

I tested the Sensilight Mini on my thigh as this area of my body doesn’t get as much hair. I went over a small area for a few zaps and left it for 48 hours before properly testing the device. I didn’t have any negative reaction so I was good to go.

Sensica Sensilight Mini review: design and features

Compared to other hair removal devices, the Sensica Sensilight Mini immediately attracted me as it’s small and fits comfortably in the hand – a marked change from the overly large alien-looking IPLs I’ve seen on the market. It looks more like an epilator than an IPL, and is best described as a corded, travel-friendly IPL device as you can take it with you to use on the go – although the plug and cord will have to come too!

The Sensilight Mini has a button on the back which allows you to customise the strength of the hair removal. Six intensity levels are available, and once you’ve picked the strength, you touch the Sensilight Mini to your skin and press the button at the top of the device.

A green light is shown at the front and top of the Sensilight Mini and it zaps in a bright white colour. When it’s ready to go again, the top LED light will go green which takes a couple of seconds. It doesn’t make a lot of noise but you can hear a gentle whirring.

The Sensilight Mini has a built-in skin tone tensor which activates flashes when the device is in full contact with suitable skin. It also automatically adjusts its power to suit skin and will disable flashes if it detects damaged skin.

The Sensilight Mini is designed to be used on legs, underarms, bikini line and even the face. It reduces hair growth over time, and is quick and gentle, although it does get hot.

Sensica Sensilight Mini review: performance

Once my preliminary test was out the way, I prepped my skin by shaving the areas I wanted to use the Sensilight Mini on a day before. On the day, I showered and dried my skin, leaving it free of any moisturiser or sprays.

I plugged in the Sensilight Mini and selected the lowest intensity level before pressing it against my armpits, up and down my legs, and around my bikini line. After my first session, I used the Sensilight Mini on the same areas two weeks later – as it recommends in the instructions manual – before using it once a week.

I found the process of using the Sensilight Mini very easy. The controls are simple and while I thought the device was a little chunky for my hands at times – I sometimes felt like I needed to use two hands to hold it and press the button – I found it easy enough to maneuver. It also got into awkward spots and crevices without any issue which I found impressive.

The light and zaps of the Sensilight Mini were insanely bright, and I felt like I needed to be wearing goggles to use it. I didn’t find the Sensilight Mini to be painful when in use but it does feel hot on the skin. It didn’t feel like it burnt but the device itself did get hot in places and took a while to cool down.

From the first initial test, I noticed my hair regrowth was extremely minimal straight away. This might be too much information – but hey, it’s best to be transparent! – but as a blonde, I don’t tend to grow thick or dark hair, although I do have to shave my underarms 1-2 times a week. I haven’t experienced that since using the Sensilight Mini and can now get by with having a quick shaving touch-up before my next IPL session.

I found the Sensilight Mini to work best on my legs and bikini area. I noticed very minimal regrowth in these areas which I appreciated. The Sensilight Mini was also easy to fit into my weekly routine and it made me feel more confident about managing my body hair.

Sensica Sensilight Mini review: verdict

The Sensilight Mini by Sensica is a compact, powerful IPL hair removal device that works best for leg hair and intimate areas. Despite its slightly chunky design, the Sensilight Mini is easy to hold, use and maneuver into even the trickiest of areas. I found my regrowth results to be extremely impressive and it’s become my go-to way to manage body hair.

Some people might prefer a cordless model which the Sensilight Mini is not, but the cable is long enough that you can easily plug it in wherever and whenever you want. The main issue I had was how bright the light was as it was extremely intense and left marks behind my eyes. But overall, the results of the Sensilight Mini were hard to beat.

Sensica Sensilight Mini review: alternatives to consider

The Braun Skin i-Expert Pro 7 has a similar design to the Sensilight Mini, although it is a lot more expensive. It holds the number one spot in our IPL guide as it offers fast and effective results, and smart features, like app guides.

If the idea of an IPL getting too hot worries you, the Ulike Air+ IPL Cooling Hair Removal Device is a great choice. Its hair removal is painless and cooling, and it has Sapphire Freezing technology that reduces skin irritation.

It's no secret the gourmand scents have taken over the world of men's fragrance in recent months. I've tested many, including Choco Loco and Indecent Cherry, both from Korean outfit Born to Stand Out.

Now, another player is entering the game – and it's doing so with a top note I'll bet you haven't tried before. That's because – as the name should suggest – Juliette Has a Gun's Banana Rush features a top note of ripe banana.

Now, if you're thinking that sounds a little peculiar... you're not wrong. There are some food-derived scents which are really popular, but banana certainly isn't one I've come across in my time testing fragrances. Still, I'm always one for trying something new, so let's give it a go.

From the first spray, that ripe banana is really going to hit you like a Donkey Kong sucker punch. There's really no other way to describe it, and it does leave a real mark on the skin.

Whether or not that's for you is going to come down to your tolerance – personally, I found that it wasn't too bad, and definitely made more agreeable by the sweet maple syrup alongside it. With that being said, it's probably more of an occasional wear than something which you'd use everyday.

Sat beneath that banana split of top notes is a heart of coconut and frangipani flower, and a base of vanilla and sandalwood. All of that adds up to the best bit of this scent – the drydown.

See, while some of that sweet maple syrup sticks around for a while, the banana burns off over the first couple of hours. Once it does, the result is altogether more palatable, and something which could sit on the skin for hours without intruding.

It reminds me ever so slightly of Better World Fragrance House Summer Mink which I tested recently. That one was similarly profiled – albeit without the banana – and sits as a warm, slightly feminine-leaning scent, which can be enjoyed by those of all genders.

Whether or not you opt to buy a bottle of this will likely come down to how tolerant you are of the banana. It'll be a deal breaker for some, but if you fancy something different, this is worth a try.

Gillette has announced the launch of its new GilletteLabs Body + Intimate range, designed specifically for shaving and trimming below the neck, including more sensitive and intimate areas.

The new lineup includes four main grooming tools, including three body trimmers and a dedicated body razor. There’s also a 2-in-1 shaving cream, formulated with menthol and aloe to help soothe and hydrate the skin during shaving.

The GilletteLabs Body + Intimate range is available now exclusively at Bootsand the Gillette website. Prices start at £59.99 for the entry-level body trimmer, whilst the body razor costs £23.99. A wider national rollout is expected in July 2026.

Ahead of the launch, Gillette carried out its own research and found that many men still use the best body groomers for both their face and body, which can often lead to irritation or minor injuries. The new range is designed to tackle that problem by offering tools built specifically for body grooming, helping men achieve a more comfortable and controlled shave.

At the top of the lineup is the i7 Body Trimmer, which features a built-in LED light to improve visibility in harder-to-see areas. All the trimmers also come with ergonomic handles designed to provide better grip and control in the shower. Meanwhile, the body razor uses a Triple Defense System to help reduce irritation and minimise ingrown hairs.

As T3's resident tester of men's fragrance, I've been hard at work hunting down the best bargains to be had right now. There are some killer bottles included here, with a range of top tier brand's now available with hefty chunks slashed from the price tag.

Coach has unveiled its latest men’s fragrance, fronted by musician and Coach Global Ambassador Omar Apollo in his first campaign with the brand. Named Coach Pure Platinum, the scent is said to capture the sophistication and charm of Coach’s hometown, New York City.

Coach hasn’t released a huge number of the best men's fragrances compared to other fashion houses, but its Coach For Men Eau de Parfum has proven particularly popular within the range. It’ll be interesting to see where Coach Pure Platinum lands, especially as the brand says it stands out thanks to its more intense parfum concentration.

“I’ve enjoyed the process of developing Coach Pure Platinum,” says Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers. “I think fragrance is one of the most personal forms of self-expression – it has the power to transport you and tell a story. Pure Platinum draws on the romance and energy of the city, and everything it makes you feel.”

The fragrance opens with a vibrant blend of lavender oil, mandarin oil and apple, before moving into a warmer heart of rum absolute, orange flower and moss. The base brings lasting depth with ambrox, labdanum resinoid and cedarwood heart oil, giving the scent a rich and long-lasting finish.

It's housed in a sleek gunmetal-finished bottle, featuring the signature Coach Horse and Carriage emblem sculpted into the glass. It’s finished with a black leather hangtag and gunmetal plate, whilst the outer packaging features a woven leather texture and glossy black Coach logo.

Coach Pure Platinum is priced at £86/€106 for 90ml, with 50ml and 30ml sizes also available. It's currently available to buy at Fragrance House and Flannels from today.

In 2026, Acqua di Parma is celebrating its 110th birthday. It's a remarkable milestone, and one which I'm certain will involve a lot of celebrations throughout the year.

To kick things off, back in January, the brand unveiled a new scent called Colonia Il Profumo Millesimato. Based on Colonia Il Profumo – which itself is based on the original Acqua di Parma Colonia – this men's fragrance takes a classic and makes everything feel a little extra luxurious.

The bottle makes use of a very specific harvest of ylang ylang, which is taken from a single island in Madagascar called Nosy Be. The 2024 harvest is used, specifically, which is renowned for its complexity and fullness.

In use, I'm not sure the average nose would be well-equipped enough to pick that out, though it's the attention to detail and luxurious 'nothing but the best' attitude which really shines. I don't need to be able to pick out the exact fruity note of ylang ylang which would be missing with any other sub-par harvest, simply to know that it's there.

On my skin, this scent is a remarkable blend. The classic citrus top notes are all present and correct – would it really be Acqua di Parma without them? – but there's a refinement here which definitely feels another step on from the original.

In fact, the 'standard' Colonia is one of my most worn scents, so I feel pretty well qualified to compare the two. That bottle is pokier, with notes which make themselves felt much more quickly.

Millesimato, by comparison, is reserved. The floral notes at the heart of this bottle smooth everything over, making less of an initial statement and instead inviting the wearer to explore how it changes and develops over time. Perhaps, after 110 years, this is Colonia all grown up.

Priced at £200 (approx. €230 / US$270 / AU$380) for the 100ml bottle at the time of writing, this sits neatly in the brands catalogue. Pricey? Sure. But you get what you pay for in this world, and Acqua di Parma is always an investment in a better you.

If you're a fan of men's fragrance, you'll be well aware of the brand Creed. Perhaps best known for scents like Aventus and Green Irish Tweed, the brand enjoys a storied history which kicked off with a pair of scented leather gloves back in 1760.

Another popular pick from the brand's catalogue is Original Vetiver, which was launched back in 2004. Now, the brand has unveiled a sibling to that scent called Wild Vetiver – and it sounds like the perfect modern accompaniment to the Original.

As you'd expect from the name, this one sits on a base of vetiver, as well as cedarwood and amberwood. That should give a delightfully green base, full of earth and wood notes, which is perfect for spring and summer.

In the middle, things start to get a little different to the Original bottle, with rose, geranium and blackcurrant. While the florals should work to pull things into a more unisex arena, its the Blackcurrant which really interests me.

That's a prominent note in Ralph Lauren's Ralph Club New York, which has been one of my most worn scents of 2026 so far. At the top, timur, bergamot and pink pepper retain a citrussy opening, though perhaps not in quite the same way as the Original.

I haven't had the opportunity to try Wild Vetiver just yet, but fragrance journalist and author of Notes on Substack, Nick Carvell, has. He said, "That woody, grassy vetiver note is strong here, but rather than classically dry and aromatic, it's juicy and fresh.

"Bold and intensely summery – like you're in an English cottage garden during a heatwave, quenching your thirst with a glass of fresh lemonade while lying on the lawn."

If that doesn't make you want to try it, I'm not sure what will.

Priced at £220 (approx. €250 / US$295 / AU$420) for a 50ml bottle, and £310 (approx. €355 / US$415 / AU$590) for the 100ml bottle, this is going to make a killer addition to your scent rotation for the coming months.

There is no shortage of manual razors competing for a place alongside the usual electric razor picks, so it takes something genuinely different to stand out.

Where this model earns its keep is the trimming attachment. In my testing, it worked well on beard hair, feeling smooth and sharp, and it made light maintenance easier than a normal razor alone.

For tidying edges, keeping short growth in check, or making quick touch-ups between fuller shaves, it adds a level of control that a bog-standard razor simply does not offer. There was a little irritation, but nothing serious, and for someone who generally prefers an electric razor, this sits on the better end of the manual spectrum.

It still does not challenge a proper electric trimmer, and if that is your usual preference, this is unlikely to replace it. Even so, for the money, it offers more flexibility than most razors, and that makes it an easy one to like.

Without question, the standout feature on this toothbrush is the incorporation of dual-wavelength light therapy into the brush heads, which Bon Charge says is 'a new frontier in oral hygiene designed to support gum health and promote overall oral wellbeing.’

Each replaceable brush head features six LEDs, including 3 x red light at 660nm wavelengths and 3 x invisible near-infrared light at 830nm wavelengths – which shine through the soft, durable and transparent bristles for optimal light penetration at the gum line.

Bon Charge says these two types of precision-engineered light have been specifically chosen because they ‘use the most effective wavelengths to boost gum health’, and on paper, the inclusion of red light is a no-brainer because it is clinically proven to reduce inflammation (the brand cites one study that shows up to 90% of people experience some level of gum inflammation).

Moreover, red light at 660nm is the wavelength known to penetrate surface tissues like skin (and, according to Bon Charge, gums) to stimulate cell activity, improve circulation and support healing, while invisible near-infrared light at 830nm – associated with increasing cellular function and boosting blood circulation – is able to ‘penetrate deeper to reach the cells beneath’ and ‘energize gum tissue’.

Together, Bon Charge says these two wavelengths ‘shine into the gumline to boost cellular energy production (ATP), supporting gum recovery with every use,’ while also providing a ‘layered, inside-out approach to gum support and oral wellness.’ Sounds great. But does it work?

When it comes to assessing the performance of the Bon Charge Red Light Toothbrush, I’ve got to admit I’ve had a bit of a hard time deciding whether the addition of LED in an electric toothbrush is the best thing to happen to at-home oral care in a decade or a bit of a gimmick.

To be crystal clear, I am a firm believer in the healing power of red light therapy (RLT) – or photobiomodulation (PBM), to give it its scientific name – having tested it in various types of tech for a number of years.

In addition to the many studies I’ve read supporting the benefits of RLT, I have personally seen evidence of its anti-ageing benefits when I’ve compared my own ‘before and after’ images following the use of LED face masks and gadgets like the Currentbody Skin LED Lip Perfector, and I’ve also felt its recovery benefits post-workout after trying red light beds, panels and wands all designed to boost blood flow and reduce pain and inflammation.

However, while I do understand the theory behind the inclusion of red light in an electric toothbrush to improve gum health, I do feel a journalistic responsibility to point out that there is a lack of scientific evidence to support the suggestion that a red light toothbrush is genuinely effective at reducing inflammation, and this is only compounded by the fact that this is the first-ever red light toothbrush on the market.

Bon Charge naturally justify the device’s creation by highlighting peer-reviewed laboratory studies on human gum cells which show that ‘brief repeated exposure to red and infrared light can help support gum cell viability and healthy cellular response’ (you can see the study here). But the study also says that the effectiveness of PMB depends on a combination of parameters, such as energy density, duration, frequency and wavelength.

With this in mind, I admit I did initially wonder whether a device such as a red light toothbrush could be nearly as effective as something like a red light gum shield-type device (yep, they exist), or a red light face mask, both of which are usually worn in place for anything from three to 20 minutes.

Why? Because a toothbrush is generally only used for two minutes at a time, and it is constantly moved to different areas of the mouth, meaning some areas of gum might only be exposed to LED light for a matter of seconds (although using it twice a day would immediately double the amount of light exposure).

Clearly, I had some doubts about whether the Bon Charge Red Light Toothbrush would deliver on its promises, but any misgivings I may have had have now been dismissed, because I am positive it has helped to reduce several symptoms of gum inflammation.

I honestly believe I have seen fewer signs of bleeding gums when I’ve spat out my toothpaste, and I genuinely feel like the inside of my mouth (which can be susceptible to ulcers during times of stress) and my gums feel less sore and irritated, and look less red and puffy … I just can’t prove it with any data or ‘before and after’ pics unfortunately.

To be clear, any areas of receding gums I already have are not growing back, and I have no idea whether my mouth is now a more ‘balanced oral environment’. But the toothbrush does an excellent job of cleaning and polishing my teeth thoroughly, and the addition of red light means I can conveniently expose my gums to red light while cleaning them, without adding another step into my day.

So, would I recommend buying the Bon Charge Red Light Toothbrush? Absolutely, if you suffer from gum inflammation (or want to prevent it), and you are in the market for a new electric toothbrush that does as good a job of cleaning your teeth as any other premium electric toothbrush on the market.

Crucially, that top never really falls away. As I write this, I'm about seven hours post-spray, and those notes still sit proudly when you catch a whiff.

What does change as it develops is the complexity of the scent. Those top notes move from being the whole story into the icing on the cake, with others of burnt sugar, caramel and vanilla offering more to love here.

On my skin, it becomes a lot more balanced with time, losing the dark-leaning character from earlier in the spray to sit a lot more neutrally. That makes it a surprisingly solid choice for everyday wear – your co-worker won't be choking on dark chocolate notes by the time you've made it to the office.

With a 50ml bottle of the Eau de Parfum priced at £173 (approx. €200 / US$235 / AU$340) this one certainly doesn't come cheap. But frankly, you were wrong to think it ever would – the brand is hotter than ever right now, and this price is in keeping with the other products it offers.

Overall, I've been pleasantly surprised by this one. It had every opportunity to let me down, with the kind of overbearing chocolate aroma you know from M&M World. But that's not what this is – instead, Choco Loco ensures you'll always leave the house smelling good enough to eat.

Few of us will live to see our 110th birthday, showcasing just how big of an event such an occasion is. For Acqua di Parma, 2026 marks 110 years since the brand crafted its first scent, and there looks set to be a lot of commotion coming from them to celebrate.

Things have kicked off today, with a commemorative edition of the Acqua di Parma Colonia Il Profumo scent. Dubbed Colonia Il Profumo Millesimato, the commemorative edition of this popular men's fragrance makes use of a single harvest of ylang-ylang from Madagascar's Nosy Be island.

The 2024 harvest is renowned for its complexity, grown in the perfect tropical climate to develop fully. Expect fruity notes and subtle, spicey undertones here.

When compared to other scents in the range, like the original Acqua di Parma Colonia and the more recent Colonia Il Profumo release, Millesimato is described as a "new way of seeing the same subject". So while there's definitely some other layers here, expect a lot of the same goodness which will have drawn you to the brand in the first place.

Beyond that lovely ylang-ylang, users can expect top notes of blood orange, grapefruit and bergamot, middle notes of orange leaf and rosemary, and base notes of vetiver and patchouli.

Acqua di Parma: The Art of Living Italian

To coincide with the release, the brand has also created a new campaign called The Art of Living Italian. That takes the art of slow living and reminds its audience that anyone can live that way – no Italian heritage required.

The campaign features actors, Michael Fassbender and Sabrina Impacciatore, as they move through the streets of Parma, where the brand was born. Fassbender sums it up beautifully, saying, "Sophistication, beauty and elegance lie in simplicity. For me, that is what personifies Italy and brings Italian philosophy to life."

If you're a fan of luxurious men's fragrance, you'll certainly know Acqua di Parma. The Italian brand is steeped in history, and is set to celebrate a landmark year in 2026.

To kick off that period, it has collaborated with the Shanghai-based artist, Lea Woo, to create a unique packaging design which celebrates the Lunar New Year. This year is the Year of the Horse, and the packaging has been reimagined to reflect that, complete with horseshoes and prancing stallions.

The new collection revolves around a scent which is unlikely to be familiar to many. Magnolia Infinita comes from the brand's Signatures of the Sun collection, and is usually described as a feminine scent.

It features the brand's signature citrussy top end, complete with notes of bergamot, lemon and orange. That will be familiar to anyone who has used other scents from the brand, like Colonia, which also boast a range of citrus top notes.

The middle takes a turn, though, with a range of floral notes. That's most notably magnolia, but also features rose, ylang-ylang and jasmine.

All of that sits on a base of musk and patchouli, which should help to level things out somewhat. It's a profile which definitely won't be for the ultra masculine scent lovers out there, but I'd expect anyone a little more adventurous could get away with it.

The new, limited edition bottle is available in store at both Harrods and Selfridges, and a 100ml Eau de Parfum strength bottle will set you back £257 (approx. €295 / US$350 / AU$515).

That's certainly not cheap, but as luxury fragrances go, it's not too bad, either. Throw in the limited edition nature and the snazzy box design and I can see this one being a hit for collectors of all shapes and sizes. It's the perfect way to kick off a big year for the brand.

Oral-B is going for gold with its latest electric toothbrush. The Oral-B iO10 has just been given a fun colour upgrade, including a new display and icons to make it smarter than ever – but the price will shock you.

Autumn is a wonderful time of year. The leaves turn brown, the temperatures drop and dashing Hawaiian shirts make way for funky knitwear and heavy coats.

In the wonderful world of men's fragrance, it's also an exciting time. Each season has a defining characteristic, and autumn is a perfect breeding ground for woods, spices and other warm scented notes.

I've raided the best bits of my personal fragrance collection and some wonderful bottles I've tried, to create this list of the best fragrances you can wear through the 'ber months.

1. DS and Durga Brown Flowers

If ever a fragrance has begged for an autumn wear, it's Brown Flowers. A range of floral notes compose the various layers of this bottle, and while that may not be the most traditional masculine olfactory experience, it works really well.

It will be something of an acquired taste for some, but if you can find a way to love it, it's worth every penny.

2. Acqua di Parma Gelsomino a Freddo

If Brown Flowers turns the autumnal vibes up to 100%, Gelsomino a Freddo takes things back a notch. That's no bad thing, though – the result is much easier to wear on a regular basis.

It also retains just a hint of the citrussy goodness which the brand is famed for, ensuring it's a great fit for Acqua di Parma lovers looking for something a little different.

3. Goldfield and Bank Ingenious Ginger

While not the strictest of autumnal scents, Ingenious Ginger is one I'll be making fine use of in the coming months. That sprightly ginger top note leads the charge, but sitting on a base of citruses and amber leaves an altogether more rounded profile on the nose.

It's going to be perfect for giving my day a little added fizz.

4. Mind Games Kingside

Mind Games Kingside is a superb fragrance that I'm certain will take on new life in colder climates. The fusion of pistachio and hazelnut notes are a triumph, and help to ensure a real warmth, which maintaining a level of uniqueness and personality.

It's certainly not cheap, but don't believe some of the sourness you read online – it's worth every penny.

5. Brioni Eau de Parfum Suave

Eau de Parfum Suave is a personal favourite of mine, and it really does shine across autumn and into winter. Effortlessly sophisticated, this mix of woods, amber and leather feels like the quintessential masculine scent.

It might not be on your radar yet, but November is creeping up fast, which can only mean one thing... Movember is coming. Yet, many men leave it to the last minute, and that’s when problems start.

With just over six weeks to go, experts warn that leaving things until the last minute can lead to uneven, patchy growth and irritated skin – so starting early is key to growing a Movember moustache you’ll actually be proud of.

We’ve therefore gathered insights from the barbers on the Fresha app, the UK’s top-rated platform for booking barber appointments, who are urging men across the country to start prepping now.

What are the barbers saying?

One Fresha barber explained:

“Facial hair grows on average about half an inch a month, so if you don’t start now, you’ll struggle to get an even moustache by November. Many men also find the first few weeks the most uncomfortable, it can itch, cause ingrown hairs, and look patchy if you’re not prepared.”

What happens if you leave it too late?

If you leave your Movember prep until the last minute, you’re likely to run into a few common problems. Patchy growth is one of the biggest issues, as starting late doesn’t give your hairs enough time to fill in, leaving noticeable gaps. The early stages of growth can also bring itchy, irritated skin, which is often enough to make some men give up before their moustache has a chance to flourish.

Skipping proper exfoliation and moisturising increases the risk of painful ingrown hairs, and without enough length, your styling options are limited to the basics. Using one of the best electric shavers to clean up edges and maintain shape can help, but even the best grooming tools can’t fix a moustache that hasn’t been given time to grow properly.

Barbers’ top tips for Movember prep

1. Start growing early

Give your facial hair a few extra weeks to grow in evenly before November, ensuring your moustache looks full and uniform.

2. Prep the skin

Exfoliating and moisturising your upper lip helps reduce itch, irritation and the likelihood of ingrown hairs, making the early stages much more comfortable.

If you're at all familiar with my men's fragrance reviews here at T3, you'll know I'm a big lover of citrus scents. Bursting forward with sprightly notes of orange, lemon, lime and more, these bottle are a cornerstone of suave scent.

Recently, I got my hands of a bottle of Oratorio from Czech fragrance house, Pigmentarium. The brand was started in 2018, and is a small, family-run business, which seeks to use sustainable methods and local produce.

With a catalogue that now spans no less than eight different scents, I was intrigued to see what all the fuss was about. The bottle and packaging certainly don't give too much away, either – it's clean and minimal, with a white box, clear bottle, simple labelling and a wooden top.

Such a distinct lack of flair leaves all of the wow factor to the fragrance itself. And from the first spritz of Oratorio, I was hooked.

Mandarin is the key note here. It bounds from the atomiser like a thing possessed, and really fills the room without much trying. It's paired with neroli at the top end for a real orange treat.

That offers some real longevity, too. Sure, the silage does start to tail off after about 20 minutes or so – it really develops into more of a skin scent, thereafter – but those fresh notes never disappear.

Instead, heart notes of cedar and jasmine enter the fray, to add a second layer to things. The combination is really interesting – other reviewers note anything from cola to fir trees here. My experience is definitely closer to the former than the latter, though there's still more citrus than anything else.

Opoponax and patchouli sit at the base of this one. They're not especially pokey in their own rights, but tie everything together with a little bit of spice and greenness.

Overall, it's a really well concocted scent. I'd love for the projection to have been a little stronger, but only because it smells so good. And hey, this way it's just my little secret.

If you've already got a collection of men's fragrances, you might find that you're struggling to find something different enough to warrant splashing the cash on. Once you've got something woody, something fresh and citrussy, something oudy... the variations can start to feel a lot more subtle.

Fortunately, there are all manner of smaller brands making some really interesting scents to tempt you from your disposable income. That includes the fragrance I've been testing lately – Mind Games Kingside.

For those unfamiliar with the brand, Mind Games is a luxury fragrance house which draws a lot of inspiration from the game of chess. Each of its scents, the brand says, mirrors the significance of every move a player makes in the game.

There's already a wide array of bottles on offer, and this one has a fairly unique scent profile, which should make it a useful addition to a lot of different collections. Chances are you don't already have something like this.

The top notes burst forward with a strong pistachio note. It's really creamy, and makes up the bulk of the early presence this bottle offers. Cardamom and grapefruit notes are also present, though much less prominent than that pistachio.

Things get even more nutty as the scent starts to evolve. The middle notes are led but hazelnut, which blends really nicely with the pistachio. Neither fade especially quickly, so you'll be able to enjoy that blend for a while, too.

The middle also enjoys notes of rum and peony, which are definitely more present than the cardamom and grapefruit at the top. That peony, in particular, offers a really sweet side to this scent.

The base notes introduce almond milk, tonka bean and woodiness, but its the three nutty notes which stand proud. It's almost certainly unlike anything else you've smelled.

The bottles are seriously luxurious too. They're heavy duty, with magnetic tops which click into place. You'll feel extra suave with this. The price may be a little steeper than some others, but for the right person, this is absolutely worthwhile.

If you think of Acqua di Parma, chances are you're thinking of its Colonia range of men's fragrances. The brand has been synonymous with citrus for as long as it has been in business, creating a solid scent profile that embodies a wide array of its products.

That makes it a great pick for the fresher spring and summer months, but can be a little to sparkly and bright for the colder, wetter autumnal and winter seasons. Fortunately, the brand has launched a new scent to pick up the slack in those months of the year.

Acqua di Parma's Gelsomino a Freddo is a new addition to the brand's catalogue, and from the first time you lay eyes on the scent profile, you'll know this one is a little different. Aside from a lemon note at the top of this one, things are notably not citrussy, which is a stark departure from things like Buongiorno and Colonia.

Fortunately, that lemon note bursts forward on the first spray, to keep you feeling right at home. It's like a warm, Italian blanket, and it really does help to bed in the rest of the scent.

As those top notes die away, the heart of florals comes to life. It's definitely a collection of notes which are less prevalent in the world of men's fragrance, but it's a welcome change here. The overall floweriness of the scent is tempered anyway – pink pepper notes help to keep things from getting too overbearing.

The dry down here is possibly the most interesting bit. A suite of woods and patchouli notes emerge at the base, which couple with the long lasting florals to create a really interesting mix. For me, the lingering experience evokes everything from a boutique sweet shop to the gentle decay of autumn leaves.

It's something I'd place in a similar wheelhouse to DS & Durga's Brown Flowers, actually. While they're definitely not the same olfactory experience, they offer something similar overall – like twins separated at birth and, as such, each shaped by a different environment.

Ordo has carved out a strong reputation for delivering affordable electric toothbrushes that don’t compromise on performance – its best-seller, the Ordo Sonic+, is a prime example at just £60. However, when you try to dip below that price point, the market becomes disappointing. Cheaper brushes often feel flimsy, lack staying power, or simply don’t deliver the kind of clean you actually want.

That’s where Ordo has stepped in with a clever solution. The Sonic Edge is the brand’s most budget-friendly brush to date, coming in at only £14.99. Ordo has now proven that affordable doesn't have to mean basic, and from what I’ve seen so far, it looks like it's nailed it.

Before we get into more details, the Sonic Edge is already on sale at Ordo’s online store and through retailers like Morrisons, Tesco, Amazon and Boots.

Despite its tiny price tag, it's clear this brush isn’t cutting corners. It’s travel-friendly, dentist-approved, and uses sonic technology to deliver powerful vibrations straight to the brush head. That means a deeper clean, plaque removal, and toothpaste pushed right between teeth for healthier results.

One of the standout features is USB-C charging, which is one of my favourite features about the SURI 2.0. A single charge also lasts over six weeks, which puts it right up there with some of the best electric toothbrushes on the market.

To top it off, Ordo’s made the Sonic Edge fun too. It comes in seven bold colours – Snow, Charcoal, Peach Sunrise, Pink Paradise, Fiji Fusion, Lime Sorbet and Cobalt Breeze – so you can pick a style that actually matches your taste.

Laifen has already made a name for itself with some of the sleekest electric toothbrushes and hair dryers around, thanks to its instantly recognisable design. Just last year, it launched the world’s first titanium electric toothbrush at IFA – and now the brand is back with something new.

This time, Laifen is expanding into grooming tech with the launch of two electric shavers – the compact T1 Pro Electric Razor for precise shaving and the more powerful P3 Pro Electric Razor for tackling thicker beards. Both are IPX7 waterproof, work for wet or dry shaving, and come with a magnetic shaving head that pops off easily for quick cleaning.

Pricing starts at €129.99 for the T1 Pro (Stubble Edition) and €159.99 for the Standard Edition, whilst the P3 Pro comes in at €199.99. Both will be available mid-September via Laifen’s online store and Amazon, with UK/US pricing yet to be revealed.

Laifen’s new shavers share the same sleek aluminium unibody design and precise CNC machining, but they’re built for slightly different needs. The T1 Pro keeps things light at just 93 g with a minimalist T-shaped single-blade design and a 12,000-cuts-per-minute motor. It offers up to 120 minutes of battery life and ultra-fast charging (one minute gives you eight minutes of use) which puts it amongst the best electric shavers in terms of usability.

The P3 Pro, on the other hand, doubles the power with dual motors delivering 24,000 cuts per minute, a three-blade system, and a premium watch-inspired housing that even shows off the motor through a window. It weighs in at 179 g, runs for 100 minutes, and gives you seven minutes of shave time from a three-minute charge.

After being at T3 for just over two years, one of the questions I get asked the most is what’s the best product you’ve ever reviewed? My answer has stayed the same – first, the Sleepeezee Centurial 03 mattress because it literally changed my sleep, and second, the SURI 1.0 Sustainable Toothbrush. I’m not exaggerating – since I tried it last year, I’ve managed to get half my family onto one, and they all love it just as much as I do.

So, you can imagine my excitement when SURI confirmed a second generation was on the way, and once again, I was lucky enough to try it early.

Unlike many second-gen products, the SURI 2.0 keeps the things that made the first one brilliant, whilst fixing the areas that needed improvement. Honestly, I wasn’t sure the brand would manage another five-star showing... but here we are.

SURI 2.0 review: price and availability

The SURI 2.0 is priced at £105, just £10 more than the original, and now comes as a single package with the UV travel case included. I think that was the right call, as most of the best electric toothbrushes come with a travel case anyway, so this feels like the new standard.

It’s available in the same five sleek colours too, and whilst Sunset Bloom is still my favourite, I’ve been testing Morning Waves this time.

Yes, it’s more expensive than your average electric toothbrush, but given what’s included, I’d happily pay it.

SURI 2.0 review: design and features

Inside the box you’ll find the brush itself, a recyclable head – identical to the originals, so any spares you have will still fit – and the magnetic mirror mount. On top of that, there are three thoughtful new extras, including a redesigned travel case that now has a built-in battery to power the UV-C light, a plant-based brush cap, and a sleek charging stand.

The travel case, in particular, feels like a proper upgrade. I rarely used the UV-C function before because plugging it was extra effort, but its own battery makes it a lot more effortless.

As for the brush itself, the big new feature is a pressure sensor – something many people complained about with the first version. If you push too hard, it buzzes three times before pausing, resuming once you ease off. You can also disable it if you prefer, but for me it’s been a game changer.

The motor is also slightly quieter, whilst still delivering the same 33,000 BPM that worked so well the first time around. Battery life is unchanged too, which I was very happy about indeed.

SURI 2.0 review: performance

This might sound like a bit of a cop out, but I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about the SURI 2.0’s performance. I know 33,000 BPM isn’t enough for some people, but for me a gentler brush is perfect, and I’m glad SURI didn’t try to change that. The battery life is also just as good as the original, giving me around a month on a single charge, which is still one of the best I’ve come across.

However, the real star of the update is the new pressure sensor, and I’m not sure how I loved the first model so much without it. As someone who prefers a lighter brush, it’s a great safety net for those moments when I accidentally push too hard. I tested it a few times, and it worked exactly as it should, even if my own brushing meant it didn’t kick in too often.

Travelling with the 2.0 has also been better thanks to the new case. Being able to use the UV light without faffing around with a cable is a very welcome change. The wireless charging stand is another great addition, and it feels more secure than the pin plate on the original.

If I’m nitpicking, the only thing I wish is that the brush would fit in the case with the plant-based cap still on, just for a tidier all-in-one option. I found myself having to choose between either the case or the cap when travelling, just so I wouldn't lose the cap when on the move.

That said, my teeth always felt properly clean throughout testing without my gums taking a beating, and that’s what really matters. There’s honestly nothing I can fault here.

SURI 2.0 review: verdict

All in all, the SURI 2.0 takes everything that made the first version so special and makes it even better. The redesigned travel case and new charging stand make it easier than ever to use at home or on the go, whilst the addition of a pressure sensor feels like the missing piece. I did find myself wishing the brush fit in the case with the cap on, but that’s a minor grumble in what’s otherwise a near-perfect package. The SURI 2.0 firmly cements the brand as one of my all-time favourites, and I’m already excited to see where it goes next.

SURI 2.0 review: alternatives to consider

If you’re on a tighter budget, I’d still happily recommend the SURI 1.0. It may not have the new pressure sensor or the upgraded travel case, but it’s still a brilliant option if you’re after a straightforward, sustainable brush that does the job really well.

If you do want extra bells and whistles, then something like the Philips Sonicare 7100 might tempt you. It comes loaded with smart features, more brushing modes, and a premium feel that really matches its high price tag. However, I didn't find that the tech added that much to my everyday brushing routine, so it's about your priorities.

While many of us bearded blokes will opt for an electric shaver to perfect our grooming routine, there's still space in every bathroom cabinet for a solid, traditional razor. In my experience, the old school is still best when it comes to a neat, close shave, and the old Harry's razor has been the best I've found.

When I was first told about Harry's Plus, I was certainly intrigued. With the promise of a new pivoting head system which offers the best shave the brand has ever made.

Needless to say, I had to get my hands on one to see what all of the fuss was about. My first impression was definitely mixed, too – while the metal handle feels reassuringly weighty, the new head doesn't look all that different at first glance.

Fortunately, we were all taught the dangers of judging books by their covers from an early age. In use, Harry's Plus delivered the best shave I've ever had.

The closeness of the shave is exceptional, with the pressure exerted from the new head ensuring every contour of your face gets the same cut. It's a really well-designed product, and feels substantially more luxurious than razors you'd buy off the shelf at the supermarket.

Elsewhere, you'll find a trimmer on the rear of the head – just as you did on the previous model – which is great for shaping your style. The added heft of the new handle makes it much easier to make nuanced movements, too, which is great for a controlled shave. There are three different finish options to pick from – tide (blue), onyx (black) and clay (red).

Available exclusively on the Harry's website, and priced at £11 (approx. €12.50 / US$15 / AU$22.50) for the handle, a blade and a travel blade cover, the set offers decent value. That should come as no surprise, though – its entire ethos has been offering quality at affordable prices.

If you're in need of a new razor for clean shaving, the Harry's Plus system is just about the best buy on the market.

In the wonderful world of men's fragrance, few brands hold the heritage and cachet of Acqua di Parma. The Italian stalwarts have been around for over a century, building a case for itself among the upper echelons of scent.

Best known for its Colonia scent – which is as old as the company itself – the brand is characterised by its authentic Italian charm and sprightly, citrus-led profiles.

Now, there's a new face in the pack. Acqua di Parma Gelsomino a Freddo is the latest addition to the brand's fragrance collection, and is designed to celebrate the time required to craft a truly brilliant product.

Here, jasmine flowers are hand-placed onto purified shea butter, where its essence is slowly released over a period of 48 hours. That's repeated multiple times, with fresh flowers replacing spent ones until the butter is fully infused with the essential oil of the flower.

The overall profile here is one of much deeper complexity than you might think. Perfumer, Daphne Bugey, said, "Creating this fragrance presented a double challenge – balancing the contrasting elements while elevating the jasmine was the first, and creating a genderless jasmine fragrance was the second, finding the middle ground between the floral and woody elements of the composition.”

That sits beneath top notes of lemon, pink pepper and artemesia, which offer a zesty opening to proceedings. That should ensure a good portion of the signature Acqua di Parma DNA is present and correct, with a citrussy first hit.

That sits atop a neat blend of woods and floral notes, for what should be a really interesting olfactory experience. I'm personally really excited to try this one. If the brand has balanced the base and middle notes effectively, this could be one of the classiest bottles in the brand's range – and there is stiff competition there!

Available in 12ml, 50ml, 100ml and 180ml EDP bottles, as well as in a candle, a diffuser, a body wash and a body cream, there's a lot of different ways to enjoy this scent.

As someone who tests a lot of men's fragrances, I'm blessed to have a pretty full collection of bottles to choose from. And while that's quite handy – there's never a dull day, and always the right scent for any occasion – I often wonder what I'd do if it were all to disappear overnight.

Well, wonder no more. I've given it some thought, and I've narrowed it down to five bottles which I'd use to kick start my collection again should the worst happen.

Let's start with an obvious choice. Acqua di Parma Colonia has been around since 1916, and there's a good reason why it has lasted that long. Simple, elegant and effective – this is far and away my most worn bottle throughout the spring and summer months.

This is absolutely where I'd start things off.

Up next is a more recent bottle I've tested. As part of my miniature fragrances feature, I got my hands on a teeny weeny bottle of Tom Ford's Bitter Peach.

It quickly became a favourite for me, and I'd absolutely take on a full size bottle for more frequent use. It might not be an everyday pick, but when you fancy something a little more leftfield, it's a solid bottle to have on the stand.

Another I have only tried in miniature, Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Male Elixir is one of the most popular men's fragrances out there. It's not hard to see why, either.

From the first spray, this feels like everything is right where it needs to be. It's elegant, masculine and youthful, but never feels like it leans too far one way or another. The perfect everyday option – especially as the mercury drops.

If Le Male Elixir is intended to be the star player in this setup, Invictus is the eager super sub, ready to take the reigns when needed. While the two aren't all that similar in terms of profile, they're both easy-wearing masculine bottles which would be perfect for daily use.

Invictus offers a lighter profile, which could even make it a more attractive prospect for the office.

There's nothing better than the smell of freshly cut grass throughout the warmer months, and you can have that on your skin thanks to this exclusive DS & Durga bottle.

Crush Balls was made to celebrate the Wimbledon Championships, and smells like a glorious walk through a freshly mown meadow. It's another which would probably be used more sparingly, but when you fancy a good green scent, there are few better than this.

If you're a fan of trying lots of different men's fragrances, you'll know all about the usual families of scent. Woods and spices are par for the course, and you'll probably already have delved into citrus scents too.

But when you want to add a bottle which is really outside of the norm, you need to look further afield. I recently tested Eauso Vert's Fruto Oscuro, which featured dark syrupy fruit notes.

Now, I've got my hands on a bottle of Gabar No. V (Ludlow) Lull, which sits in a similar wheelhouse. The bottle was first unveiled in 2024, and is said to evoke the energy of New York City.

Pinpointing exactly where this bottle sits can be tricky. To my nose, cherry and rose are the two most prominent right off the bat. That combination is peculiar, but in really quite a nice way.

There's something rather potent just beneath that, too. It's almost alcoholic, but not like a good scotch or an exotic vodka. It's more like cough syrup – again, in rather a pleasant way – with a distinct cherry cast.

Other notes on the card include black tea and orange blossom at the top, and red apple in the mid notes, though I think you have to really hunt them out. It's not to say they aren't present, but they don't bound forward like the others listed – at least to my nose.

The dry down does begin to introduce more of the base notes mentioned, too. Cashmere wood and musk are the most prominent, with that musk acting as the base for the longer term.

It's a neat little package overall, and one which really works. Each of the notes sits harmoniously and leaves its mark on the wearer. It's hard to pinpoint where this would sit within the traditional realms of fragrance, but that almost feels like the point. If you want a wildcard to throw into a rotation, you could do a lot worse than this.

In the wonderful world of men's fragrance, there really is something to suit every nose. Whether you like classic woods and spices, fresh greens and citrus scents or something different altogether, your wants and desires are being satisfied somewhere.

Recently, I got my hands on this bottle of Fruto Oscuro from Eauso Vert. The brand has a strong Latin heritage, and uses that to put a unique stamp on its collection of scented bottles.

As soon as you whip off the cap, Fruto Oscuro will hit you with strong, dark fruit notes. It's sweet and seductive, with just enough freshness to keep things from being too one sided.

Think of thick, syrupy dark fruit punch or mulled wine and you're not too far away from the opening here. As those top notes burn away, we're left with something altogether different.

The fruitier parts of this scent are the first to dissipate, leaving behind something altogether more mundane. You'll get strong patchouli and a little of something woody, but that's about it on my skin.

Still, it's worth topping up every now and then to enjoy that first hit once more. I'd say the top notes stick around for about an hour or two, before this reduces to a real skin scent. It's certainly not the best performance you'll ever see, but it's certainly not the worst, either.

Overall, the entire character of the brand is really enjoyable. Simple bottles with wooden tops feel clean and elegant. There's no sense of anything trying to hard here – just a good olfactory experience that sits outside of the norm for most.

Whether or not it works for you will, of course, come down to preference, but the overall character is remarkably wearable. It's certainly not too feminine for gents, but anyone could fall for this sweet, sultry package.

If you're reading this article, I can guarantee that you probably don't think twice about leaving your best beard trimmer on the bathroom shelf after a quick shave. It's convenient and it's where you use it, so why not store it there too? However, this seemingly harmless habit could be costing you money and putting your health at risk.

The bathroom seems like the obvious home for your grooming tools, but according to Peter Jones, Director of ADI Leak Detection, it's actually one of the worst places to keep them.

“Bathrooms are moisture traps,” explains Jones. “The combination of steam from hot showers, poor ventilation and fluctuating temperatures creates an environment that's hostile to electronic devices and perfect for bacterial growth.”

Bathrooms present a perfect storm for your grooming gear. Hot showers followed by cooling air create condensation that settles on every surface, including your trimmer. “After a hot shower, the humidity in a typical bathroom can reach 90% or higher,” says Jones.

Storing your trimmer in this damp setting doesn’t just damage the device – it can affect your skin too. Bacteria love warm, moist conditions, and your trimmer’s blades provide a prime breeding ground. “Persistent skin irritation and razor bumps can often be traced back to contaminated grooming tools,” explains Jones.

What will happen to your beard trimmer if it's left in the bathroom?

The bathroom conditions mentioned above can also shorten your trimmer’s lifespan and reduce its performance. Metal parts, including the blades, are vulnerable to rust from constant moisture. “Even stainless steel isn’t completely immune,” warns Jones. Prolonged exposure to steam and condensation can cause pitting and corrosion, dulling blades and cutting efficiency.

Humidity also affects battery life. Lithium-ion batteries, common in modern trimmers, don’t handle moisture well, which can interfere with charging and gradually reduce their ability to hold a charge.

Where should you keep your beard trimmer instead?

Jones recommends treating your beard trimmer like any other electronic device. “The bedroom dresser or a dry cupboard in the hallway are much better options,” he says. “Anywhere with stable temperature and low humidity will extend your trimmer’s life significantly.”

If you must keep it in the bathroom, there are workarounds. “A sealed container with silica gel packets can protect your trimmer from moisture – just make sure it’s completely dry before sealing it away,” Jones advises.

In 2025, the world of men's fragrance feels more alive than ever before. The market is abuzz with different scents from a wide variety of different brands.

You can head into a store – or the webpage of your preferred online retailer – and browse bottles from classic fragrance houses, fashion designers and even celebrities. The latter is what I've been testing this week, with the Better World Fragrance House Summer Mink coming under the ownership of Drake.

Summer Mink is the latest bottle from the brand, and it embodies the luxurious appearance perfectly. It's rare in reviews of this nature that I start by talking about the bottle, but it's worthwhile here.

The brand has designed the bottle to act as an ornamental centrepiece – it's a spherical orb, complete with a matching deep blue stand to hold it in place on your dresser. The whole thing feels like much more of a statement than your traditional scent bottle.

Still, that's only half the battle. It's certainly nice to have, but it really is what's inside that counts, and even the prettiest outerwear can't save a poor scent.

Fortunately, that's not the case here. Bursting forward from the atomiser are notes of citrus and sweet, floral notes, which give it a fresh first impression.

Still, those don't hang around long, making way for the creamy musk and vanilla notes at the base. That's the star of the show here – it almost leans into the world of gourmand scents with how delectably creamy it is.

There are spots of rose and vetiver around the edges too – you'll have to seek them out a little more, but they do make occasional appearances – but the musk is the main event. Whether or not that is wearable for you will depend on your preferences. It's more feminine than some would enjoy, but if you're happy with that profile, it's a lovely bottle to pick up.

As someone who gets to test a lot of the best men's fragrances on the market, I'm no stranger to having a collection of big bottles. Often, bigger sizes represent better value than smaller ones, making it the logical choice.

But it's certainly not the only choice. Lately, I've been exploring the wonderful world of miniature fragrance bottles, in a bid to see whether bigger isn't always better.

To check them out, I picked out a few sets from Perfume Direct – this one from Paco Rabanne, this one from Jean Paul Gaultier and this one from Tom Ford. And spoiler alert – I'm feeling quite converted! Here are five reasons why.

1. It's cheap

Okay, point number one – it is cheap. One of the sets I picked up came from Tom Ford, and included three different bottles from the brand's Private Blend collection.

For the unaware – those don't come cheap. Expect to pay somewhere in the region of £300 (approx. €350 / US$405 / AU$620) for a full sized bottle, which is pricey no matter who you are.

Instead, this set cost just more than half of that, and allowed me to test three different scents. If you've got a large collection of scents in rotation, this is certain to be a more cost effective way to add to it.

2. Discover something new

Tied in closely with the last point, miniature bottles are a perfect way of testing a lot of different scents quickly. For less than the cost of a single large bottle, you can give a range of different fragrances a try.

Take that same Tom Ford set for example. I knew I liked Lost Cherry having used it before, but I had a chance to try two other bottles. Rose Prick isn't for me – it definitely leans a little more feminine – but the Bitter Peach is a surprise highlight for me.

Similarly, the other sets allowed me to compare different bottles from the same range, to understand which strength would be best for me.

3. Perfect for travel

Whether you're an international jet-setter, or just a regular in the office, travelling with a fragrance is a great idea. It gives you the chance to top up throughout the day, after your signature scent has burned away.

These little bottles are perfect for that. They'll slip into a bag or suitcase with ease, they won't break any remaining limits for airport liquid sizes and they look fantastic to boot.

Do note that most come without an atomiser top, so they won't spray like your bigger bottles. I've managed to bodge it with the top from a travel atomiser like this, but you could also simply fill those with your scent.

1. Round face

According to Harry’s, round faces best suit beards that are shorter on the sides and longer around the jawline. They explain that this “gives your face a more angular look, making your jawline appear squarer instead of rounded.” Having a longer beard on the jaw, like a goatee or a chinstrap, adds length, definition and elongates the face while making it look less circular.

2. Oval face

If you have an oval face, you’re in luck as most beard styles will suit your face shape, as it’s one of the most versatile types out there. But to flatter your jaw, cheekbones and face in general, Harry’s recommends steering clear of “pointed beards, like the stiletto, as they can throw off your natural balance.”

3. Rectangular face

The key with a rectangular or oblong shaped face is to balance out the length and add fullness, width and structure for a more chiseled look. “Beard styles that add width, like the hipster beard, work well, as do styles that help define the jawline, like the chinstrap beard,” says Harry’s.

4. Square jaw

A square jaw essentially means that you have a strong jawline which really accentuates your face shapes and gives you all the right angles. But despite its appeal, a square jaw can often appear a bit sharp and harsh, so Harry’s suggests “a full beard, stiletto beard, scruffy beard, or even some stubble work really well with this face shape, giving you plenty of stylish options.”

5. ‘Mature’ beards

This isn’t exactly a face shape, but if you’re unsure what beard to go for as you get older, you’re in luck as a well-groomed facial looks great, regardless of your age. The trick is to stick to your normal beard style – like a long beard if you have a round face or a chinstrap for a rectangular face – but cut it a little closer to your face if you’re worried about scruffiness or gray hairs.

These days, the best electric toothbrushes do a lot more than just clean your teeth. For those always on the move, its UV-cleaning travel cap is a genuinely clever addition, helping to keep the brush head fresh and bacteria-free. Add in the ultra-soft bristles and minimalist design, and you’ve got a toothbrush that’s smart, simple and surprisingly affordable.

Co-Founder and CEO Nikunj Choudhari highlights the mission behind Tusk, stating, “We built Tusk to make oral care intuitive and enjoyable. Our goal is simple: smarter products, effortless routines, and brighter smiles.” Co-Founder and CTO Atul Zanjurne adds, “Design should solve problems. Every Tusk product is crafted with purpose, making oral care effective without unnecessary complexity.”

There are few brands in the world with the character of Born to Stand Out. The Korean fragrance house is well known for its rebellious styling and white and red branding.

It's the kind of brand recognition which most would die for – so when news of the new Eau Intimité collection dropped, a change in bottle design was the first thing I spotted. Here, clear bottles are used, albeit with the familiar shape and font.

It's a marked change – like watching Sid Vicious decide he's suddenly got a soft spot for a teacup poodle. And changes that dramatic often suggest something bigger is happening.

There are five scents in the new collection: Candy Dust, Cuvée Skin, Gold Juice, Musc X and Warm Air. Each of the five is designed to act like a second skin, with an intimate wearing experience that is soft, subtle and yet powerful.

The brand describes the collection as minimal, emotional and daring, retaining the signature BORNTOSTANDOUT aesthetic, even when things must be whispered rather than shouted.

Candy Dust picks out notes of raspberry, pink dragibus and powdered sugar, for a sweet, bubblegum pop vibe. Cuvée Skin is more elegant, with notes of champagne, ambrette and tonka.

Gold Juice employs durian, mango and ambroxan for a different take on sweet, while Warm Air features musk, tonka and ambergris. But my favourite from the bunch has to be Musc X, which fuses ambroxan, musk and sugar.

The result is delectably sweet, but with just enough body to feel elegant and refined. It's the outlaw cousin of Baccarat Rouge – you know, the one the parents say to stay clear of and not to listen to anything they tell you.

Still, there's something to love in each of the offerings here. The five bottles all offer something a little different to what's already on the market – and that's exactly what the brand is all about.

The range is available exclusively at Harrods in the UK, with a 100ml bottle costing £190 (approx. €220 / US$250 / AU$390). That's certainly not a cheap bottle, though it's certainly worth it. Don't be fooled by the eau de toilette strength, either – these will stick around on your skin all day.

If you've ever spent some time perusing the notes of the men's fragrance section online or at your favourite store, you'll know that citrus scents are commonplace. It's not hard to see why, either.

Those bright top notes can cut through really nicely, ensuring you'll always get a whiff of the scent throughout the day. I've tested some of the most popular on the market, including iconic scents like Acqua di Parma Colonia.

Recently, I've been testing Goldfield and Banks Bohemian Lime. That's an older scent from the brand, but one which still deserves credit – particularly after how much I enjoyed the brand's popular Ingenious Ginger.

Right off the bat, I get a similar sense from this bottle. The brand has a real knack of crafting scents that do exactly what they say on the bottle, and this is no different.

The first spray will instantly douse you in lime, which feels familiar for those who enjoy citrus scents, but just different enough from the usual lemon notes. It's a notable difference, though, and one which will ensure it stands out in your citrus collection.

Just like other bottles from the brand, this scent is a real game of two halves. The initial burst is pure lime, but as you sit with it, other notes start to appear subtly in the background.

Here, you'll enjoy a gentle smattering of woods and vetiver, which offer a little more body as the scent dries on your skin. Those notes never take over – you'll still get lime all throughout – but the profile diversifies over time.

All in all, it's neat fragrance which feels just different enough to warrant a place in even the most crowded collections. This is a brand which always exudes quality, and you'll feel that in everything from the unboxing to the last remnants left on your skin before bed.
