Having been a Kindle owner since they first emerged a couple of decades ago, I've had my eye on Amazon's most recent models – notably the Kindle Colorsoft range. However, I haven't really been that inspired to get one personally.

Two things changed that. First, I saw how comic books look on the full colour E Ink display – it makes a massive difference to see them as the artist intended. And second, Amazon slashed the price by a huge 38% for Prime Day.

At just £166.24 (over £100 off) it is actually cheaper than the usual price of a mono Kindle Paperwhite. And this is the Signature Edition we're talking about here, with wireless charging, an automatically adjusting front light and 32GB of internal storage.

The standard Kindle Colorsoft has an amazing deal too – down to £154.99 from £239.99. But considering that has half the storage, a manual "warm light", and doesn't support wireless charging, it's a no-brainer for less than £12 more.

I've always been a comic book reader (and collector), and do own an iPad Pro, but tablets aren't great on the eyes over extended reading sessions. And especially not at night when the lights are out.

The Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition is transformative therefore, allowing me to catch up on my graphic novels without impacting my subsequent sleep. And, with Kindle Unlimited being free for three months at the same price in a bundle, I can find the vast majority of my favourites to read for free.

The one thing you will need to keep in mind is that to get the deal, you will need to be an Amazon Prime member. But that's also available for free for 30-days, and you can cancel before needing to pay a subscription fee.

Prime Day World Cup fun

Prime Day is throwing up some other amazing deals too, including a trio of tech bargains picked by former England star and now pundit Theo Walcott – timely with the World Cup in full swing.

T3 has been sent his recommendations in the sale, which include the Oura Smart Ring 4 at just £199 – reduced from £349.99 (so 43% off).

There's the "All-new" Ring Battery Video Doorbell, which comes with a free Ring Indoor Camera for just £37.99 (a saving of 68%). And he also suggests taking a look at the Marshall Major V wireless headphones at £90.72 – down from £129.99.

If you love your cars, there's a lot of gadgets that you can add to your motor to improve it, or at least make life a little easier.

That's especially true if you've got an electric car, with home charging options that can save you hundreds in bills compared to public chargers.

Then there's vehicle maintenance, cleaning and upkeep. With the right tools, all of this becomes a breeze and you can keep your car looking shiny and new.

We're a day away from Grand Theft Auto VI hitting stores – to pre-order, at least. The game is due on 19 November 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but you can order your copy from tomorrow, 25 June.

It's exciting – after all, this is undoubtedly the biggest game release of the decade so far and while we have a few more months before we can actually play it, I'm already thinking about my gaming setup. I want to ensure that I'll make the most of GTA 6 from the first moment to the last.

Indeed, rumours suggest that the console version will have a 60 frames-per-second performance mode, and you are likely to get some in-game ray tracing support (on PS5 / PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X, anyway). So is your TV up to the task of showing it at its best?

As for Grand Theft Auto VI itself, that will be available to pre-order from tomorrow, Thursday 25 June at midnight in your region.

The game will be available to pre-order digitally on the PlayStation and Xbox stores, or in physical form across multiple retailers. It'll be priced at $79.99 (with UK pricing TBC). A Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition with additional in-game items will be $99.99.

Do note though, if you do pick up a physical copy the box will contain a download code – there is no disc version.

I don't care who you are, LEGO Star Wars is cool, and every single model brings a little bit of joy to the world. As a child of the 70s, I grew up with Star Wars toys and with LEGO, so as an adult, seeing the two brought together was magical.

It's the classics that I love, though: ships and scenes from the original trilogy. Though occasionally I will stray beyond their borders into Mandalorian territory and Andor realms.

This year's Amazon Prime Day sale doesn't have masses of LEGO on sale, at least not yet, but there are some big discounts on those it does have. While I could happily fill my basket with them in private, I thought it might be useful to share my take on the best to buy.

The best LEGO Star Wars deals right now

If you have a Mac, the Apple Studio Display is one of the best monitors you can buy. While there is now a newer Studio Display XDR model with Mini-LED and 120Hz, the original is more than enough for most users and is a far better price.

However, in the Amazon Prime Day sale this week, a Lightning Deal has seen the price of the monitor drop to just £1099 – that's 37% off the list price, making the Studio Display an absolute steal.

As I write this 46% have already been claimed, so this deal is likely to sell out today. So if you are tempted, you need to move quickly. It's certainly the biggest Apple deal we've seen on Prime Day for a long time.

This isn't the standard version either; the discounted model comes with the nano-texture glass, giving you a nice matte finish which eliminates reflections.

Amazon Prime Day is more than just a yearly event these days, but while the spring and autumn sales are very nice, this is the big one. The main event, the OG, the big dog – and hopefully, the one with the best savings.

When is the next Amazon Prime Day?

The next Prime Day is right now. The sale will start at midnight on Tuesday 23rd and finish at 11:59 pm on Friday 26th June. That means you'll be able to get record-low prices across multiple departments, especially on Amazon devices.

The last Amazon Prime Day took place on 8-11 July 2025, with Amazon Prime Big Deal Days on 8 - 9th October 2024. We expect there to be another Big Deal Days event in October, just before Black Friday.

How to get a free Prime account for Prime Day

You might already know this (the clue's in the title), but you need to be an Amazon Prime member to shop the Prime Day sale.

However, not only do Amazon Prime members get to shop the Prime Day sale, but they also get early access to ALL Lightning Deals and extra offers on Prime benefits, like coupon offers, free Deliveroo Plus and plenty of other benefits. A Prime subscription is definitely something to consider, therefore.

If you're new to Prime, Amazon Prime is available on a 30-day free trial for all new members. If you're a student, there's even better news as Amazon offers a free six-month Amazon Prime trial on Prime Student and after that, it will only cost you £4.49 a month.

What were the best Prime Day deals last year?

Prime Day 2025 resulted in some great offers across multiple departments.

The best deals were on a range of tech, kitchen and beauty products. For example, the Samsung S90C TV was on sale with over 40% off, the Apple AirPods Max headphones were at their cheapest yet, and you could get a Philips Hue Starter Kit to begin your smart lighting journey for under £100.

Overall, Amazon devices had the biggest discounts, with Echo speakers, Blink cameras, Kindles and Fire tablets hitting record low prices. Alongside this, Ninja, Sage and Tefal kitchen appliances came with amazing offers, as did Xbox and PS5 controllers.

What brands had the best prices on Prime Day last year?

Plenty of different brands took part in the sales last year, with Sony and Bose being two of the most sought after. Speakers, earbuds and headphones were particularly popular.

Philips, Samsung and Shark all saw big price drops too, and makeup brands like Rimmel saw great sales.

Due to the cost of living crisis, we believe people use these sales to stock up on essentials for around the home - from washing-up liquid to coat hangers, teabags to cat food. Amazon delivers with incredibly low prices on these products, especially on its Vouchers page.

How much is Amazon Prime membership?

Amazon Prime membership costs £8.99 per month or £95 for a year when paid in advance. For students, the cost is £4.49 monthly and the annual subscription is £47.49.

So, if you want Prime to shop the Prime Day sale, we recommend signing up before the event and if you're new, you can shop with a free month's trial. You can then cancel Prime soon after and it won't cost you a penny more.

Will Prime Day be better than Black Friday?

Prime Day is heralded as Amazon's biggest sales event of the year. However, Amazon is also well known for its Black Friday sales. Last year, Amazon started its Black Friday sale early, weeks in advance of the official sales date. Many shoppers got to take advantage of early discounts and themed weeks that Amazon ran in the lead-up to Black Friday.

Having said that, there are a couple of key differences between Prime Day and Black Friday. The most obvious is that Black Friday isn't an Amazon-only sale. Retailers from around the world take part in the annual event and slash their prices during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday weekend. Black Friday is also available for all shoppers and not just Prime members.

As Black Friday is the more famous shopping event, you might find cheaper prices. However, Amazon is a big component of the Black Friday sale and its Prime Day sales have some of the cheapest offers on the day. This isn't to say that Amazon won't have low prices on Black Friday but if you're a regular Amazon shopper or Prime user, you'll find the cheapest offers available during the Prime Day sale.

What kind of sales has Amazon run in the past?

Looking at last year's Amazon sales is a good indication of what to expect the next time they come around, including Prime Day, Black Friday and Prime Day 2 (Prime Big Deal Days). Amazon constantly has deals available site-wide on a range of products in its 'Today's Deals' section.

At T3, we like to consider ourselves experts on big sales events so by looking at the patterns from Amazon's 2025 sales, we've come up with a few predictions for what we expect to see in 2026.

Like most retailers, Amazon sticks to seasonal holidays, so during spring it offers a wide range of products, including laptops, air fryers, headphones and lawnmowers. As Prime Day traditionally happens in July, there are deals on absolutely everything, but especially on Amazon devices, air conditioners, vacuum cleaners and premium beauty.

Amazon also typically runs themed weeks throughout the year, and specifically in the run-up to its Black Friday event. In the past, there have been Gardening Week and Fragrance Week events. All of this gives us a strong indication that these deals could make a comeback during 2026.

I've covered so many Amazon Prime Day sales as part of my job that it's become like an annual sporting event. It's such familiar territory that typical 'Prime pitfalls' continue to rear their heads.

In addition to the mistakes not to make this Prime Day, below I'll also highlight some hidden benefits – including some less often checked tips to enhance the best deals.

Waiting too long

Amazon Prime Day 2026 runs from 00:01 Tuesday 23 July through until 23:59 on Friday 26 July.

It's important to keep that in mind, as some deals – marked with red "Prime Day Deal" banners – will expire and pricing revert to previous levels.

"Lightning Deals", meanwhile, are marked as so – and will have countdown timers or product claim limits that expire.

In short: don't wait too long. That said: don't rush! Because there are many other factors to consider...

Splitting The Cost

If you are buying a bigger item and don't want to pay the lump sum out of your bank account, nor park it on a credit card, then look out for Amazon's Monthly Payments option.

Now this isn't available on everything, sadly, but on a product page if you see "Or £XYZ / month" then click into it – and you'll be able to select Amazon's interest-free plan of equal payments over a series of months.

I've done this many times, on items such as trainers, electric toothbrushes, even Garmin cycling computers. There's no additional fee to pay, so that £500 purchase could become £100 per month instead – making it more manageable.

Don't overstretch yourself, of course, as this isn't free money, it's just a good way of budgeting your monthly spend. And it often goes unseen, as it's quite hidden on the page where it is available.

Researching Price History

Not all deals are made equal. Indeed, some are upsold as being "cheapest" – despite being lower-priced in the not-too-distant past. That's usually based on whether you're looking over the past 30 days rather than 3 months or a year.

Amazon now offers its own Price History tool, which is worth a look – it loads Rufus AI in the sidebar and presents a graph. As above, toggle between the days/months/years to get a good projection of how pricing has changed.

If you see a pricing pattern – raised and lowered over set periods – then this is intentional to upsell the "deal" when, in fact, you may find the price drops outside of Prime Day if it's previously been lower.

Double-checking the shipping date

Here's one that can often catch people out. Some products only have long-distance shipping available – which can take weeks.

If you see what you want to buy listed multiple times, it'll often be the seller that differs, which is where shipping time periods can differ.

So always double-check the due arrival date. There have been a number of times where I've ordered DIY tools, for example, only to see the would-be arrival date is several days or weeks away – but cancelling the order for free is possible.

Checking for shipping discounts

If you don't urgently need something then Amazon occasionally offers shipping discounts if you're willing to wait. Skip the today/tomorrow delivery and look out for 1% discount for delivery later in the week – you just need to select the No-Rush option at the checkout stage.

In addition, some frequent-purchase product types offer subscriptions with 5% or 10% or even greater discounts. It's worth exploring this – as you can cancel the subscription at any time and benefit from the lower purchase price. This is a great little hack for lower pricing – whether during Prime Day or not.

Not shopping around

Prime Day may well be an Amazon event, but other retailers want to get in on the action too. After all, sales equate to money and eventual profit, so Argos, Currys, and plenty more will compete.

Leaving Amazon and browsing elsewhere is a savvy decision, as you might find a better offer. Brands also want to upsell their products, so you may see direct discounts on Sonos or Bose or elsewhere.

However, shipping is often an extra hidden cost – something Amazon Prime members typically avoid, given the monthly or annual membership fee – so do keep that in mind.

Discount Expectations

Now, I've seen some pretty great deals during Prime Day – well, "Prime week", really, isn't it? – but do keep your expectations in check.

This isn't like the Black Friday of old where stores would put out super-limited £1 items that would set shoppers into riot mode.

Discounts may ultimately be marginal. Some products areas, such as TVs, typically present bigger discounts. But do consider: 'Do I need to buy this now?'. There's no need to panic buy when waiting for future discounts could be a greater benefit.

Note that you can also return Amazon products for a refund, typically within 30 days, so if you do change your mind then you're covered.

It's time to get ready for a deal tsunami as Amazon has announced its annual summer Prime Day event.

This year's sales period will run from 23 to 26 June 2026, so is just a few weeks away. It'll once again see 1,000s of items heavily discounted across Amazon in multiple countries, including smart home gear, home appliances, TVs, tech and services, like Prime Video and Amazon Music Unlimited.

Amazon will also be slashes the prices of its own devices once more – including Fire TV Sticks, Ring video doorbells, Kindles, Echo smart speakers and Ember televisions.

As always, you will need to be an Amazon Prime member to get the deals, although you can sign up for free for 30 days if you're not currently a subscriber. That way you can snag all the deals you want and then decide whether you want to continue with your membership or cancel before the first monthly payment is taken.

Amazon Prime Day will also include limited-time deals on newly launched items, plus a zone for the top 100 deals, and Epic Prime Deals with the biggest bargains. And of course, you can also keep up with all the latest tech deal recommendations from the T3 team throughout the event.

Brands that are confirmed to be taking part include Samsung, Sony, LG, Sonos, Hisense and Lenovo. There will also be big deals from the likes of Ninja, Shark, De'Longhi, Instant Pot, Adidas and Lego.

There are even some early deals available now, including on Amazon Prime Video TV and movie purchases – you can get up to 50% off with discounts across the online store.

Hopefully, this will be a Prime Day to remember.

If you've been looking for an exceptional pair of earbuds, then look no further. Yes, eyes off Beckham, please, much as he makes these 5-star earbuds look even more appealing.

Bowers & Wilkins has long made the best in-ears for the luxury market. The brand has Becks on the team as an ambassador, too, with these Pi8 in-ears (plus the Px7 S3 and Px8 S2) part of his repertoire.

Even if the Pi8 weren't Becks' apparent choice earbuds, however, they'd still be an assured top-class buy. We said they offer "great sound, thorough specification and unexpectedly swish design," in our review.

As they're so high up the league, however, the Pi8 have never been a bargain basement purchase. The £349 suggested retail price has been lowered marginally since launch, but it's only now that these earbuds have dropped to a new price low.

Having checked using third-party price-checker site, CamelCamelCamel, the previous £299 low has been reduced yet further as part of Amazon's October Prime Day sale.

That sale is meant to end today, 8th October, so you might want to get a wriggle on – in case the deal doesn't go into extra time. You never know, though, Black Friday could see an even better return in late November.

If over-ears are more your thing, however, then check out the 3 best headphones that are currently on offer for some great ideas. There are some classy offerings in there – even without that signature Beckham pose.

Every now and then a phone comes along that stops you in your tracks. I've been using an iPhone since the 3GS back in 2009, with a brief spell on Android devices from 2012-2014, but there's something about the flip phone that appeals.

To be fair, I've liked a flip phone since 1999 when I saw the Ericsson T28 but the last few Samsung Galaxy Z Flip models have piqued my interest. And this latest model, the Z Flip 7 has me reaching for my wallet.

This latest model is not just compact, but it's super thin and has an impressive 6.9-inch screen when unfolded. Better still, the outer screen is now a 4.1-inch screen that fills the front, even wrapping around those two cameras – a 50MP main and 12MP wide-angle.

It feels like a lot of effort to move between iOS and Android, but these days it's easier than ever. As I found out testing the latest Xiaomi 15 Ultra earlier this year. Then there's the price. The Z Flip 7 is very much a premium phone, coming in at £1049 for the 256GB model, or £1149 for the 512GB model, which might have delayed my decision.

Now though, just a few days after its announcement it has appeared in the Amazon Prime Day sale, with a 17% discount. That takes the price of the 512GB model down to £949, while the 256GB gets a 10% discount down to, well, the same £949.

At under a grand, I am sorely tempted to make the move and experience a smaller phone in my pocket again. Just like a dreamed of with the Ericson T28.

GameSir was one of the first accessory makers to push firmware support for the Nintendo Switch 2 to its wireless controllers, and that made its flagship Super Nova gamepad one of the best third-party devices out there.

That's because, not only does it work with the Switch 2 via a Bluetooth connection or when wired, its button configuration can be switched (pardon the pun) to also suit Nintendo's A, B, X, Y layout.

On top of that, it has Hall Effect thumbsticks and triggers, with the former promising no stick drift issues and more precise control, and it will even work with your iPhone, iPad, Android device or PC.

Saving the best news until last, it's also available with 20% for Amazon Prime Day in the UK and an even better 33% off in the US. That makes it a whole lot cheaper than the official Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller, that's for sure.

Why consider the GameSir Super Nova wireless gaming controller?

With the official Switch 2 Pro Controller costing £74.95 in the UK and $84.99 in the States, it stands to reason that third-party manufacturers would offer alternatives for less. And on Prime Day, that's a lot less.

In fact, it can be argued that the GameSir Super Nova even improves on its pricier equivalent, as it comes with swappable face plates, the ability to change the front button configuration, and Hall Effect thumbsticks and triggers.

These latter additions allow for much greater precision with movements than regular sticks as they use magnets to register directions. They are less prone to wear and tear too.

The GameSir Super Nova is also compatible with motion controls, meaning you can move it in the air just like an official Nintendo controller, and it boasts a 1000Hz polling rate when connected via a cable or the 2.4GHz dongle.

And, of course, you can use this controller with other devices too. The only thing it can't do is wake the Switch 2 wirelessly – you'll have to turn on the console manually. However, that might end up being added in a future firmware update. Let's hope so.

We’re almost halfway through Prime Day, and the entire team has been pretty impressed with what’s on offer this year. Not only have the deals refreshed quite significantly overnight, but some of the discounts are the best we've seen in ages.

However, if you’ve just found your dream deal and noticed that next-day delivery isn’t available, you’re definitely not the only one.

A lot of eager shoppers have been left scratching their heads wondering why next-day delivery isn’t showing up, even though they’ve got a valid Prime membership. It’s frustrating, especially since fast, free delivery is one of the biggest reasons people sign up for Prime in the first place.

I ran into the same issue last night when I tried to grab one of Dyson’s many deals, so I decided to do a bit of digging.

So, why can’t you get next-day delivery?

The short answer is that Prime Day creates a huge spike in orders, meaning it's easy for Amazon’s logistics network to get overwhelmed. Now that Amazon’s stretched the event over four days instead of the usual two, it’s likely they’ve quietly eased up on next-day delivery to avoid getting completely swamped.

However, there’s another, less obvious reason, too.

A lot of this year’s best deals are being sold by third-party sellers or are fulfilled through Amazon’s FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) programme. That means the products might be coming from different warehouses across the country, or even internationally. That extra travel time can delay shipping, especially when demand is high.

So between the rush of orders and the mix of fulfilment partners, next-day delivery just isn’t possible for everyone this time around. However, the good news is that even if it’s not next-day, your order will probably still arrive within a few days – so it’s definitely still worth a browse.

When does Prime Day 2025 finish?

Amazon Prime Day 2025 ends on Friday 11th July at midnight, giving shoppers a full four days to grab deals. After that, most discounts expire, so it’s best to shop before the clock runs out.

Do Prime Day deals change each day?

Yes – Prime Day deals are refreshed daily. New deals launch every midnight, and Lightning Deals pop up throughout the day. Some discounts last the full event, whilst others are limited to specific hours or stock levels.

When is the next Prime Day?

Prime Day usually happens every July, but lately, Amazon’s been hosting more shopping events throughout the year. For example, there’s often a smaller Prime event in October, and just a few months ago, we had Big Spring Deal Days. So, it’s likely the next big sale will be in October.

If you want a decent amount of cloud storage these days, you will be looking to pay around £8-10 per month for 2TB and closer to double that for 5TB. There's a bit of a hack however, to get up to 6TB for next to nothing.

Microsoft 365 personal edition comes with 1TB of free cloud storage, while the family edition comes with 1TB per person, for up to six people – that's 6TB total. Of course, with Microsoft 365 you get all of the Microsoft family of programs, including word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook, which makes the cloud storage practically free.

A family subscription is normally £104.99 a year, but right now on Amazon, you can pick up a year's Microsoft 365 Family subscription for just £49.99. That's just £4.16 per month. If you register six different email addresses on your account, you can then access all six of the 1TB cloud storage areas in One Drive, and then share the storage back to your main account – thus giving you access to 6TB.

It's a bit of a hack but paying £4.16 for 6TB (plus the Microsoft products) is worth it.

Even before Prime Day started, Amazon announced that it was giving away extra games with its Prime Gaming perk this month. Now it's added four additional titles to the lineup – and you can redeem them for free right now.

They include the latest version of Football Manager, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. However, it's the fourth free title that's most exciting – it just so happens to be one of the best Marvel games in recent times.

Marvel's Midnight Suns is a superb turn-based strategy/card game with role-playing and adventure elements thrown in for good measure. It features a whole swathe of big name Marvel heroes, and a few more obscure ones for good measure.

It can also be expanded with downloadable content and extra heroes, so you can take the story further.

Combat is excellent in the game, with missions placing you on varied battlefields in which you have to use action cards to take out the sometimes super-powered enemies.

It might come as no surprise that the game was developed by the studio behind the XCOM series, not least because there's a fair amount of base building and levelling up to go through too.

As with the vast majority of free games on Prime Gaming, Marvel's Midnight Suns is available to download for free on PC (through Epic Games Store). You just head to the dedicated Prime Gaming webpage, hit "get game" and you can assign it to your Epic Games Store account. And if you don't have one, you can always create one at this point too.

The game will be available to download for free until 6 October, although not all titles have such lengthy windows. Football Manager 2024, for example, is only available for three more days – until 12 July.

Prime Gaming is a free perk for Amazon Prime members, so you will need to be a member to get the games. If you're not already, there's a 30-day free trial period before the first payment is taken, so you can sign up now and cancel at any time in the coming month.

However, considering there are regularly 10-20 free games on Prime Gaming each month, plus all the other benefits of Amazon Prime, you might want to subscriber anyway.

It's hard not to get over excited by the frenzy of discounts on Amazon during Prime Day. Percentages and money are thrown in your face from every angle, and all you can think about is hitting that buy button.

But as Vanilla Ice once said, stop, collaborate and listen. There are ways to be smarter in your deals choice that will not only save you time, but also help you search out the very best deals.

Here are my very quick tips to achieving the perfect Prime experience.

1. Make a list

Failing to plan is planning to fail. If there are things you are looking for this Prime Day, put it down in a list. Even better, use the Wish List function in Amazon to create your list. That way, when the deals rolls in, you can just access your list and see which of your items is on sale.

Having items in your wish list will also help Amazon recommend similar products to you that might be on sale – which can be good and bad. Either way, it's a perfect starting point for your deal shopping and potentially a good way to keep you on track.

2. Use a price checker

All of the discounts you see on Amazon are based on the list price, but that doesn't mean that the product was at the list price last week. It could be that it's actually only dropped a smaller amount recently, or even that it's been at an even lower price in the past.

The best way to be sure is to use a price checker. There are a few sites, like CamelCamelCamel that allow you to track the price history of Amazon items, to see the lowest and highest it's been in recent months, or even longer.

My favourite, though, is a Plug-in called Keepa, which adds a price graph onto your Amazon page, so you can see all the information right there.

3. Get membership

The Amazon Prime sale is a members-only event, so you'll only get the savings if you're a Prime Member. You can join Prime a pay a monthly or annual fee. If you shop from Amazon regularly, you'll make the fee back in free shipping. Plus, you get access to Prime Video and the basic Prime Music.

If you haven't joined yet, you can get a free trial membership which is still valid for the sale, or if you're a student, you can even get a reduced-price membership.

There are really only two names in the e-reader market, Amazon, with its Kindle family, and Kobo, which beat Amazon to the punch with its colour e-reader in 2024. There could be some changes coming to the Kobo readers too, presenting even more of a challenge for Kindle.

Amazon updated all its Kindle models in 2024, refreshing everything from the humble entry-level Kindle right up to the Kindle Scribe, the model that supports reading and writing. New to the selection was the Kindle Colorsoft, rivalled by the Kobo Libra Colour.

Kobo, however, has two tiers of colour devices, with both Kobo Libra (a 7-inch device) and Kobo Clara (a 6-inch device) offering a colour display, making for a much more affordable way to get a colour E Ink device than Kindle.

It's the Clara devices, both the Clara Colour and Clara BW that could be getting an update according to Good E Reader. As the source suggests, one of the suppliers to Kobo has just filed new FCC applications, suggesting changes to the Clara Colour and Clara BW.

The precise details of the changes can't be determined by the FCC filings, but they are listed as new devices, with the model numbers carrying a B on the end. While the Clara BW recently surfaced with a larger battery in Europe, it's likely that the new versions will bring changes to both Clara devices globally.

The source of this information tells us that Kobo devices have been out of stock in the US for some months, which often happens before a new version is released.

What's the state of play with e-readers?

The move to colour has been pushed as a way to make e-readers more engaging, allowing cover art to be shown, while bringing big benefits for those who read graphic novels. However, reception to the Kindle Colorsoft has been rather muted.

Not only is the Colorsoft really expensive, but readers note a drop in speed and display quality. At the same time, reading graphic novels on a 7-inch device isn't as engaging as using a larger screen and most other books don't really need colour.

That's seen the Kindle Paperwhite remain as Amazon's most popular Kindle – and with Prime Day on the horizon, it's likely that there will be plenty of discounts for those looking for a new device.

Kobo offers greater affordability than Kindle, while also offering more flexibility when it comes to buying or borrowing ebooks. While the Kindle Store is easy to use, OverDrive integration on Kobo devices opens up borrowing from public libraries, while there are still Kobo devices with physical page turn buttons.

It looks like the choice is about to widen too.

Amazon has announced its Prime Day sales event for 2025 and as part of the celebrations, it's added six surprise titles to its rolling lineup of free games.

All Amazon Prime members can claim them and, for me, the highlight is most certainly the Tomb Raider I-III Remastered collection. It includes Lara Croft's first three adventures in the one pack, all with enhanced graphics and quality of life improvements.

Amazon owns the Tomb Raider brand these days, so it makes sense that it's included in this great Prime Day giveaway. Also added to the selection of free games available from today are Dungeon of the Endless: Definitive Edition, Saints Row 2, Saints Row IV: Re-elected, Star Wars: Rebellion, and TOEM.

As with the vast majority of titles available to all Prime members through Prime Gaming, these are all available to download for PC. That includes many of the PC gaming handhelds on the market, such as the Asus ROG Ally and Lenovo Legion Go.

Some Xbox games have been given away in recent times too, but there aren't any available on the list this month.

How to redeem your free Amazon Prime games

To redeem the above games, along with all the others available on Prime Gaming today, just head to the Amazon Prime Gaming website, click on each game's redemption button and follow the instructions.

Games might need to be redeemed on different online stores, so you might be asked to create an account at GOG, Epic Games Store, etc. Just follow those instructions when they appear too.

As with all Prime Gaming offers, the latest batch of free games will only be available for a limited period. It's suggested that the bonus bundle above might only be free until Prime Day 2025 starts on 8 July (it runs through to 11 July).

Also, you will need to be a Prime member to redeem the games and take part in the Prime Day sales. However, new members can sign up for a 30-day free trial now.

Amazon Prime Day 2025 has been announced and at this rate it'll have to have a name change. That's because what started out as a day of deals is now almost an entire week.

This year's event runs from 8 to 11 July – a full four days of big bargains across Amazon in many regions. And as is traditional, there will be many massive deals to be had on tech, beauty, home, lifestyle and active products.

Amazon itself has highlighted Bose, De' Longhi, Dyson, Lego, Shark, CeraVe, Ninja and Sonos as brands that will be taking part.

There will naturally be big discounts on Amazon's own devices too.

How to get the Amazon Prime Day discounts

Unlike Black Friday, which is a more general sales period where many retailers take part, Amazon Prime Day is exclusive to Amazon's online stores. It is also exclusive to Amazon Prime members.

That means you'll have to sign up for Amazon Prime in your respective country before you can make use of the best deals. Thankfully though, if you're not a subscriber already, you get a 30-day free trial period so can snag all the bargains you want and then decide if you want to continue with your membership or cancel.

So, if you sign up anytime from now to 7 July, you'll make sure you can get the best prices across Amazon's sale. And you won't have to pay a penny more until the free month is up.

Amazon Prime costs £95 / $139 / AU$79 / €89.90 for yearly membership, with monthly payment options available too.

The benefits depend on your location but generally include access to major sales periods like this one, free next day delivery, free Kindle books, a Prime Video subscription, and plenty more.

Will other retailers take part in Prime Day?

Prime Day is exclusive to Amazon, but many other retailers tend to have similar sales running at the same time. That can sometimes mean that some products are available for cheaper elsewhere.

Streaming devices often get some of the biggest discounts, so keep an eye out.

As part of its Prime Day sales, Amazon is offering a trio of top-notch PC games for free to all of its Amazon Prime members. And one of them is a AAA shooter from the developer of the superb Batman: Arkham trilogy.

Along with Rise of the Tomb Raider and Chivalry II, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is available to claim from Prime Gaming right now – you just need to link an Epic Games Store account to Prime and the game is yours to keep.

The one caveat is that you'll have to be speedy, as it's only available to claim for a short while – until the end of Prime Day at midnight on Wednesday 17 July, in fact. After that time it, and the other two titles, will be gone.

While this offer is exclusive to PC gamers, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 owners can also get a great discount on the game during Prime Day.

An Amazon Prime subscription is essential if you want to take advantage of the deals during Prime Day, but you can sign up for a 30-day free trial first in order to snag the bargains and find out if the other benefits are worth paying for.

Considering how much you get with Prime Gaming alone, it seems a no-brainer for PC gamers, that's for sure.

I’m rarely seen without a watch on my wrist. I’ve owned smartwatches, automatic watches and digital watches, with the main criteria for my purchases being that they’re affordable and they’re versatile, being able to work with whatever outfit I wear. 1. Sign up for a free Amazon Prime membership

Before you do anything, you have to make sue you have an Amazon Prime membership if you want to be involved in the deals. Prime Day is exclusive to members, meaning you won't get any savings if you haven't got a membership. However, do not worry if you don't have one! Whilst it costs £8.99 ($14.99) a month, or £95 ($139) for a yearly membership, did you know you can try out Amazon Prime for free for 30 days, providing you're not already signed up?

If you're planning on making a purchase during Prime Day, it's worth signing up now. You can easily cancel your subscription once Prime Day is over without even paying a penny - sounds great right?

2. Have a look at the Amazon Vouchers page for secret discounts 

Amazon Vouchers is a page that shows additional savings that require you to manually add them to your order. Once you’ve found a voucher, you will need to click on it to save the discount and then add the item to your basket. The discount is then automatically applied to your basket price. 

You can choose which section of vouchers you’d like to browse, such as Home & Garden or Electronics. For example, there’s currently a discount for 50% off the Dyson v8 battery! If you’re thinking of purchasing something before, have a look at these Amazon discounts so you can save in preparation as well. 

3. Purchase items through Amazon Renewed

Amazon Renewed is a separate page that allows you to purchase refurbished goods at a cheaper price. They are pre-owned items that have to pass a quality control check so there won’t be any issues attached. Amazon Renewed products even come with a separate one-year warranty, so you don’t have to worry about a thing!

This is a great option if you’re on the look out for a new phone, laptop or television. 

4. Keep an eye out for a bargain on Amazon Warehouse 

Amazon Warehouse is a separate page where you can buy returned or slightly damaged goods at much lower prices. You are always given in depth detail about the product, as well as what its condition is like. If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days.  

5. Plan ahead

Even though it sounds boring, one of the best ways you can save money is by avoiding any unnecessary spending - you don’t want to buy something just because it’s on sale. Before Prime Day, make a wish list of all the products you’ve got your eye on. When the time comes, you can just check the list to see if anything’s on sale and easily move items to your cart and check out. This will save time as well!

There is this sort of tradition at T3 that I always buy something... peculiar during big sales events such as Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday. Last Amazon Prime Day, I purchased a Blob Seal Pillow, and for Black Friday, I surprised myself with a pair of Monster Inc-themed Adidas Stan Smith sneakers. Good morning! Mike here, back at it for Amazon Prime Day day two of two, the final hours for you to browse all these great TV deals.

Let me do a quick rewind and bring your attention back to what I think is the best TV deal of Amazon Prime Day 2022: Samsung's QN90A 55-inch Neo QLED. It's the 2021 flagship and around half price, still in stock, and very much worth its £799 asking price.

As we approach the final evening stint of Amazon Prime Day we're not seeing many new deals appear. So at this point in time it's well worth taking a look at what people have really responded to the most, as I highlight the top three TVs that customers have been buying this Prime Day:

1. Samsung QN90A 55-inch / 50-inch 

This is still my star buy for TVs this Amazon Prime Day. It's Samsung's flagship 2021 Neo QLED set, meaning super brightness, great picture and future-proofing in a high-end design.

Best of all there are two offers: the 50-inch is available for £580 (down from £1199); while the 55-inch is on sale at £799 (down from £1499). Both veritable bargains!

2. Samsung AU7100 43-inch

This one's been popular because of the price: Samsung's more entry-level LED-backlit LCD TV, the AU7100 in 43-inch size, costing just £279, which is a 20% saving on the typical £349 asking price.

3. LG OLED C1 48-inch

There's clearly a soft spot for LG's smaller OLED panel, which you can still pick up for £826 (down from its top-end £1,499 – although you can often buy it around the £999 mark).

That's me done for another year of Amazon Prime Day deals-hunting, but before I go, I thought I'd leave you with my absolute top pick of the bunch. I review TVs for a living, and this is the TV deal that I would spend my money on...

Amazon Prime Members will be able to claim more than 30 free games during Amazon Prime Day this year, including the much-loved Mass Effect Legendary Edition 

Alongside this, subscribers will gain access to Need for Speed, GRID Legends, Heat and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy for no extra cost. Amazon Prime Day is scheduled to take place from July 12th to 13th, 2022. 

A further 25 indie games will be up for grabs in the build-up to Amazon Prime Day, beginning on June 21st and running until July 13th, 2022. Curve Games, HandyGames and SNK are a few of the developers given as examples with Death Squared, Fatal Fury Special, Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, Gone Viral, HUE, Metal Slug 2, Pumped BMX Pro, Samurai Shodown II, The Darkside Detective and The King of Fighters 2002 all set to be available during this time. 

Amazon gives away free games every month. June's selection includes Far Cry 4, Escape From Monkey Island, Astrologaster, Across the Grooves Calico and WRC 8 IFA World Championship.

Undoubtedly, though, Mass Effect Legendary Edition is the biggest giveaway here. Mass Effect is an action RPG series of games with the first three being remastered as part of the Mass Effect Legendary Edition in 2021. Developed by Bioware, the trilogy features new visual enhancements and improvements over the original releases – especially the original that launched in 2007. The series is universally loved, perfect for any fans of space or eagerly awaiting Starfield. 

Amazon Prime costs $10.99 / £7.99 a month or $119 / £79 for an annual subscription. To claim these titles, head to the Prime Gaming website during these dates and within the "Games and Loot" section, you should find the offers available to claim for free.

Mark your calendars right now. Amazon has confirmed that this year's Prime Day event will take place on Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th July 2022. Amazon Prime Day has become a major sales event for the company, as it sees some of the largest discounts on products across the range. 

While it's not quite on the same scale as Black Friday, it does offer a chance to save money in the summer (provided you're a Prime member). While Amazon's own products feature heavily, all areas of the site are included and other retailers have been known to join in with price drops too.

This year sees the timing of Prime Day returning to its normal July slot, rather than the earlier June date in 2021 and the later October event in 2020. However, instead of running on a Monday and Tuesday, the event has shifted forward to run from Tuesday to Wednesday. 

This means that in the UK sales are likely to start at 12.01am on the morning of Tuesday 12th July and finish at 11.59pm on Wednesday. Meanwhile, in the US, sales are predicted to start at 12.01am PST (3.01am EST) on  Tuesday 12th and finish at 11.59pm PST Wednesday (2:59 am EST Thursday).

What will be on sale during Prime Day 2022?

Amazon has confirmed that there will be up to 55% savings on Amazon-branded products, such as the Echo Show 5, Kindle Paperwhite, Luna Controller, Fire 7 Tablet, Ring alarm kit and Blink Video Doorbell. There will also be savings on its Fire TVs in the US. 

It's not just Amazon goods on sale though. Some of its biggest sellers in 2021 included 23andMe DNA tests, Instant Pot pressure cookers and Organic Plant Based Protein Powder. We also saw savings on fashion, toys, kitchenware, household essentials, sports equipment and more. This year there is also a focus on small businesses, with badges to identify them on the site. 

It's a great time to pick up those big items that you've been considering buying for some time, especially if you're flexible with the exact model. My advice is to build up your wishlist now, so you have somewhere to start. As it also means you can see straight away which of those items have been reduced.

In a recent press release, Amazon Prime Day has been confirmed for a July date this year. Following suit of Prime Day 2021, it's a surefire bet that we'll be seeing Amazon's biggest sale day around the same date.

With just over two months to go, Amazon gave some additional details within their first-quarter results press release. While the press release gives a ton of information about Amazon's latest earnings and progress, it unfortunately doesn't provide an exact date for Prime Day 2022.

Last year, Prime Day fell on Monday, July 11 and ran through Tuesday, July 12, offering two full days of incredible deals on tech, electronics, home goods and much more. While there's no confirmation that Prime Day 2022 will be on these same dates, it isn't too far off from the realm of possibility.

This year, July 11 also falls on a Monday meaning the biggest sale day of the year could follow the trend of last year. However, Amazon will most likely release the exact dates and times within the next few weeks.

Amazon's press release states that "This year, Prime Day will take place in July in more than 20 countries. During Amazon’s annual shopping event, Prime members will be able to save on products from national brands and small businesses across every category."

While we've got some time before the big day, the good news is those looking to score some Prime Day-like savings still have Memorial Day sales in the US to check out this month. As with all major sales day now, Memorial Day deals should offer similar deals on all forms of products – including Amazon devices.

But while the discounts during Prime Day hit their limit when it comes to electronics, Memorial Day will offer a wide range of discounts on home goods, electronics, outdoor furniture and more. It's also worth checking our Amazon discount codes page for reductions on products.

Amazon has apparently given us a big clue for when Prime Day 2022 will happen. 

In a new post for sellers (spotted by Digital Commerce 360), the shopping deals bonanza is likely to fall on either July 11 or July 18, both of which are Fridays.

Amazon has given its sellers a cut-off date of June 20 for deliveries that will be eligible for Prime shipping. Analysts that spoke to DC360 suggested this means that the Prime Day sales will happen within weeks, most likely on those dates.

In previous years, the inventory cut-off date has been around 24 days before Prime Day, to give everyone involved ample time to plan for the avalanche of sales. According to the same analyst, July 11 is the most likely date, so put that in your calendar.

"Barring any major any setback, and based on the data and the timing of the information on Seller Central, all the stars are lining up for July 11 or 18," said analyst Fahim Naim, head of Amazon at Advantage Unified Commerce.

Another option would be to have Prime Day on July 4, but for obvious reasons that isn't possible. Expecting people to participate in a sales holiday on Independence Day is a long-shot.

The new information also lines up with T3's own predictions. Prime Day veteran Paul Douglas predicted July 11 and July 12 as the most likely days – and must be feeling pretty satisfied right now.

What to expect from Prime Day 2022? 

We're expecting very big things!

Amazon usually has a lot of discounts and deals on Prime Day, especially if Prime Day 2021 was anything to go by. Expect big discounts on Amazon's Kindles, eero, and more, as well as extensive deals from third-party retailers.

If you're looking to shop one of the very best sales of the year then this is the holiday for you. Well, until Black Friday 2022 comes around, of course.

Amazon Prime Day 2021 was a doozy this year, with a ton of sales prices dropping down to the lowest we've ever seen them. So when the T3 team was asked what we'd be watching out for at the beginning of the week, we were eager to share the products on our wishlist we'd (hopefully!) be buying in the Prime Day sales.

But the best laid plans sometimes mean you're eyeing up a £170 (approx. AU$310) power tool for your home gym in the run up to Prime Day, only to find yourself spooning with a chubby seal plush when the dust clears. It's a crazy time, is what I'm saying. 

We all get caught up in the lightning deals, and seduced by discounts. Sometimes mistakes are made, but maybe we're actually better off afterwards. So what better time to check back in with the team to find out how their Prime Day went and what they actually ended up buying.

Paul Douglas, Content Director: My Prime Day sales plan was to buy a Le Creuset Signature Enamelled Cast Iron Round Casserole Dish. I knew the exact size and colour I wanted and just needed to wait for the price to drop. It had been priced at an eye watering £230 (approx. AU$420) and a day or so before Prime Day kicked off, I saw that it had dropped to £176.85 (approx. AU$320) – and it was showing as low stock. On Sunday evening, with Prime Day not starting until midnight, I was about to place my order but then I thought “Hold on, it’s not even Prime Day yet, I should wait to see if it drops further,” (because I am a savvy deals shopper, obviously). 

The next morning the price had gone back to £230 and it stayed at that price throughout the Prime Day period. So at 6pm on the Tuesday, with just a matter of hours to go before Prime Day ended, I bought these sweet Bose 700 headphones at the lowest ever price of £209.99 (approx. AU$380) instead. OK, I can’t cook a beef bourguignon in the Bose, but they look and sound amazing and I’m looking forward to having them when I return to working in the office in a few weeks. The Le Creuset can wait for Black Friday.

Spencer Hart, Style and Travel Editor: I love sales, but I don't like parting with my money unless I really need something. I originally wanted a new hose (glamourous, I know) but then I looked back at my short, leaking hose and decided it would do the job for a few more months. 

Instead, I got another Google Nest Mini, so now I've got Google Assistant in all of the major rooms of my house. It was only £22 (approx. AU$40), which for such a useful device seems like a steal. It’s actually now only £19 (approx. AU$35), which has annoyed me a little. What I really needed was a plasterer to plaster my living room, but Amazon didn't discount any of those during Prime Day, so I'll have to wait for Black Friday instead. 

Duncan Bell, Lifestyle Editor: I was thinking of buying this Philips air fryer for my other half but then I decided we really didn’t need it, and if he’s that bothered, he can buy one himself anyway. 

In fact, I pretty much resolved not to buy anything because the secret of sales is to buy something you really want or need, while it’s cheaper. Not, as less skilled shoppers all too often do, buying something nobody needs, just because it’s 25% off. 

However, following an office conversation about how Xbox restocks – followed by immediate Xbox sellouts – make the consoles even more irresistible to people, I ended up buying, yes, a roasting tin. 

It was an odd mental leap, maybe, but the Xbox talk reminded me I had been meaning to get a second Eaziglide Neverstick3 Professional Non-Stick Induction roaster. It’s easily the best roasting tin I’ve ever used but it’s a John Lewis exclusive, and was sold out for months. But now it’s back, baby. There was no money off whatsoever, so it perhaps wasn’t the canniest sales purchase ever, but there it is. 

Ruth Hamilton, Outdoors and Wellness Editor: My plan for Prime Day was simple: one cheap 3rd gen Echo Dot only, stay focused, don't get suckered in by the phrases like 'lowest price ever!' flying around. Obviously, It didn't pan out that way. I bought my Dot, and then I found some excellent bargain Duplo for my niece, so that went into the basket too. Then someone mentioned these reusable bamboo make-up remover pads were down to under £7 (approx. AU$12), which is practically nothing, and next thing I knew I was at the checkout again. 

This was not my last purchase of the event. Defences lowered as a result of having got up at 5am on both days so I could start bringing you those sweet deals you were so eager for, on Tuesday I allowed myself to be gently cajoled into buying a pair of Sony WH-1000XM3 noise cancelling headphones for – yes – the lowest price ever. I don't regret it; they're as awesome as everyone says.

Matt Kollat, Fitness and Nutrition Writer: Looking at deals for too long on Amazon Prime Day is never a good idea. Chances are, the more you’re looking at deals, the more likely you’ll buy something. And as opposed to buying stuff you actually need, which in my case were the Sportsroyals Power Tower and the Echo Buds, you’ll end up buying random stuff such as this Blob Seal Pillow or a cleaning slime putty.

But as well as those, I also bought the Microsoft Wireless Desktop 3050 keyboard and mouse set so I can get rid of some of the cabled-in peripherals from my desk. The latter was also a great purchase so I can tell people I’m not a child, only buying plush toys and slime putties on Amazon Prime Day. That said, I can’t imagine how I lived my life without the blob seal pillow up until now: it brought me so much joy already.

Yasmine Crossland, Reviews Editor: Before the sale, I had my heart set on buying Apple AirPods, but when it came down to it I couldn’t take the leap. After thinking long and hard, I decided I just wasn’t ready to part with over £100 for a pair of AirPods, instead, thinking to myself “maybe next time.”

I had also planned to keep an eye out for a Kindle Paperwhite deal, and that I did succumb to. With a discount of 33% taking it down from £119.99 (approx. AU$220) to just £79.99 (approx. AU$145), it really felt worth it. As it could be a while before I’m sitting on a Greek beach with my Kindle in one hand and a cocktail in the other, I’ll have to make do with Regent’s Park, clutching an umbrella instead of a Margarita. Oh, and to rid my home of cling film I bought a set of Beeswax wraps as well.

I didn't really expect to see a discount on my Prime Day dream deal – the PS5 PULSE 3D Wireless Headset . I already have three headsets and a pair Sony wired earbuds so realistically, I wasn't planning on parting with any money. 

But then Paul dropped a link in Slack for the Sony WH-1000XM3 noise cancelling wireless headphones, with the fateful words: "cheapest ever price". He wasn't lying. The next thing you know I was getting an order confirmation and joined the masses off Prime Day deals shoppers wondering if I'd made an unnecessary splurge. 

I'm glad to say, the headphones are fantastic. My current lineup consists of the Audio-Technica ATH-G1, Razer Nari Ultimate, and an old pair of Turtle Beach Ear Force Z60s. The WH-1000XM3s fill the gaping void I didn't know I had; lightweight, unobtrusive, and stylish to boot with top notch sound. They're 40% off on Amazon right now, so if you want to join Ruth and I – who both succumbed in Slack – head on over there. 

Ian Morris, Editor: While I really wanted Amazon Santa to bring me a high definition Blu-ray player it turned out on the day that he wasn’t prepared to take less than big money for one. So I gave up on enjoying movies and bought a bunch of other stuff instead. 

I got another SanDisk SD card, because 64GB was cheap and I still shoot on a DSLR. I also got a microSD card so I have something for any upcoming Raspberry Pi project I might want to indulge in. I’m considering building a smart home using Pi, so that’ll be handy. I also got an Xbox controller, even though it wasn’t cheap and I despise the fact they cost fifty quid. I need it for GTA and Forza. 

Buying the beautiful Lowepro Flipside 350 wasn’t a mistake, per se, but it’s a bit small. I need something that can take my camera, a laptop, and some clothes. This holds the camera and three lenses fine, but it will only really take a small tablet and approximately one shoe. I’m going to return this one and wait for Black Friday to get a bigger one. 

Winner of the purchases though was the Instant Pot. That arrived and I was more excited about it than almost anything else. These are always cheap on Prime Day and Black Friday and it’s taken me five years to get one. It’s fab though, the instructions are clear, simple, and written with care, and I’m excited to cook things under enough pressure. 

Everyone's Prime Day plans fell apart to some degree, but the team got some great deals that haven't them full of regret, happily. We hope we managed to hook you up with some tasty deals too!

The lawnmower is the one I'm particular grateful for, because I'm having to cut the grass so often with this mix of rain and sun. With a corded lawnmower, there's a lot of hassle involved. I use flicks of the wrist to throw it off to the side of where I'm cutting if I need to go back and forth over a patch. It slows you down, and it's something you need to keep in mind all the time. It made mowing the law into A Big Event for me, psychologically.

I switched to a cordless lawnmower, though, and now it takes me 10 mins for my small garden. I just squeeze it into a quiet moment at the weekend or an evening – it's so quick, it's no disruption at all. It takes literally one minute from deciding to do it to starting to do it, since all you do is grab the mower from the shed, unfold the handles, and go. And then you don't have to think about cables at all! You just go back and forth over a patch as much as you like, at the speed you like. You change direction however you want, with no worries about getting tangled.

When a job is easier and faster to do, it feels much less like a chore, and more like just some little task you're happy to get done and move on. I get three cuts of my lawn between charges, though obviously that will vary wildly depending on your garden.

 Honestly, a cordless lawnmower is one of the best buys I've ever made, so I'm strongly recommending this Prime Day deal, for a mower from a brand people know and love, if you want to make your summer (and every future summer) a lot easier.

As for the cordless hedge trimmer… well, you can probably guess the real-life story that's turned me into a convert for going cord-free there. I think my cordless lawnmowing life made me too complacent about the risk of cutting it, but anyway – I had a great mid-range corded hedge trimmer from Bosch, then I suddenly had a tripped breaker and a non-functional hedge trimmer with cable in two pieces, and then I had a hedge trimmer that worked again but had a much shorter cable following a trip to the electrical shop.

Including fixing my dumb mistake, my corded hedge trimmer has now cost me as much as the cordless one below, I so recommend you skip learning my lesson and just go straight to the smarter buy.

The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag is affordable and now thanks to the best Prime Day deals it's even cheaper. I already own one, but you’d better believe I’m buying a couple more before the day’s up. 

Before I get further into it, it’s only owners of Samsung Galaxy smartphones, tablets or laptops that will want to buy this. Everyone else should check out the Apple AirTag or Tile devices. But if you do own Samsung Galaxy devices then you need this in your life - you’ll never lose your keys, wallet or your phone again. 

The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag is 50% off for Prime Day making it only £15 to buy. Its more feature-packed sibling has also been reduced, from £39.99 to £27.99, a discount of 30% and the cheapest it’s been since its release.  If you go for the more expensive Plus version, you'll get more precise tracking and extra smart features like augmented reality.

So what’s so great about it, I hear you ask? You attach it to your keys, your bag, slip it in your purse, keep it in your luggage (if we’re ever allowed on a plane again) - you can more or less put it with anything you don’t want to lose. Then, if you do misplace your possessions, you can use your phone to find them.

I've been using it for a while now, and it's only become more useful to me the longer I've had it. I'm really prone to losing my keys. Most of the time I lose them around the house but a couple of weeks ago I visited a restaurant and walked out, leaving them on the table. I was reunited with them in a matter of minutes though, as I had attached the SmartTag to one of the keyrings.

When I realised I was keyless, I just opened up the SmartThings app where there's a section called SmartThings Find. It shows you the precise location of your Galaxy devices on a map, even when you are out of Bluetooth range. To do so, it gets help from Samsung's huge network of Galaxy devices in the area. It's a life-saver. That's what really sets it apart from the competition like Tile. You can find the tag using an alert noise as well, which you activate from the app. So my keys are covered, but now I want a couple more to put in my purse and my passport holder. That way I'll never lose track of either of them.

That's not all it does though. Before owning the tag, I was constantly wandering around the house searching for my phone. Eventually, I'd find it in my jeans pocket or mixed up in the bedsheets. And while I do still leave my phone in weird places, the days of hunting for ages are gone because the tag actually works both ways. When I press the button on it twice in quick succession, it makes my phone ring even if it's on Vibrate or Mute. That feature has saved me more times than I care to admit.

You can also set the button on the tag to control elements of your smart home, like if you wanted to use it to switch on a light as you arrive home.

With the pricier version, the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag Plus, the coolest way of finding the tag is through the augmented reality feature on your smartphone camera. It'll visually point you in the direction of the tag and show you how far away you are, as well as giving you far more precise tracking information. One of the main downsides of IPL machines is that they're expensive (although actually if you figured it out compared to the cost of getting professionally waxed for a year or two, for example, it wouldn't look so bad). This deal makes it much more reasonable.

I'm a man of many talents, as they say, and as well as being fairly knowledgeable about everything fitness, I also love a bit of cleaning every now and then. Should you buy the ColorCoral Cleaning Slime Putty on Amazon Prime Day?

The real question to ask here is why should you not buy the cleaning putty: your keyboard looks disgusting and you probably haven't cleaned it for a while now. Worse still, even if you tried, usually you can't clean the spaces in between the keys, making the situation even worse as you just get the holes around the keys filled up with dirt when you try to wipe the top of the keyboard clean.

I'm looking at my keyboard as I write this and honestly, as much as I try to keep it clean, it looks revolting, can't wait for the cleaning putty to arrive. I could always take the keyboard apart and clean it properly – something I should do soon, judging by the state of these keys – but I'll make using the putty part of my daily routine so the keyboard is kept at least somewhat clean.

And it's not just keyboards you can clean with the putty, it's also great for cleaning car air vents, apparently, another thing that bugs me with its uncleanliness. Those thin vents sprinkled all over the dashboard are dust magnets, but I think the cleaning putty will be able to sort the situation out soon enough. This magical cleaning tool can also clean dusty plant leaves, as it turned out!

Being a fitness writer and a person generally very interested in fitness, I'm exposed to a lot of great products, whether these are running shoes, dumbbells or rowing machines. The best Prime Day deals include a bunch of great Garmin watch deals and Fitbit deals but I'm not after those right now. There are quite a few good workout shoes and running shoes deals too but I have plenty of those as well. No, I'm after home gym equipment deals this year.

Much like everyone else during the lockdown, I build a semi-decent home gym that now includes multiple dumbbells, kettlebells and barbells, along with a weight bench and 100-kilo worth of weight plates. My flat is starting to look like a stockroom in a commercial gym but there are still a few things that are missing and I want to add to the mix.

I wouldn't mind having a decent ab roller and a pull up bar so I can expand on my bodyweight workout regime and get arms as big as Chris Hemsworth, the owner of the arms of gods and someone I shoehorn into every conversation I have, much to the delight of everybody who's willing to have a conversation with me at this point.

Although I already have a couple of hex dumbbells, I wouldn't mind owning a pair of adjustable dumbbells, like the MuscleSquad 32.5kg Adjustable Dumbbell I tested recently or maybe a smaller model such as the PowerBlock Sport 2.4 Adjustable Dumbbell. Having one of these would really improve my delt workout game!

It's day 2 of the Prime Day sales, and there's a top GoPro bundle offer that's set to expire in a matter of hours. It's amongst today's best Prime Day deals.

GoPro has long been the undisputed king of the action camera world. All the cams in the range – or at least the last few years worth of models – are rammed with features and able to take incredibly high quality images and video. Plus you could happily chuck one off a cliff or drive over it in a tank without breaking it (probably. Please don't try the cliff thing.). They dominate the top half of our best action camera ranking. The downside to all this is that at full price, they're pretty expensive. 

However, this Prime Day deal makes the HERO 8 Black excellent value. The HERO 8 Black isn't quite the newest or best GoPro – it came out in 2020, and has since been replaced by the HERO 9 Black – but it's still an incredible camera. For all but the most demanding users, it'll do everything you want it to plus a fair bit more (find out all about it in our GoPro HERO 8 Black review).

You might be thinking 'I don't need a bundle, surely it's cheaper just to buy a HERO 8 Black on its own'. You'd be wrong. 

On GoPro right now the H8 Black, with a 32GB SD card but none of the other bits and bobs, costs £259.98. So that's a tenner more than the Amazon bundle. Note that the GoPro price does include a 1-year subscription to GoPro (with unlimited cloud storage and camera replacement), which you may or may not see as a good thing.

Why is this deal good?

This is the best price we've ever seen on this bundle at Amazon, by some way. And while you might be assuming you don't want accessories with your GoPro, you actually can't get that far without them. Just holding onto the GoPro itself while shooting is surprisingly awkward. You get a few basic mounting accessories with the GoPro as standard – the Curved Adhesive Mount and Mounting Buckle, along with a Thumb Screw.

However, the bundle includes a Shorty, which is a mini extension pole grip (useful just as a way to hold on to the GoPro easily, as well as giving more distance for selfie shots) that opens up to become a tripod (for static hands-free capture), as well as a headstrap (for POV footage). In short, it opens up a whole load of shooting options.

Is there anyone who shouldn't buy this?  

I think this is a great choice for most people. However, it's not going to be perfect for everyone. 

The main thing the HERO 8 lacks is a front-facing screen. This is important if you want to do a lot of self-taped pieces to camera, with the background properly framed in shot. If that sounds like you, you might need to shell out for the current flagship HERO 9 Black, or for a (much) cheaper price but a less good camera, the DJI Osmo Action (this has specs more in line with the Hero 7 Black). You'll find widgets showing the best prices for those two cameras below. 

It's also true that the HERO 8 Black might be overkill for some users. You'll find more basic options at around the £150 mark in our roundup of the best budget action cameras.

When you're looking at Amazon Prime Day deals for as long as I do (it feels like it's been weeks by now), after a while, you get bored with finding the best Prime Day deals and you start looking for all the weird stuff that's on offer. That's when you'll find stuff like egg-shaped kids crayons and revolving condiment holders, both pure gold if you ask me. But even those pale in comparison with the weirdest deal I found: a six pack of hamster chew toys which includes a hamster swing. And yes, hamsters do use swings, I linked a video below to prove it.

Admittedly, chew toys for hamsters will not come in handy if you haven't got a hamster as such, something Amazon doesn't sell as far as I'm concerned. Or don't sell just yet, I'm sure at some point in the not so distant future you will be able to buy animals at Amazon too.

But if you haven't got a hamster, should you buy this set? Maybe your child can use them as a swing for Barbies (not that kind of swing) or you can possibly even use it as decoration around the house? Come to think of it, maybe it's not the best idea to give small wooden toys to smaller children, so maybe that isn't a great idea after all.

On second thought, you could use the swing in the garden and I'm sure a local squirrel would love to munch on that fake wooden carrot. Of all the Amazon devices I have bought, the one that gets the most use is the Amazon Echo Show 5, which I currently have situated in my kitchen.

And considering I rate it really highly and that it is currently discounted in the best Prime Day deals bonanza, I thought I would explain why I think for most people it would be a good product to pick up.

The Amazon Echo Show 5 is the baby of Amazon's screen-toting smart speaker range, coming with a 5-inch screen. This means that it is really compact and, simply put, fits in to basically any room, and especially considering it comes in three colorways, including Charcoal, Deep Sea Blue and Glacier White.

I have the charcoal version on my black granite kitchen worktop and it blends in seamlessly.

Here are today's best Amazon Prime Day deals on the Echo Show 5, both in its 1st and 2nd generation.

So in my usage case scenario I use the Amazon Echo Show 5 as a kitchen companion. I play music and the radio through it while cooking, watch videos on it while preparing veg, and when I want to try something new I often follow recipes on it as well. Occasionally when I'm taking a break with a drink I'll read a news story on it, or get Alexa to read it to me.

But of course, the beauty with the Amazon Echo Show 5 is that while I'm using it as a kitchen companion, someone else might use it instead as a bedside alarm clock, while another might have it positioned in their living room as the smart home hub they use to control their lighting, heating, security and audio systems, for example.

There's both the Amazon Echo Show 5 1st Gen on the market, as well as the Amazon Echo Show 5 2nd Gen, and both offer a very similar experience to each other (the only real upgrade on the 2nd Gen is a slightly better camera). Both generations are discounted this Amazon Prime Day, too, meaning that there's plenty of options for deal hunters.

There is also the Amazon Echo Show 8 and Amazon Echo Show 10 in this range, which as you would expect deliver larger screens (8-inch and 10-inch respectively), but for me the compact Echo Show 5 is the most versatile and a product I find it easy to recommend from my own experience with it.

The Waterpik Aquarius Water Flosser is currently on sale for $39.93 in the Amazon Prime Day sales, which is 43% off the regular price of $69.99. I bought one at full price just over a year ago, and I’d recommend it to everyone – and usually do.

I was apprehensive about the idea of water flossing at first, but I was lazy and didn’t always floss the regular way as much as I should, and this sounded like the easy route. My gums also weren’t in the best of shape, so I knew I needed to give them some more attention.

After some careful research, I landed on Waterpik as they had some great reviews. They weren’t the cheapest but for your money, but you seemed to get more features and power than others. Though the portable options looked nice, the countertop Aquarius had a much larger water tank and range of pressures and settings. Plus it comes in a choice of colors, so you can match your bathroom – if you’re into that type of thing.

Using a water flosser takes a little getting used to. The standard nozzle provides a concentrated jet of water that if directed wrongly can feel sore. It can also make quite a mess of your bathroom. My first mistake was trying to floss with my mouth open – water everywhere.

In addition to three of the classic tips, it comes with three specialist tips and a toothbrush tip to allow you to brush and floss in one go. For daily use though, the classic tip was the one I settled on – and as there’s three included, you can have one for other members of your family. There are two modes: floss, which gives a constant stream, and massage which pulses. You also have a pressure level that goes from one to 10.

I’d advise anyone new to water flossing to start low on the pressure levels and build up, as you need to get your technique right and get your gums used to the pressure too, especially if they are sensitive. I tend to settle around level 8 now, but a 3 or 4 is still strong enough to do the job. It’s also worth noting not to fill it with very cold water if you plan to use it straight away, as that can be a little abrasive. Stick to lukewarm water, or fill it when you finish, so it’s ready for next time.

It's impressive just how effective the water jet is in getting between your teeth and removing any bits of food or plaque lodged in there. Using it twice or even three times a day is easy and quickly becomes part of your routine. My hygienist recommends that people use a water flosser but also use regular tape floss to get at the tougher bits, so it’s best to do a bit of both.

If you haven’t got one already, or you have a portable model, I can’t recommend this model enough. And with these savings, you’re getting a bargain.

While Prime Day is in full force right now across much of the globe, including the US and UK, Amazon Canada has chosen to postpone the sale. According to the announcement on Amazon.ca, the decision was made to focus on the safety of its employees and to support its customers and selling partners.

This means that while we in the UK and US are snapping up the best Prime Day deals, our friends north of the border won’t be seeing any savings. The logistics behind getting the massive increase in sales out to the customers means lots more staff in warehouses and out delivering the boxes.

Though Canada’s COVID-19 cases have dropped in recent months, only 18% of the nation are fully vaccinated and its borders with the US remain closed. Hopefully, Canada will still see a Prime Day later in the year and will make us all jealous when it does. For now though, we’ll try and save you a few Fire TVs.

If you hadn't noticed Amazon's Prime Day sale is well underway, and customers in the UK have been busy shopping the hundreds of thousands of deals since the sale began on Monday 21st June… but which of the best Prime Day deals have been the most popular?

There have been tens of thousands of ‘Lightning Deals’, many of which were reported on by T3. These deals are available in limited quantities, for a matter of hours, with new deals becoming available as often as every five minutes.

There really has been a deal for everyone, from blockbuster iPad and console deals, to niche products most people have never heard of.

It has been a mega year for deals, with customers ordering more than 2 million deals. That's the largest number of deals in the shopping event’s 7-year history.

There have been a few stand out deals, however, and these have been the most popular products over Prime Day. 

For example, there was 30-percent (or more) off Amazon smart home products, and some of the biggest Apple Watch Series 6 discounts we've ever seen. 

There was also up to 80-percent on men's fragrances and we found all of the deals on products we've awarded 5-starts in our review.

And guess what, there are still a load of deals in stock! 

As you can probably imagine, a lot of the best most popular products are Amazon devices, such as the Echo Dot, which is currently half price, and the Ring Video Doorbell.

We love a good luxury watch here at T3, whether it's the Award Winning Tudor Black Bay Fifty Eight 925, or the recently announced Breitling x Ironman, I even own a few luxury watches, but, since the start of the pandemic and working from home, I've found myself wearing much more affordable watches, like the Timex Expedition Scout.

Despite being such a budget piece, I rate it highly and that it is currently discounted in the best Prime Day deals bonanza, I thought I would explain why I think for most people should by an affordable watch as part of their watch collection.

The Timex Expedition Scout is a simple field watch design. It's intended to be your companion on adventures and inspire you to take the road less travelled. The watch built for the great outdoors, basically, and, as such, means it can stand a lot of abuse.

Now, you may not be climbing a mountain anytime soon, but you might be fixing a dishwasher, or digging a hole in the garden, or painting a room. You wouldn't want to wear your favourite watch during any of those tasks, but this durable and affordable watch is perfect for the job.

It's nice to wear a watch that you don't need to baby, or worry if it picks up a scratch. It's liberating, in a way.

The titanium case is water-resistant to 100 meters and the dial is protected by scratch-resistant mineral glass, so you really can throw any abuse at this watch and it'll take it.

I find the 40mm size perfect, and it's lightweight too.

One of the features I find most useful is that instead of traditional lume, the Expedition Scout uses Timex's Indiglo backlight technology, which illuminates the entire watch face when the crown is press in. That makes it incredibly easy to ready in the dark.
