A pair of tablets were launched, the Mini and the much more interesting Microsoft Surface Pro.
Measuring in at 10.6-inches in size and featuring a rugged Gorilla Glass 2 display the Pro comes with a 1920 x 1080p Full HD ClearType resolution, the much anticipated Windows 8 and will play host to an ultrabook-competing Intel CPU.
With a metal back it also hosts full size USB 3.0 connector and the option of 64GB or 128GB storage capacities. It's not the lightest tablet on the planet with a 862gram heft but it measures in at 13.5mm thin.
Along with the tablets, Microsoft is also offering a range of full QWERTY keyboard and trackpad toting cases connecting to the device in Apple Smartcover-esque magnetic fashion.
No confirmed release date from Microsoft Surfaces yet, but expect the tablets and Windows 8 to land soon. For all the latest Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 news, reviews and features, keep it locked to T3.com
