RIM today announced the arrival of the Blackberry Storm, but what will it be pipped up against? We've rounded up this motley crew of smartphones to see if the Storm could take the smartie crown?

BlackBerry Bold 9000

Love: Punchy, bright screen. Still best for email. Decent talk time. 3G and Wi-Fi for rapid surfing

Hate: Quirky operating system. Too wide for comfy or non-stupid-looking calling. Basic camera.

We say: The fastest, coolest and most effective BlackBerry so far, and a true iPhone rival.

Storm breaker: Well the fact is the Storm whoops the Bold's tush.
