Siemens CFX65

Its biggest selling point is that it changes to different shades of lilac. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Karma, karma, karma, chameleon... Yes, it's Siemens' latest gimmick to shift clamshells. No, not Boy George on a canal boat, but a special chameleon coating that makes the lilac exterior shimmer in, er, other shades of lilac. Great if you like pale pastels, but not so great if you don't.

Still, it's got a reasonable VGA camera with bright LED flash (which doubles as a torch in emergencies) and a cunning "loop" antenna for a neck strap. Inside there's a nicely laid-out keypad and Siemens' usual excellent contacts and diary management. It's just a shame the internal display is a cheap and muddy STN one.

WE HATE
