Siemens CF62
Lightweight and loaded with features, but tacky design lets it down
Siemens' new budget phone has a few good things going for it, not least tri-band functionality, a healthy five hours of talk time and a pendant loop which doubles as a cleverly concealed external aerial. But it suffers from a dull design and cheap, plasticky casing - even the attempt to jazz it up with yellow flashing lights down the sides has backfired, since they look so low-rent. Still, the handset's very light at 85g, it has a cool- looking ice-blue outer screen with a pretty decent 65,000-colour main display and you can add a camera accessory to make full use of its MMS capabilities.
