RIM BlackBerry 7130g smart phone

All the famous Blackberry features in a pocket-friendly phone.

Want the features of a BlackBerry in something that looks like a conventional mobile phone? Then this portable emailer is right up your street.

This angular black and silver handset houses all the mobile communication gubbins that made BlackBerry famous. Alongside a Web browser, push email sends messages directly to the phone so you can access your emails on the go. You can also sync the device to access your contacts remotely, using the included desktop software.

To do anything, though, you'll need to master the "keyboard". It's Qwerty but not as you know it, with two letters on each key and predictive text to fathom what you're trying to say. Welcoming to neither texters nor typists, it takes some getting used to, but once you get the knack, it's not too bad.

The excellent screen automatically adjusts its brightness depending on the ambient light. The interface is also swish, although some more obscure features use 80s-ish text-based menus.

BlackBerrys have always had great tech, but in off-puttingly chunky cases. This comparatively stylish unit goes a long way towards solving that.
