Palm Treo Pro smartphone review

It's all in your Palm..

The latest phone from PDA stalwarts Palm uses Windows Mobile which offers familiarity to PC users, but is frankly hard work. Thankfully there's a neat Palm front end overlaying it.

It's the first Palm with GPS but, despite squeezing that, 3G and wi-fi in, it's slim and fits the hand well.

Windows Mobile is seldom fast, but feels reasonably speedy here and the 2.5-inch touchscreen, though a bit pokey, is sensitive and sharp.

Palm always add neat little gizmos; this one packs a dedicated side button that launches Wi-Fi and starts searching. For another trick, the slider silences the ringer. Suits will love it.
