Nike Philips MP3RUN PSA260

A sleek-looking MP3 player from the Nike-Philips partnership. Shame its function doesn't quite match its form.

The Philips-Nike partnership hasn't exactly set the world on fire, and unfortunately this latest product won't do much to change the situation. Designed for keen runners, the package includes a pretty chunky 256MB MP3 player that connects over Bluetooth to a smallish pedometer. You can press a button on the player and a voice will dictate your current speed and the distance covered on your run. This data can also be uploaded to a PC so you can track your training progress. The data- logging side works well, but music downloads to the player are slow, the buttons are difficult to press properly and it's not very loud. Overall, it's a bit of a disappointment.
