YouTube now streaming full-length TV shows such as Peep Show and IT Crowd

How very generous of YouTube and its content partners

In a quest to save us from trawling BitTorrent, YouTube is now streaming full-length TV shows for free to anyone interested in shows such as IT Crowd, Peep Show, Derren Brown and Gordon Ramsay's F Word.

The launch comes after rumours YouTube was partnering with Channel 4 to put its 4OD catch-up TV on the site. Over 5,000 videos are on offer on the Shows section of YouTube, with the website anticipating even more will be added once the ball gets rolling. It's not free from advertising however, with Virgin Media, Universal, Samsung and others currently showing their wares, but that's a small price to pay when you're able to stream full episodes.

With over 1 billion videos being watched daily, YouTube has also inked deals with BBC Worldwide, to include video clips of shows like Eastenders and Top Gear.
