Xbox owners switch to PS3 for Christmas titles
Dual console owners prefer the PS3
Xbox 360 owners are defecting to the PS3 for the holiday surge of multiformat games, according to analysts at OTX. Their report found that gamers that bought Assassin’s Creed and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on Xbox 360 will now switch to the PS3 version for their upcoming sequels.

OTX figures show that 15 per cent of people who plan to buy Assassin’s Creed 2 own the original on Xbox 360. By comparison, only 7 per cent of those planning to buy it on Xbox 360 owned the original on PS3.
OTX even goes as far as to predict that PS3 sales of Modern Warfare 2 will surpass those on Xbox 360 - a promising sign for the PS3, which has failed to outsell the Xbox 360 on the majority of multiformat titles.
Speaking to Gamasutra, OTX analyst, Nick Williams, said that these holiday sales could set a lasting trend. “The PS3 seems poised to shift the ratio of Xbox 360 to PS3 sales for most major multi-platform releases in its favour among dual owners.”
Could it be that next year the PS3 finally topples the Xbox 360?

I'm a sucker for the 360 Achievements so buy all multiplats on that. Also my OCD would mean I couldn't have first game on one console and the second on another console. The PS3 first party lineup is looking much stronger going forward unless MS have lots they haven't announced.
