Mango's only just been previewed, but Tango is just around the corner.
Windows Phone Tango set for 2012?
The next version of Windows Phone looks set to be named Tango and is likely to follow the forthcoming Mango update in 2012. That’s according to sources from handset maker Compal, speaking to Digitimes.
Compal builds phones for Nokia and is said to be expecting a massive Windows Phone push in the next few months. And while Mango is a big part of its plans, sources say Compal has signed up Microsoft to bring Tango to new phones next year.
It’s the first time we’ve got word of what the Big M’s mobile plans are beyond this year. That said, there are no details of what the update might bring or when exactly it will be released.
