Despite the same level of security you'd expect at a military base, Nintendo it appears, has let some lucky few get close to the console itself

Pictures have surfaced showing what Nintendo's Wii U console will look like, making a change from the huge focus on arguably it's more important controller.

Snapped in the wild, the pictures (of which there are a grand total of two), show it's surprisingly small form-factor, contrasting with the latest rumours that the Wii U would be more powerful than a PS3.

Although we've already seen the console, we've only ever seen the front, whereas these new shots give some idea of the connectivity, showing a HDMI port alongside the power, network ports and a couple of USB ports.

So can this surprisingly small console really be as powerful if not more than it's competitors? Let us know what you think on Facebook and Twitter.
