Wii hard disk next month
Games-obsessed tipsters say a truckload of memory will soon hit the Wii in the shape of an add-on hard drive.
Well tickle our Wiimotes and call us Susan. It looks as if Nintendo's about to unveil an add-on hard drive for its diminutive games machine, opening up oodles of space for more games downloads.
According to our thumb-twitching colleagues at CVG , ninty will show of its disk spinning console companion at this year's E3, kicking off on July 11th.
It makes perfect sense to add a hard disk to the Wii. There are USB ports in place to hook it up, and a boost for the console's titchy 512mb storage would let gamers download more and more impressive titles.
We've heard there's a new download store coming from Nintendo, separate from the Virtual Console we know and love, and packing fully-blown Wii games. Could this be the repository we'll need to save them?
