Apple has refreshed its range of iPods at its eagerly awaited iPhone launch event with the much loved Apple iPod Touch getting a white hued makeover.
With Apple controlling 78 per cent of the portable media player market according the CEO Tim Cook, the newly unveiled iPod Touch looks set to be atop many a Christmas wishlist despite little changing on the iOS touting touchscreen device.
New iPod Touch Specs
Maintaining the same minimalist form factor as the 2010 offering the new iPod Touch will line up at just 7.2mm thick the new iPod Touch will once again feature both rear-mounted and forward-facing cameras with a 960 x 600p Retina display included.
The only notable changes between the new fifth-generation iPod Touch and its predecessor is the inclusion of the recently unveiled iOS 5 mobile operating system and the availability of the new white model.
New iPod Touch Release Date and Price
Set to land alongside the iOS 5 system rollout the new iPod Touch will be available to buy from October 12th with pricing for the 8GB, 32GB and 64GB models lower than last years releases set at £169, £249 and £329 respectively.
