The new Apple iPod Touch will be on the receiving end of a new colour when it launches later this year, but other specs are likely to stay the same, new reports suggest
Apple’s iPod touch looks certain to get a paint job in the next few weeks, with Apple set to reveal a white version of its bestselling PMP.
That, however, is just about the only change that will be made to the device, with internal specs staying the same, new reports have claimed.
The information comes from MacRumors, which says it has got hold of the full skinny on Apple’s upgrade. As well as the new white look, the screen will get an oleophobic coating and there’ll be a new ambient light sensor.
That suggests any talk of a so-called iPod touch 3G is wide of the mark. The new media player is expected to be revealed alongside the iPhone 5 at a special Apple event in the first week of October.
