Apple's repeatedly delayed white iPhone 4 lands with new issues
Apple’s long awaited and now available white iPhone 4 has caused quite a stir since its overdue arrival last week with latest reports suggesting the white hued device is thicker than its black counterpart.
Whilst we here at T3 Towers have lined the two devices up and eyed them from every perceivable angle to see that maybe, perhaps, just possibly the new white device is a smidge thicker than a well worn black model, MacRumors has released an image that appears to show a noticeable difference between the two handsets.
The reports, that claim the white iPhone 4 is 0.2mm thicker than the black model, have been refuted by Apple head Philip Schiller who responded to speculation via Twitter proclaiming: It is not thicker, don’t believe all the junk that you read.”
One reason being suggested for the white iPhone 4’s slightly increased girth is additional layers of paint, a theory that would fall in line with the painting issues Apple had with the device that caused the lighter toned device to touch down ten months behind schedule.
