White iPad 2 spotted ahead of Wednesday's launch event

Apple's second-gen tablet to get white-toned makeover

White iPad 2 leaks online ahead of official unveiling

Just days ahead of the official unveiling of the second-generation iPad, leaked pictures of a white iPad 2 have emerged suggesting the imminent arrival of a lighter-hued tablet.

The picture, which reportedly appeared in the inbox of Apple bloggers 9 to 5 Mac, shows the outer screen frame from the upcoming iPad 2 sporting a white coat of paint, something which the company has failed to yet master on its latest handset release, the Apple iPhone 4.

Once again hinting towards the seemingly guaranteed, the latest iPad 2 leak shows the white tablet shell touting a cut-out for a small forward-facing camera. The widely predicted inclusion for the second-generation iPad is reported to come sporting Apple's FaceTime video calling technology.

Set to be unveiled later this week on March 2nd, Apple’s imminent tablet update is also expected to see the device come sporting a slimmer form factor and a second, higher-res camera positioned around the back. With the last official word from Apple on the heavily delayed white iPhone 4 suggesting a spring arrival, we could well see the lighter-toned iPhone 4 touchdown alongside its colour copying tablet counterpart.
