We7 music streaming app for Android launched

Spotify rival comes with a free two week trial

Spotify is no longer the only streaming show in town.

Music streaming service We7 is hoping to poach would-be Spotify customers with a free two-week trial of its new Android application which launches today.

The app, which is available to download from the Android Market now, will cost users a Spotify-matching £9.99-a-month for unlimited streaming once the suck-it-and-see period has ended.

We7 boasts an online library of six million songs, with app users having full access to those as well as unlimited storage for off-line playlists. Spotify limits its users to downloading around 3,000 songs to play when out of range.

The app also syncs with the PC version of the service, which means making new playlists and adjusting them to be played across both platforms. Naturally, you can also play songs over 3G or Wi-Fi.

So, if you're looking for free music for two weeks on your Android phone, or you're a Spotify user looking to weigh-up the competition, why not give this app a try and let us know what you think on Twitter or Facebook.
