Cast your votes now for the T3 Gadget Awards 2012, and you could win a new Apple iPad
Voting is now open in the 2012 T3 Gadget Awards with this year’s celebration of the cream of the tech world crop set to be bigger and better than ever.
Following a bumper turnout in 2011 that saw almost 1 million reader votes cast across 19 categories, the world’s largest consumer technology awards are back with your votes once again needed to sort the futuristic wheat from the gadget chaff.
With votes able to be cast now through the awards.t3.com site, we need your help in whittling the 10 gadgets, manufacturers, retailers and personalities per each of the 19 categories down to an elite shortlist that will then venture forth in the hope of claiming the industry’s most respected prize later this year.
As well as giving you the opportunity to shape the fate of the industry leaders and have your say on what handsets, accessories and home gadgets are the best in their respective categories, all voters have the opportunity to be entered into a free prize draw to win a new Apple iPad.
“This year promises to be the biggest and best T3 Gadget Awards ever,” said T3.com Editor and Gadget Awards judge Kieran Alger. “The competition for places in the T3 Gadget Awards 2012 longlist has been fiercer than ever. The quality of the tech we’ve seen launched since last September, across all categories, has made the selection process the toughest since I’ve been involved.
“Last year we saw 967,000 votes cast by tech fans across the world and with new ways to vote via Facebook and Twitter, this year we’re hoping to break the 1m votes mark.”
With the highlight of awards night being the crowing of the Gadget of the Year, an award that was last year handed to Microsoft’s controller-free gaming peripheral Xbox Kinect, a broad range of categories see winners announced in the Commuter Gadget, Gaming Gadget, TV and Digital Media Service of the Year sectors.
