But is it a Spotify beater?

Virgin Media has launched PushLife, a free new app designed to help you enjoy music on your mobile.

Available for Android and Blackberry handsets, Virgin Media PushLife syncs your iTunes or other music library to your phone, and when you get back and plug into your computer, it’ll update your collection. It’ll also let you share what you’re listening to via Twitter or Facebook. But best keep your Jedward fascination to yourself.

PushLife will also recommend songs based on what you’re listening to, as well as collate extras like bios and images of the artists. There’s over a million tracks ready to download now from the Virgin Media Music Store, and if you take out a subscription it’ll tell you how many songs are left in your allowance.

Will it be enough to tempt you away from Spotify? Let us know via Facebook or Twitter.
