Twitter for iPhone gets iOS 4 update

Retina Display support and multitasking on board

Update puts Twitter well ahead of Facebook in iOS 4 stakes.

Twitter for iPhone has already been given the iOS 4 treatment, with the recently acquired official app now rocking Retina Display support and app switching so you can drop into other extras while tweeting.

The new version, dubbed Twitter for iPhone 3.0.1. has beaten rival Facebook to the punch, with the latter’s app still not primed for iOS 4, in spite of its huge popularity.
