Toughest compact camera ever?
The Olympus mju 770 SW can take one hell of a beating.
Olympus has taken the wraps off the newest model in its mju compact digital camera range. The 770 SW appears to aimed at the extreme sports/soldier/explorer/adventurer market, because this baby can take a fair bit of punishment.
The 7.1 megapixel camera is shockproof, freezeproof to a temperature of -10 degrees Celsius, crushproof (it can take a weight of 100kg) and waterproof to 10m. Add a special optional case and it'll be happily snapping away at a depth of 40m.
Other features include BrightCapture low-light technology, a 2.5-inch screen and a 3x optical zoom. And butterfingered coldwater divers don't need to wait long: it goes on sale in February for around £300.
