Tiscali launches HDTV with Harry Potter premiere

HD arrives on Tiscali's set-top boxes

Tiscali customers with a Tiscali+ set-top box will have access to HD films from Monday on a pay-per-view basis.

The broadband provider is launching its service next week with the UK TV premiere of Harry Potter and the Half Blood prince alongside all previous Harry Potter offerings.

New HD releases will cost £4.95 (compared to £3.99 in SD) and older HD releases will cost £2.99 (compared to £1.99).

Tiscali is also offering customers that start new subscriptions a free Tiscali+ digital recorder until 31 December.

Tiscali will have a full line-up of HD films soon for those who, like us, aren't Potter worshippers.
