Mobile network Three has announced that it is offering a special light weight version of the social network Facebook for its customers.

The company said that: “By sponsoring 0.facebook.com Three is enabling its customers to stay connected through Facebook with their friends and family from any mobile web browser without incurring any data charges.”

It will still be possible to upload or view content such as images and graphics but users will then be subject to applicable data charges.
