Samsung Galaxy Note to get Android Ice Cream Sandwich update in the UK. New buyers can now purchase the phablet with the new OS already installed

This is a highly anticipated upgrade that will be welcomed by Galaxy Note users from across the UK, and will boost the standard Gingerbread package which originally came with the device.

The Android 4.0 will be rolled out immediately for sim-free owners where as contract customers will have to wait a little longer for their network operators to assign the update to the handsets.

In addition, Samsung has announced that they're releasing a ‘Premium Suite’ which offers other features on the side of the latest Android version.

The ‘Premium Suite’ offers some additional applications on top of the Android 4.0 update. Two apps being ‘The S Note’ application and the ‘My Story’ application.

The S Note app aids you to create notebooks for various needs, such as travel notes or a diary. You can quickly type down notes or drawings and it automatically replaces your rough sketches and writing with clean-cut templates.

The My Story app lets you use various guidelines to create custom e-cards that you can send and share with family and friends.

There are quite a few apps on this package that really lets you employ your creative side, and of course the core OS update itself.
