The Last Of Us, Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic adventure story, appears to have had its May release date pushed back until June
The Last Of Us delayed
It seems that punters may have to wait for one of this year's most hotly anticipated PS3 exclusives for a little longer than was originally anticpated. The Last Of Us, Naughty Dog's adventure set in a post apocalyptic world, appears to have had its steert date pushed back from May to June.
Gaming website IGN has picked up on the fact that the product listing for The Last Of Us at Best Buy has been changed to June 18th - six weeks after its original street date of May 7th. IGN also notes, however, that neither Amazon nor GameStop have followed Best Buy's lead in this regard and still list the game's release date as May 7th.
Sony has declined to comment on the change in the listings.
The Last Of Us is the newest IP from award-winning developers Naughty Dog. In it, players are set loose in a world where social order has broken down and whose population has been decimated by a plague. The game's story centres on a man named Joel and a young girl named Ellie who try to survive in the lawless environment as they journey across the USA.
