Yet another busy week in tech has past us by, here are our highlight from the past seven days, enjoy.

News of the Week
It looks like the Apple could have a lot of work ahead of it as new patents emerge hinting towards exciting upcoming devices from the Cupertino company. The first patent to appear this week saw Apple targeting the 3D market as it unveiled its technology for glasses-free 3D displays in the home. This was followed a day later by the revelation of an upcoming tablet/laptop hybrid device that will feature a full keyboard with a sliding, transformable screen. Whilst these devices are still just in patent form Apple looks set to launch iOS 4.3 next week following a number of leaks.

Elsewhere on the Apple front, the iPad and expected iPad 2 have been stealing headlines as it emerged Apple has penned a suppliers contract to bring dual cameras to the next gen tablet. This news followed the revelation that the iPad 2 and RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook are to launch just days apart. For those looking to pick up an iPad ahead of Christmas, Three Mobile has announced it will offer subsidised iPads under £200 with other companies offering the leading tablet completely free.

Angry Birds is the biggest app ever released and it just got bigger as it is given a Christmas themed makeover and Angry Bird Seasons launches free on Android devices. iOS filled units received Angry Birds Seasons the following day, however, with a pricetag as news filtered through that the bird flinging app has topped 7 million Android downloads to date.

Microsoft has had an up and down week with the launch of Xbox Live Rewards marred by newsKinect has been hacked for the porn industry and the exciting news of a large Windows Phone 7 update bringing multitasking in the New Year being knocked by reports of staggeringly low Phone 7 sales to date. Chin up Microsoft, we at T3 think Phone 7 is a winner.
