A man in the US is being sued after he took his Twitter followers with him when leaving a job. News and reviews website PhoneDog is seeking damages of $2.50 per Twitter user per month over an eight month period after Noah Kravitz moved to a new roll taking with him his 17,000 Twitter followers, a figure which has since risen to in excess of 23,000. The case in being disputed in the American state of California.
Google+ does its sums
Google’s fledgling social network Google+ has seen its user figures soar to more than 62 million with the search giant predicting around 400 million users by the end of 2012. Having launched earlier in the year, Google+ has seen a rapid rise to prominence but little is known about how many of these 62 million continue to use the service alongside their Facebook and Twitter accounts and how many lay dormant and already forgotten.
Apple iPad 3 rumours roll on
With recent reports suggesting the eagerly awaited iPad 3 will be launched in February to coincide with the anniversary of Steve Jobs’ birthday, new rumours have emerged claiming the upcoming tablet will double its current battery life whilst adding a new, higher resolution collection of rear and forward facing cameras. Other iPad 3 rumours have suggested Apple will launch two new models, one with a high-end spec, a second with lower range array of innards.
Next-gen iPhone plays it safe with rubber
Rumoured since the day the iPhone 4S was announced the long mooted Apple iPhone 5 is back on the horizon with new reports suggesting the high-end handset will land in the autumn of 2012 with Apple scrapping its current luxurious glass aesthetic in favour of a plastic and rubber edged construct capable of better withstanding those inevitable knocks and bumps associated with everyday life and continued use.
When Fantasy becomes reality
Prepping to jump on the Windows Phone 7 bandwagon a new LG WP7 pocket blower has leaked online with LG Fantasy images hitting a number of blogs and industry websites. Set to launch in Q1 of 2012, think a CES 2012 or MWC 2012 unveiling, the LG Fantasy is said to boast a 4-inch display, 1GHz processor and an 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera bolstered by a second, 1.3-megapixel, forward-facing snapper.
