With just hours remaining until the winners of the 2010 T3 Gadget Awards are unveiled, we go behind the sceen at the venue for the largest awards ceremony of its kind in the world.
Later this evening comedian and TV personality Jimmy Carr will take to the stage at London's Old Billingsgate to reveal the winners of the fourth annual T3 Gadget Awards. The 19 featured awards categories recognise breakthroughs in innovation, design, retail and green credentials as well as weeding out the cream of the gadget crop for the ultimate in 2010 consumer technology, the T3 Gadget Awards Gadget of the Year.
More than three quarters of a million reader votes were registered for this year's Gadget Awards marking it out as the largest gadget awards ceremony in the world. This lofty label is to be further boosted by the attendance of more than 500 of the leading names in UK and global electronics, a host of celebrity fans and a selection of the most dedicated and loyal T3 readers.
With no clear favourites across any of the 19 categories, one of the closest fought battles of the awards is expected to come in the Phone of the Year category as Apple's scandal hit iPhone 4 goes up against last years Gadget of the Year the HTC Desire.
