T-Mobile Vivacity launched as budget Android 2.3 handset
Budget Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone unveiled by T-Mobile as the T-Mobile Vivacity lands as a 5-megapixel snapper touting handset
One half of the UK’s Everything Everywhere partnership T-Mobile has officially unveiled its latest own branded smartphone handset with the T-Mobile Vivacity hitting stores across the nation today.
Powered by Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread mobile operating system, whilst the Vivacity might not be lining up as an iPhone 4S or Samsung Galaxy S II rival, with eight days worth of standby time touted and the option of black or white colour schemes the budget device will make a perfect first time smartphone for a lot of users.
T-Mobile Vivacity Features
Boasting a 3.5-inch WVGA TFT capacitive touchscreen display alongside a 5-megapixel rear-mounted snapper and in-built Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth connectivity the Vivacity covers all of the required bases with ease. Whilst the 512MB of internal storage is disappointingly low, this can be expanded up to 32B by a microSD card.
"The T-Mobile Vivacity gives you everything you want from a smartphone,” said Paul Jevons, Director of Products and Devices at Everything Everywhere. “It offers the latest Android software, a large, high resolution touchscreen display and a stunning design - perfect for anyone looking for premium performance and great value for money.”
T-Mobile Vivacity Price
With the T-Mobile Vivacity UK release date taking place today those looking to snap up the Gingerbread device will have the option of a selection of pay monthly or pay-as-you-go deals.
Whilst those consumers looking to go down the PAYG route will be able to buy the handset for a minimalist £99, pay monthly offers will see the Vivacity offered free of charge on a 24 month, £10 per month contract.
