T-Mobile Galaxy S update delayed again

Further wait for soon-to-be-outdated version of Android

Upgrade had been expected today.

T-Mobile has put the brakes on its planned Android 2.2 FroYo upgrade for Samsung Galaxy S users, pushing the update back until at least next week according to one report.

Word is that the network had planned the boost to FroYo today. It comes a day after Google confirmed most of its phones now have Android 2.2 on board, but also means T-Mobile punters could be getting the boost just days before the next version of Android, 2.3 Gingerbread, gets official.

What’s more punters will not be getting an over-the-air upgrade, instead needing to plug in their phones and download the software at home. That’s poor form for users on the move.
