Indie Steve Jobs biopic reportedly set to begin shooting in May ahead of Q4 release

An indie film cataloguing the life of Apple co-founder and staring Ashton Kutcher as the man behind the iPod and the Mac is to launch in Q4

The Indie film biopic staring Ashton Kutcher as a young Steve Jobs is to begin filming in May ahead of a planned fourth quarter 2012 release, new reports have suggested.

Going under the working title of “Jobs: Get inspired,” the low budget flick will compete with the Hollywood backed movie on the life Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs based on the well received Walter Isaacson which is also expected to enter production later this year.

Set to catalogue the life of the notoriously temperamental yet inspiring Jobs between 1971 and 2000, Jobs: Get Inspired will see Punk’d come Two and a Half Men star Kutcher play the man largely responsible for bringing the world the likes of the iPod, iPhone and Mac.

With Joshua Michael Stern lining up to direct the Indie film, Jobs: Get Inspired is said to offer an “accurate and inspirational portrayal” of Steve Jobs’ life and character with director on the Apple head’s life and loves taken from “a wealth of source material.”
