Spike TV's Video Game Awards tease new titles
The Spike TV Video Game Awards are held each year, nominally to celebrate the year's top gaming titles. However, their real pull is as the launch platform for new games set to arrive on PCs and consoles in the following year, usually with juicy teaser trailers to whet the gaming community's appetite. With the "PS3 exclusive you won't believe" now revealed to be fungus-zombie survive-a-thon The Last Of Us, we can now direct our attention to the other big-name releases that are going to keep us pulling sickies for the next 18 months.
Titles peeking over the horizon include the much-hyped latest outing for everyone's favourite bald-headed gun-for-hire in Hitman: Absolution, a new hack and slash direction for Metal Gear Solid in MGS: Rising and a Modern Warfare fantasist's response to the global financial crisis in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Patriots. Check out the trailers hot off the VGA presses below for a taste of what will be dominating the gaming charts next Christmas.
