Having released a Sony S1 and S2 tablet video teaser last month, Sony has now outed the first hands-on video of the S2 tablet device offering a look at what is set to be its first foray into the Android tablet market.
Despite being just 18 seconds long the Sony S2 hands-on video offers the first detailed look at how the folding tablet will run Google’s Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system whilst giving an exciting insight into its unique form factor.
Boasting dual 5.5-inch touchscreen displays, the Sony S2 has been pegged with a September release date alongside its 9.4-inch more traditional looking tablet brethren the Sony S1.
Little else is currently known about the Nintendo DS-styled Sony S2 tablet with Sony having yet to reveal full specifications or confirmed release details. At the unveiling of its two upcoming tablet devices, however, Sony, the last of the big tech players to enter the tablet wars, confirmed the Android Honeycomb devices would support eBooks from the Sony Reader store, music and film from the Qriocity streaming service and PlayStation styled gaming.
