Sony has decided to give its first tablet entry an official title as the Sony Tablet S, not the Sony Tablet S1
Sony S1 now known as Sony Tablet S
Tech website Engadget has managed to get hold of more information concerning Sony's first entry into the tablet market, the Sony Tablet S.
Alongside the rename the Tablet S is going to be arriving with Android Honeycomb 3.1, whether it'll have a more comprehensive UI than was last seen is still open for discussion however. There's also word that Sony will be looking to upgrade the Sony Tablet S to Ice Cream Sandwich as soon as it becomes available.
The Tablet S will also come with a host of features which will mean the tablet is able to communicate with numerous Sony home devices such as streaming content to TV's as well as music systems. This will all be accompanied with Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited services.
Sony's aim is for the Tablet S to be heading to market in the first couple of weeks of September however that's not definite, no word on pricing either but as soon as T3 knows you'll know.
What do you think, is the Sony Tablet S a true rival for the tablet market? Let us know what you think on Facebook and Twitter.
