Is this Android-rocking Sony Ericsson with slide-out controls the real deal?
Sony PSP Phone photos leak online, but are they fake?
Spy-shot pictures of the heavily rumoured and increasingly tangible Sony PSP Phone have been leaked, offering a tantalising look and the Playstation-esqe phone prototype. The handset, which has been officially debunked as fake by Sony, is rumoured to be in development ahead of a pre-Christmas 2011 launch.

Falling in to the hands of the Engadget team, the prototype PlayStation phone features a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor, 512MB of RAM and a sizable 4-inch display. Although details are far from confirmed, the gadget blog claims that the snapped PlayStation Phone is likely to run Google’s Android 3.0 mobile operating system at launch.
With a sliding mechanism that reveals PlayStation style control buttons and trackpad, the PSP Go-looking handset is said to have scrapped the Memory Stick slot in favour of a microSD card port.
However, amid all the furore Sony has come out and done it's usual 'we won't comment on rumour and speculation' bit, going as far as to declare the pictures fake. Whether the company is telling the truth or merely saying that this isn't the final design remains to be seen, but stay tuned to T3.com and the T3 Twitter and Facebook feeds for further news.
