Sony PSP gets Carnival colour update

New paint job in limited numbers

If rumours are to be believed, an all-new PSP is launching this year. But that's not stopping Sony from banging out new variations of the current PSP-3000, the latest of which is the Carnival range.

And if you love brightly-coloured gadgetry, this particular Carnival will have you dancing with joy. Sony is now naming products from descriptions on paint tins, which means 'Vibrant Blue', 'Radiant Red', 'Bright Yellow' and 'Spirited Green' are incoming, all in limited numbers and so far, only available in Japan. But if these fly out in record time, there's always a chance that Sony will repeat the marketing exercise in other territories.

All are sold in packs, with the console and 2200mAh battery selling for the equivalent of £162, while a collector's bundle with 4GB Memory Stick, PSP pouch, wrist strap and cloth goes for around £203.
