RAW skills and beefed up lens support.
Sony NEX-VG20E camcorder unveiled
Sony’s had a busy morning, and it’s rounded off its string of imaging announcements with a new camcorder, the NEX-VG20E. Using the same E-mount lens system as the NEX-7 and NEX-5N, it comes full of features that budding directors will love.
Naturally, Full HD recording, in AVCHD, leads the line. There are 50p and 25p progressive modes for more movie-like shots, as well as RAW format support for pros looking to get the very best out of the camera.
Audio’s been given a boost too, with a new Quad Capsule Spatial Array microphone for picking up sound in a more effective way. The button layout has also been tweaked in order to be more intuitive.
The NEX-VG20E will be hitting stores in November. Looking to upgrade your camcorder? Tell us what you think of Sony’s new effort on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
