Sony Ericsson is pushing ahead with its Xperia range and with the announcement of the Xperia Neo V they're also showing off their new Gingerbread update 2.3.4
Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V arriving with Android update
Sony Ericsson has just unveiled the latest in its Xperia range, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V which will come with Sony Ericssons brand new Android Gingerbread update already on board.
The phone itself is very much in keeping with the Xperia family, offering a 1GHz processor and 3.7 inch TFT screen with the Mobile BRAVIA Engine which helps improve contrast and sharpness. You'll also find a 5MP snapper on the back and a front-facing VGA camera which will come in handy with the new Google Talk Video Chat functionality found embedded in the new Android update. The Neo V also has 720p video recording and will come with Sony's 3D sweep panorama functionality which can then be viewed on a 3DTV.
The update itself will be rolling across all other compatible Xperia handsets in October and includes a swipe text function and the ability to take a screen grab. You'll also get Google Talk Video Chat and a completely redesigned Facebook interface for the Xperia range. Finally you'll now be able to plug peripherals into an Xperia via the Media Dock letting you turn the Xperia Neo V into a portable office.
