Sony Ericsson tunes in to Vodafone

Customisable internet radio brings a fresh groove to Sony Ericsson's latest music phone.

The latest handset to burst from Sony Ericsson's labs has a few musical tricks up its sleeve. See, it exclusively hooks up with Vodafone's bespoke internet radio service, enabling you to tailor tunes to your tastes.

Christened the V630i, the lithe little blower latches onto Vodafone's Live! service to provide internet radio through its Radio DJ option - so the higher you rate a track, the more likely you are to hear similar songs.

Tunes that really get your mojo workin' can also be bought on the spot, and saved on the 256MB Memory Stick that comes bundled with the handset.

Bizarrely, this is the first music phone from Sony Ericsson to shun the Walkman brand, although the V630i is also able to play music transferred from a PC, supporting MP3 and AAC files.

Aside from its musical leanings, the phone also sports a full HTML browser and an extra large 1.9-inch display, as well as business tools including PC synchronisation.

Don't have a clue what those orange dots on the back are all about, but we dig the look all the same.
