Sony Ericsson cranks out radio phones
R300 and R306 blowers come with beefy integrated speakers for hip young gunslingers.
We're not normally ones to encourage young scallywags to pump tunes out of their mobiles in public, but these new Sony Ericsson radio blowers have really caught our eye.
Known officially as the R300i and R306i, we're talking standard fare, phone wise, with a VGA and 1.3-meg peeper respectively. There's no 3G either, but you do get a spot of lovely Bluetooth.
The real selling point is their neat radio styling, with a cool looking speaker slapped on the back of the R300 letting you get your favourite stations on the move.
The R306 is the one we fancy though. It's a clamshell that shows off two integrated speakers. Perfect for summer days when you're sipping Pimms and fancy tuning into a spot of cricket.
You can check out what you're listening to on the cell's display. Best of all SE has shoehorned in their TrackID tech, letting you record tunes and find out who's singing them. Classy.
Okay, we're not talking a high end Walkman phone here, but if you like your phones with novel features, this one's for you.
Sony Ericsson isn't planning a release date here in the UK just yet, but we'll be pressing them to slide them into a our sweaty palms.
