Tablet peeped, even though Sony Ericsson claims it has no slate plans.
Sony Ericsson 4G tablet spied
Sony Ericsson is working on a 4G tablet, with a prototype of the next-gen network-packing device snapped last week during Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The slate, spied by eagle-eyed Dutch bloggers at the TDIA stand, appear to cut a chunky figure, with a bezel that would make even the current-generation iPad blush. According to reps on the stand, the Sony Ericsson 4G tablet will come loaded with Android, with a 3 megapixel camera up front for video calling.
Sony Ericsson last week denied it was working on a tablet, a claim seemingly back up by leaked designs and details of the Sony-only S1.
What do you make of the Sony Ericsson 4G tablet? Enough to make you hold fire before slapping down your hard-earned on one of the myriad new Android tabs? Tell us now on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
The 4G tablet might not be official but the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play has made its debut. Check out our hands-on video below.
