Sony announces combination AV unit, TomTom satnav

XNV series combines multimedia and navigation

Sony has unveiled two new in-car multimedia AV centres with TomTom navigation. The two devices; the XNV-L77BT/ 770BT and XNV-L66BT/ 660BT both have widescreen 800x480 WVGA touchscreen displays and “virtual” 5.1 surround sound.

There is connectivity across a wide range of devices; Walkman, iPod, iPhone and USB memory drives, as well as integrated Bluetooth. On the navigation front, both XNVs feature TomTom’s HD Traffic, Google Local Search and Safety Alerts, as well as community navigation tool MapShare.

Both devices will be available in the UK in November 2010.
