Skype has introduced a ‘Photoshare’ update to its iOS app, giving users the ability to transfer snaps via instant message
Skype releases update for its iPad and iPhone app
The new feature is expected to become a popular alternative to emailing photos and encurring costly MMS charges, as there are no file size restrictions attached to the update.
The Microsoft-owned firm has also implemented software improvements, which it claims takes less of a toll on battery life.
This means users can keep the app running for longer without fear of their mobile devices running out of juice.
The update is available on kit running iOS 4.3 or later, and can be downloaded from Apple’s App Store now.
