Sky's new update for the Sky+ iPad app sees even more integration with the Sky box itself including some completely new features just for the iPad
Sky updates Sky+ iPad app with remote control and more
Apple iPad
Sky have released a new update to the Sky+ iPad app which brings with it a new touch remote control function as well as complete Planner management and a new UI.
The update is the most considerable yet with its star feature being the touch remote control, by connecting the iPad app to your Sky+ HD box over the same internet connnection you can then use the iPad and swipe up or down to change channel, swipe back to rewind and tap to pause.
The Planner management feature uses the same connection to your Sky+ HD box but lets you delete, save and organise your recorded TV all from the iPad without interrupting the TV that's going on in front of you.
It's available now through an update on the iTunes App Store and according to Sky's Luke Bradley Jones, Brand Director, TV Products this is just the start with more new features coming later in the year.

We're working to fix the problem right now and will have it working as soon as possible
