Broadcasting behemoth Sky has shown its belief in Apple’s market leading tablet announcing a re-vamped version of the Sky Sports News app bringing a new UI and bespoke content to the iPad.
Revealing to T3’s sister site Tech Radar that it wanted to “capitalise on the ever-growing popularity of the iPad” Sky’s newly refreshed Sky Sports News iPad application will keep users up-to-date with all the latest goings on in the sporting world thanks to a new, dedicated editorial team.

Free to download, those looking to access the revised Sky Sports News iPad app without additional charges will need to be Sky Sports & Entertainment Extra subscribers whilst those looking to access the app without plumping for a full Sky sub will need to fork out £4.99 per month.
Offering a comprehensive roundup of all the latest sporting action, those making use of the new look app will be presented with ever evolving video and written content, time specific data and a host of bespoke graphics for a number of top sports including rugby, golf and of course football.
